- This off road beast is really something to see! This is a beautifully constructed short wheel base off the road buggy. NRE's X Ram Chevrolet LS has the meanest sound in town. Tom did not fit too well in the passenger seat and did not like being a ping pong ball in the cockpit. Go to the King of the Hammers site to get the scoop on this unique off road race. It is brutal. We were late uploading today because of other obligations. This is NRE TV Episode 231.

I was just thinking about what if NRE built a motor for an ultra4 buggy, then I found this. Time to build something ridiculousness for a rock bouncer.
Keep up the awesome work.
leave it to Tom to call the winch a "wench" lol god bless you Tom, you are a straight up badass!
Can't wait to get one of my own some day. Full custom car, the works.
This car is amazing! That Gigglepin is huge. Wow. I would kill for a ride in that thing.
That LS growls nice
Tom is such a badass . I wish i knew half of the shit he has forgotten about motors . I would kill to learn from him
bravo Sirs!
All NRE prices can be found on their website.
Хочу такой двигатель!
Gran motor, pero con tremendas suspensiones podria probarlo en un terreno mas accidentado y no en caminos.
How do you get 700ftlb of torque out of a 8.1L?
The 572ci has 650ftlb and its a 9.4L...
i would like to see the x ram with twin turbos imho it would look better than the alien intake that way you could turbo 4 cylinders at a time control an engine that way half and half
Gdam!
Surprised I didn't see any safety wire on the Heim joints
Jamessr23 I don't think that's remotely necessary, given the fact that those are way over spec and the torque value nuts is probably 200 ft pounds or more.
How much would a motor build like this cost?
Just find out how much you are willing to spend and search for a good crate engine within your budget.
That is a "RED WINCH" brand
8.1 liter? That's the biggest LS motor I've heard of.
LME made one with 8.2L (502ci)
Interesting
the 8.1l 496 is a common big block in busses, box trucks, some chevy pickups and vans if you ordered them. My cousin has a 1 ton chevy handicapped van that has a 8.1 in it.
This 8.1 is an LS motor though. Totally different.
Tank77 LS is a small block, the engines you mentioned are big blocks.
This buggy is a copy of Ben napiers buggy
