Just a clarification, Wangnan owes debt to prince’s father not Lurker.
Lurker’s just a henchman who goes after the people who owed debt.
Also, a bit cut content here.
Lurker was extra upset because he learned that Prince’s father used up all his money to send Prince up to the 20th floor and that Nia was actually working for them for a long time.
The loan sharks were tracking their pockets which sort of works like their version of phone but it has more uses. Basically, even if you moved apartments they can still discover where you are once you order food.
Nia was also murdered way rougher in the webtoon. He was stabbed countless times while you hear him screaming in agony for like two straight pages until he dies.

"The voucher is fake" Funniy enough, the fact that it's real is an actual plot point. Free vouchers for food is one of the way Lurker's company keeps track of debtors if they run away. Nia was working with Lurker for Prince's dad: Even when debtors run away, if they keep ordering from the same restaurants that allows Nia (and presumably other people) to rat them out to Lurker. That's why Nia gave a voucher to Wangnan, so he could track him down if Wangnan failed and ran away but used the voucher anyway. That wasn't explained here.
A bit weird they didn't even explain how Viole lost and Wangnan and the others won in the anime version, that seems kind of important xD Wangnan tricked Viole by giving him the wrong remote, he made Viole add him (and his group) which automatically made a 6 room group (room Wangnan, room Miseng, room Akraptor, room Prince, room of the lipstick lady and finally Viole's room) of 7 people and made the whole group pass instead of giving Viole his own remote which would have made everyone but Viole fail.

Nia's death was a lot worse and more "graphic" in the manhwa . Kim Lurker broadcast him slowly killing Nia so everyone , both in comic characters and us reader heard Nia screaming and begging him to stop in multiple pages , until the only sound that came out was Nia' dripping blood and Kim complaining how "stringy Nia's meat" was , It was very disturbing read.

Another thing this episode missed besides what everyone says is that in the conversation in the end Wangnan also mentioned how he felt it would be a bit hypocritical because while climbing he's also had to kill people and how he might kill even more and end more dreams to keep climbing and accomplish his dreams. Still they're very different things because Nia's was killed just for the fun of it and I assume the kills from Wangnan were in self defence.

one thing to up-lift season 2 of tog. the storytelling... give me another story that hade so much in 4 episodes, we kinda had many characters, factions, motives, and actions, unknown outcomes, and satisfying twists.

As someone who has re-read the webtoon multiple times, I find it so disappointing to see the anime quality deteriorate because of all the cool shit that is yet to come. Im still holding out tho

Yeah, I think they skipped some scenes mainly with Wangnan's thoughts in this eps, other than that it's actually quite a decent eps not great tho.

I know you were joking about Wangnan crying about Nia’s death but actually happened in the manwha. Wangnan sobs while eating his ramen by himself
