No hardware but I bet that your someone has an old measuring tape that would work great for a top closure for free. Love your bag and teaching skills. Thank you 😊 God bless you and yours! 😊❤

Excellent idea Cathy! Have you seen the snap coin purses on RUclips? They use old tape measures. I've never tried it, but they look super fun! Thanks for watching!

I love that you don’t always know the outcome before you try it on film (or at least that’s the impression) it gives great fun and suspense to the video! 🎉❤

Hi Ann - I do film in "real time" so I am usually trying something for the first time. But to be honest, I'll keep a failed attempt in a video if I manage to find a successful approach. Thanks for watching!

Thanks Cynthia - it was a bit brain bending, but I'm really glad it worked out to add some interest to the strap. Thanks for watching.

Great video, will definitely give your pull string (reusable) idea a try currently use a safety pin which has its own challenges

Hi Debee - I'm glad my pull string experiment worked out - I wasn't sure how I was going to get the strap to work out otherwise (and hadn't even thought of a safety pin!!). Thanks for your ongoing support!

My grandmother made many garments and she showed me this technique many years ago.

Thanks Loretta! I like the ones with hardware better, but this is a great place to start if you want to try something without the investment in materials.
