I always find it interesting that many play actors are continuously impressed with their ability to memorize lines and pretend to be someone, in gross generality, as many times as they like until they get what they want from the boss. Here, we have gazillions of the most minute of technical details in this art of playing a complex instrument. Hands feet and mind, reproduced consistently, in syncopation, with groove, touch, power, and chops for miles... all while "speaking" coherently with other band members.... what an amazing artist! Just blows me away... poof!!!
Gunnar in my opinion is a drummers drummer. One of the best drummers in the game that is hanging below that radar. I’ve been a fan of yours since The Exit and watch your videos daily for inspiration. Thanks for all you do!
I didn´t knew about you before Puscifer, but now you are in my top 5 alive drummers., along with Danny Carey, Josh Freese, Thomas Haake, and Jimmy Chamberlin. Exquisit delightful drumming. Also love your tone.

*will have the dedication and discipline to get this good. Its not insurmountable, it just takes a lot of work. Don't be discouraged if you are starting out.
Saw you guys for SESSANTA in Raleigh and MAN! You rocked it brother. I loved that there were moments for each musician to steal the show and elevate the audience higher and higher. I'm a drummer myself so seeing the three of you guys up there vibing was incredible. So inspirational. I got lost in some of the complex grooves you played, playing with different off beats and bringing in different voicings on the hi hat foot and FX cymbals to add depth and layers to the grooves. So funky man, I love it. Do you give zoom drum lessons or anything like that? I'd love to pick your brain on the art of arranging drum parts. Thanks so much for the inspiration and POCKET!

Using a Ludwig acrolite snare. Those are good old snares. Josh freeze also mentioned in a recent interview that he likes those snares.
