I haven’t made such mistake yet and if you start by corners then you will be fine. But I have scraped/peeled off skins from around the casted head by prying it with a fine spatula.

@@ArtofTaxidermy thanks for your reply. I watched the video. Awesome. Any particular alum you recommend? Lots of choices out there. Thanks and keep up the great work.
LOL I'm bothering you about the wire gauges. I just want to know what is best to support the weight before the bird starts drying. I have started using the black annealed wire as it is so flexible and great to work with. I can figure out what's best on ducks, but a flying 9 pound Canada goose is another story. I got some 10 ga annealed and was hoping that would work for the support to base, or even for the wings. I live in the "decoy capital of the world" and hope to get more waterfowl in to do. My thing is mammals , from wolf to weasel, and have done caribou, elk, and moose before ( and some bison, but geeze they are heavy skinned). I guess I will ask the folks at the facebook waterfowl group I am in what sizes they use for annealed wire on geese.
Haha... no you are not bothering me at all I just keep forgetting to look up the gauges. I will need to look it up and get back to you. Keep forgetting 🤦🏻♂️
Finally seeing this process in detail. Question: is any way to make correction if the skin wasn't glued at the right place?

BTW, did you do any video on mounting the macaw?
Yes but since the finishing work is not done on it yet so I haven’t edited the video yet. Soon.
Hi. Great job and video. What is the name and where can I get the instrument that you dried a bird ?
It’s a pet blower. You can get it from Amazon.
@@ArtofTaxidermy Thanks you
