I’m usually 99% aligned with your opinions but as a dad of two ya gotta save Redwood Creek Challenge Trail! It’s such a welcome reprieve with the little ones. The activities in there are super cute - great place to enjoy a beer while the kids get some energy out without having to wait on a line haha. I know there is very limited appeal for anyone over 10 but for all the parents out there I must defend my beloved RCCT! 😅

Yup! Redwood Creek is sincerely a one of a kind treat! It is Disney's enchanted Forest! An excellent place to recuperate and build the core power so that one can recharge for another fray in the Adventure! Plus it is the last bastion of children's fun beside Tom Sawyers' Pirates Lair in the adjacent Park, so to speak!
And it is actually the canvas on which Grand Califiorian is painted!
Yeah I miss the trail.

Ha ha. So fun seeing you two go on Wild River Run! I haven’t been on that in like 15 years. I agree that California Adventure could have more character interactions. The one area where they do that really well is Avengers Campus. They always have multiple characters walking around or doing photo ops.
I’ve never seen the opossum by the river ride. I will look next time I’m there. I have, however, seen the opossum while standing in line for Rise of the Resistance. They’re great animals. They keep rodent infestations from happening.
i never hear a bad opinion from this man i totally agree they really need to step up there game and actually entertain there guests we’re already spending SOOOO MUCH MONEY give us our moneys worth!

Bottom line… cost to them… sad fact everything is sold out with out spending a cent… Totally agree… when they started removing the live entertainment at both parks was the sign of things to come… then the pandemic hit… and that was the end of what Disneyland used to be… so sad… I miss Hard Days Night at Tomorrow Land Terrace and the Mad Hatter at Hollywood Land… Aladdin at the theater

The sound stages around the the hollywood backlot arent empty. Theyre used for Disney Imagination Campuses
I still dream of a time where Disneyland’s Halloween Time features Oogie Boogie Bash at DCA, Mickeys Halloween Party at Disneyland, and Trick or Treating in Downtown Disney ( for those who missed out or couldn’t afford the in-park events). Or another thing I would like to see, they can have people sign a wavier if needed. Just let people ( kids and adults) wear costumes in the park. That way they can enjoy themselves, enjoy the decorations, and still make if feel like its own event.

We did the Disneyland and DCA Halloween events a number of times...It was WAY better when it was in Disneyland proper...DCA is just meh in general anyways and the Halloween event was similar. The Villains Grove was cool, but thats it...the treat trails were not as good as they were in Disneyland either. We havent event bothered to try and go the last 2 years...no reason to...nothing new and its in DCA so that is already a massive negative against it.
I would say if you have never done it, to go check it out, its fine. But kind of a one and done thing really...and with the prices they are charging it is massively overpriced for what you get...When I can pay less than $200 at Knotts and get parking, the Boo-Fet, front of the line and Scary Farm admission...that is a steal in comparison as you get WAY more bang for your buck with that.
I absolutely agree, they need to do something with OBB. I was so excited to go for the first time last year. I spent thousands of dollars on tickets and hotel and 4 hours in the queue. I was so disappointed! It absolutely was not worth the time or the money! It was so boring and uneventful. I love villains so I was really looking forward to the parade. It was okay but they really could have added more. Plus there was no exclusive merch available.
Theme parks need to walk a fine line of choosing to be a park for all or for the extreme thrill ride crowd. The perfect blend is crucial to success. I’m 64 and we still do Disney parks and abandoned cedar point etc because we don’t do coasters and screens anymore

I think redwood creek can be turned into a family friendly attraction good for the young and old. There needs to be more rides EVERYONE can enjoy that’s what makes MK special. Kids and gramma need stuff to do besides waiting for people to get off the extreme rides and shop and eat
Totally agree about them making some upgrades for OBB finally! 1 thing they did change for the worse was their themed drink, the first year it was really good then the next years they made it super minty and gross lol

Feels like Disneyland really lost its magic because of lack of entertainment. Both for kids and adults. They used to have live swing bands every Saturday night at the Royal Ball next to the castle and they never brought that back after the pandemic but the magic key prices went up like crazy compared to APs but for less value than before.

I’ve found 26 pizza planet trucks in one day (Downtown + Disneyland). Heading to DCA this weekend to film the remaining 24! 😆

@@ThemeParkObsessionDD Very hard! It really is impossible to find all 50 in one day. I filmed each location because some I could only spot when watching the footage back.
