They slept with dark-skinned women because they liked them sexually. However, when it came to marriage they preferred light-skinned women who belonged to influential families (Here his wife) for more status in the society. So, they contributed in racism and colourism.

I love Manto.I read many Manto stories including "Khol do","ALLAH Rakha","Khali Shalwar","Thanda Ghost" and much more.I understand what Manto is trying to saying in this Afsana but i want to reconfirm from someone who also read this Afsana. Yes you can tell me your version.It is true people are very far from Manto's perspective and people didn't get what he trying to convey,a bitter realities of life.Sex is a subplot in Mato's stories and people get indulge in it and forgetting the main plot,what he is trying to tell.
