Gutted I missed one of my favourite opals!!!! These are hands down my favourite opals "shells"!!!!! I really love Brazilian aswell and you introduced me to it!!!!
I particularly loved these ones. The yellow and orange played so well together. On video the are so mesmerizing. I can only imagine how they look in real life! Oh and your closing words are always a nice treat.
Looks like Labradorite its so bright. Amen to your blessing. I was sure that opal was going to be a dud, but you managed to pull it out and save! That is what I enjoy is watching you navigate a path regardless of natures way of making things a challenge. That is pure creativity on the fly and very well done!
Wow - those stones could be the nicest I have seen so far on RUclips. For me - the whole process is an absolute kick. Right from figuring out which way to thru to polish.
The opal has always been my favorite jule. Don't have the finances nor space to bring in the tools. But I can enjoy spending time with you while you work. Favorite part? I love hearing where the different stones come from. Thanks
El ópalo es mí piedra favorita por los colores que asocio con alegría, me impresiona el temple y conocimiento para recortar. Me encantó el vídeo un abrazo enorme desde Costa Rica pura vida
I like when you are cutting a stone full of sand and you think nothing will come of it and touch the wheel a few times more and the sand disappears not always the case thou great show mate all the best
I love seeing a Opal come to life when you take the top off opals are the most beautiful of gem stones nothing else comes close, the play of colours and variations are incredible and the range of colours every single Opal is unique and special in its own way. Love the colour flash’s in these two gems
My favorite part about watching cutting and polishing videos on opal is learning from people who know what they're doing! I have recently found a bunch of Opal in Eastern Washington and thought it was just common opal but once I got home and cleaned it up realize that almost all of it has play of color and color bars going all over the place I am going to try and attempt to cut and polish some of it here soon but I don't want to ruin it so I haven't done it yet. I have a couple pieces that are the size of my head also found a bunch of opalized lava rock with tiny little pins of color everywhere kind of like pinfire opal I am thinking about putting a video on RUclips because I don't know a whole lot yet and I would kind of like to get someone who is more knowledgeable to take a look at it. Great video and thanks for the knowledge transfer it's much appreciated!!!👍
Love your show Rob. I share it on my Facebook page every Thursday to draw in more people for the fun. I love the whole opal cutting process so much so I cut them myself lol. The final polishing is always the best part...
Love watching opal cutting videos. Grinding the edges to find the color bar and then working down to the color bar and revealing the full color is my favorite part. Hoping to win one of your giveaways would be my ultimate favorite part 😉😉
Your lyrical prose at the 9 min mark....captures the correlation I carry. The way I see the compelling flashes of colors of an opal and the amazing flashes of the ever shifting hues of light our spirits share with one another. 🥰🥰🥰
Hi! Thank you for showing this beautiful opal! I'm Christina from Sweden and my favourite part is to see the final part with the results! This one was a real beauty 🤩 Merry Christmas to you all! 💝 👋🏼😁
Hello everyone! My favorite part of watching opal cutting videos would have to be a few things, for one the sound of taking rhe opal from wheel to wheel so calming and relaxing as I'd imagine it is just the same to actually cut an opal yourself. The second would be finding out the patterns, and the third would be the end result.
I'm curious if different types of Polish work better on opal from one location (like lightning ridge) work differently on opal from a different location (like Ethiopian), or is it that the location doesn't make a difference on what type or grade of Polish media???
These are beautiful. When I watch opal polishing I love hearing the process of determining how to get the best stone.
Hands down love the reveal of the opal !!!!!
It is amazing watching the patterns, and colors that emerge from the rough.
The reveal is my favorite seeing all the color 😊
My favorite part is the grinding down and watching how it comes out so beautifully. Thanks for sharing Robert 👍🏼🌻
Opal cutting is like Christmas-anticipation!
My favorite part is the reveal at the end.

I love watching the colour getting exposed and the shape evolving, then the final polish to showcase the beautiful colours 💖

Every video I watch is a lesson, when I start cutting Opals I would like to know what I am doing.
Always love seeing how roughs come out at the end.

My favorite part of the videos is watching the initial rough in on the opal, seeing the possibilities of what it hides.

I watched from the very start to finish so how did I miss how to enter to win
I dont have a favorite part...it is all good, thanks for sharing.
When I watch you cutting, I'm afraid you are cutting to much color away but at the end of the cut I understand what yu had to do.

Great question
Muy bello el rojo no es muy comun enlos opalos
