Dude you are the goat, I have never seen a more precise outline technic explanation ever, normally people only teach one and move on, thank you for your wisdom
I don't remember if I commented yet or not, but I need to say that I just don't know why you don't have more subscribers. This is the only channel I have ever seen talk about this, and I needed it so long ago. The geometry nodes thing is giving me a bit of anxiety, but it also is exactly what i need. I needed to be able to add rounded corners on the inside of things, not to mention I want to do anime, and most of the time, the insides of lines are like that. This is genuinely glorious. And the ability to edit the line art and make it look more interesting is something I have wanted for ages. My only wish is that the lines could look like some of my fave line art tools I use. I love going for an intentionally scratchy look. It makes drawings look more visually appealing, and helps an artist stand out from the typical Instagram artists because it being less perfect and polished makes it better.
Good Sir, it is my humble opinion that your channel is possibly the most underrated blender channel on RUclips. You should be over 100,000 subscribers like yesterday. I don't share many RUclips videos but you sir need to be well know in the community. Dude you are Fresh! Excellent video!!!!

this is the tutorial i didnt know i needed. and you add so much character to your videos with all the memes and sound effects scattered through. i love it
Wow, your instructions are amazing! Thank you for taking the time to put them together. You have no idea how much time I have spent searching for a sensible ways to create outlines in Blender. Although I have been using Blender for a while, I am still a newbie when it comes to using Grease Pencil. Your instructions are incredibly helpful. Thanks a million!🙂
the most efficient method for look dev viewport animations in real-time is outline with shaders, solidify method increases poly count too much for viewport to handle and the geo-node method is also too heavy for single threaded workloads, use solidify for low poly objects with hard edges and use shader method on other objects
@@levimagony its not for final production its to get a generalized feel of your work, once you get the results you're looking for, toggle the solidify method for renders only, i'd say for viewport look dev its good enough.

Hey Levi, love your vids; they are super helpful. Can you teach me how to render image sequences with the "outline with compositor" method? I couldn't figure out how to render an animation in PNG, with transparent background and the outline with compositor all together. 🥲I need the outline with compositor method because the edges doesn't bled into the mesh.
Go to render properties (camera icon), film > enable transparent. When you are in the compositor make sure you plug the node setup into the compositor output and render.
