This sounds like the riot review. The seat sucks...here we go again. Maybe the “seated to standing transitions are difficult and awkward” because of your age. Everything’s a little slower than when you were 25 Mark. It’s a bitch to get old 😂
At 6'3" 230 lbs, fit(ish) and active, I have the same complaint about the seat. It squishes too much over bumps while sitting, but the shape is good. I put a M8000 mountain seat on my XF800 and I find it to offer much better support, but it is not perfect either.
Arctic Cat owner must replace the very bad spring 1704-736 (90-250 lbs) which does not have long enough movement in the bumps in trail use by the old 1704-236 (110 lbs) with a preload of 1/16 inch only. The coil of the rear springs is made far too tight or small which creates rear dryness. The old springs with numbers starting with 1704 -... were much less dry at the start of movement due to their larger windings.
You forgot to mention the Cat 2 stroke engines are the most durable and reliable compared to all 2 strokes out there.... for many years now. Cat mills, even going back some years to the Suzuki variants have been amazing.
Great vid man love the colors on that thing use to have a old cat it was quick a hell nothing touched back then .been a while since I have been on a sled tho so need one .I need something that can go any where I point it no groomed trails just deep snow with lots of inclines and drop offs creeks logged out areas ...so def need a 24 inch track
Good to hear it handles better. The 17 xc 137 I rode a few weeks back handled like garbage with constant understeer. I liked the power of the old motor as well as the ride but the handling alone definitely outweighed the power and ride for me. Fox qs3's are incredible.
Cat totally missed an opportunity here with the RR. It's a neutered namesake now, nothing like it used to be. They should have dropped the RR and offered the RXC in a 600 and 800 with all the race spec goods. 90% of the stuff Mark is talking about is addressed on the RXC. Wake up Cat.
@@brandon65678 im pretty critical of these guys. They have a large voice, but they just miss the boat too much. If generalizing with fancy gimmick words, these are your guys.
@@toddcatlin4749 my comment was sarcasm. Yes. It's a arctic cat engine. Anyone who has looked at Yamaha or arctic cat in the last few years knows this.
Oh, I didn't catch that. I'm working on about 3 hrs sleep. No worries. I just love riding. But, I really can't wait to buy an all American built Artic Cat.
@@toddcatlin4749 don't sweat I'd bud. There is no reason to apologize. Take a look at snowmobile development since 2013. Wow. They sure are advanced now
Everything about this review screams stay away. ST won't outright crap on a sled this review is as close to saying the thing is garbage as they ever get.
Sounds like a last minute review that got scraped together after about 5 minutes of seat time. The '19 RR got a rave review from ST, and it is almost the exact same machine.
People want to see under the hoods not just the outside

What a beautiful machine! I may have to retire the faithful Firecat in a few years and upgrade to one of these beauties....in the 6000 class though.

NOT ANYMORE
600 R etec?
Won’t doubt their reliability but nothing compares to the etec motors.
Oh wow a sdi motor, welcome
to 2005 arctic cat
Still beat the 850 polaris in the manufacturer stock drag races.
don’t quote me but I think the Polaris 850 is technically a SDI motor too
2004 actually lol

It probably had the stock carbides on it, they are awful and not aggressive enough.
Nothing wrong with arctic cat seat
I gotta agree with him. I’ve ridden a 2013 and 2017 cat and the seat just isn’t that great. I prefer the seat on my 2010 sno pro 500

Yes. We want 800 in xc version, good idea.
So if its new for 2020 does that make it a CTEC 2.5? or 3?
I think the cats really trippy , been looking at the Cross over's
Cat's are the least tippy of the bunch, or at least they were. I haven't tried the new front suspension
Seat too soft? That front end smashes snow. 21 doo is close
They probably changed it due to the 800 ctecs having flames coming out the exhaust and melting side panels lol
can u use it for ditch bangin and stuff even tho its a trail sled
We don’t want to hear about we want to see some in-depth videos
Lesters..... This isnt gonna cut it for a review.
Mike H where’s their brother Moe Lester when you need him 😂😂

I want one with studs and boondocker dominator turbo kit
That sure is a cool 2 stroke Yamaha
Ummm... not a Yamaha engine. It's thier own American built engine. They have thier own engine plant in St. Cloud ,Minnesota .I will own one soon.
