The interesting thing about this whole "slender man" concept is actually based on the phobia feeling that someone is constantly watching you. Your mind is trying to make out of what it is and this slender "figure" is being processed through your head and the longer you stare at it, the worse it becomes until the point where you basically lose your mind.
Well no.. It was actually based on the concept of mothers telling their children about certain monsters to get them to behave. Slenderman was folklore; brought to life through cautionary childrens tales. The family kept using the same tale, spreading through generation after generation and it kept him alive.
This game wouldnt be for me then i liked beimg watched😂 but ill still watch the game play cause the graphics are spot on if only Ark and Fallout 4 was like this id play back and forth👍
@1:53 - When movies and TV shows began using phone numbers more frequently in their plot lines, people who actually owned those numbers started to complain that they were getting too many prank phone calls. So the phone companies reserved 555-XXXX for fictional use.
On a similar note, nowadays if you see a non 555 number in media it's often a number that was specifically set up as a promotion tie in. The movie Evan Almight was a good example as the number 1800-Go-4-wood was in the movie a few times and if called Morgan freemans God character answered in a recording
My aunt owns 163 acres of forest and it was just like this game, from the long walk to the house, the house being separate from the woods even the trees and flora are the same, I used to walk the property a lot at night. And after dinner around 10 or 11 or so one of us would have to take all the food scraps and walk a couple feet into the forest to dump it with just a flash light. I’ve always had a fascination with this game. Anything to do with looking through the trees and you think something’s behind one is beyond terror I love it.🖤🤍❤️
For those who don't know I believe the 555 numbers are actually designed specifically for dummy numbers as long as they lack an area code for that reason.

I don't think I have seen you quite as flustered in your other horror playthroughs as you were with this one! Good on you Fooster for getting through it. This game is really well done with the ramp up of the tension. The excellent musical changes that just drive up the unease without you even really noticing, like that slow deep drum beat (almost a heartbeat). The incremental pursuit from Slenderman as well. Getting closer and closer with each sighting. I was extremely uncomfortable and I was just watching lol.
I live in Wisconsin where back in 2014, 2 girls lured and stabbed another girl 19 times to "please" Slender Man who they thought was real and lived in a mansion in Northern Wisconsin.
Charlie's screaming as he got taken, during the flashback at the hour mark, was so much more horrific in the original... look it up.😢 It also looks like they've made the game easier; during the mine bit where you first met the kid, you also had Slender Man himself to contend with; and in the farm section, you couldn't go into the grass for too long, etc.
OMG, I remember watching our teenage son play slender man when it came out, and it terrified me. Watching you play this Fooster had me so tense and on edge. My stomach muscles were cramping from tensing so much 😂 but that damn creepy kid in the cellar was by far the worst thing ever. I had to pause the video a few times. I was so scared 😂 great content, mate.

I've never been jumpscared or terrified by a horror let's play so much before - hands to face, curled up on my chair, head angled away from my screen and everything. It's so well done- especially the portion in the cellar!! Thank you for your sacrifice playing this game, Foostie! 🤣
I remember when slenderman went viral. There was actually a murder case in US where 2 teens got so obsessed about it they unalived their friend in an attempt to summon or banish it (can't remember which)
Okay its been a while since you posted a vid that had me jumping out of my skin... yup this did that! Only a bit bummed I watched during the day. I'm totally re-watching this on a stormy night! I'm binge watching Friday the 13th tonight! Thanks for the spooks!
I wouldn't worry about missing out on the Slender craze, all of the games were just note-hunts with minimal gameplay and a tv-static effect if you looked at Slender. Dare I say, they could barely be called 'games'. The mania behind them was by far scarier. Even-so all this, I love me a good Fooster scare.
Damnnn Fooster, you passed through the last page at 37:54, it was on the construction site, right next to the place where you died the first time hahahahahaha
This game introduced me to the horror genre! Such a fantastic game- super simple, creating hair-raising tension with minimal resources. Glad to see it still holding respect

Much love from Australia As a tip, from memory Slender Man will only start to hunt once the first page is collected. I don't know how it has change since then though! Edit: I now see that this is nothing like the original we know and love, stay safe out there
OMG Slender man was also my very first horror game!!! I remember my ex-girlfriend was obsessed with everything horror and insisted I played this game. was absolutely horrifying!

There was actually a murder case in US where 2 teens got so obsessed about it they unalived their friend in an attempt to summon or banish it (can't remember which)
Summon
Okay its been a while since you posted a vid that had me jumping out of my skin... yup this did that! Only a bit bummed I watched during the day. I'm totally re-watching this on a stormy night! I'm binge watching Friday the 13th tonight! Thanks for the spooks!
Nice 😂
Slenderman was made by a guy who won a Lovecraft contest using that design and the myth of the Tallman monster of his town
I would have really enjoyed the old version of this one tbh and reading up on creepypastas is something I used to enjoy tbh
Yes! Just got the notification, it means only one thing…….headphones are on lights are off & plenty of snax to get me through!
Damnnn Fooster, you passed through the last page at 37:54, it was on the construction site, right next to the place where you died the first time hahahahahaha
I came to the comments looking to see if anyone else noticed that he missed a page
I played it back in the day. Remake looks absolutely gorgeous
Wow I remember when the original was talked about. This is going to be a good one Fooster, I never will expect anything less coming from you.⚡👌
1:09:38 THIS IS ALWAYS A BAD SIGN 😰
@@MJ-00001one of the worst things EVER
I remember laughing at my friend freaking out over the 8 pages. My first horror was dead space so 8 pages was a laugh n a half
That first big jumpscare took years off my life 😅
when you started the generator on the hill behind you where the crowes circled in the original you can spot slender standing there stalking you
Horror games scare me a bit. Watching horror games scare you is pure fun. Great video, just don't over do it and die on us.
I’ll try David
This game introduced me to the horror genre! Such a fantastic game- super simple, creating hair-raising tension with minimal resources. Glad to see it still holding respect
That thing that was chasing you do you reckon was the kid that went missing that was creepy when it jumped at you lol 😂 thanks fooster for great vid enjoy rest of your weekend 👍
I am surprised that you didn't think suspect that the child chasing you was the missing kid. The lore does mention kids helping slenderman
Dude this was perfect for Friday the 13th and I had to wait until nightfall to watch and it didn't disappoint
This physically hurt me multiple times! I feel kinda bad now for the stuff we put you through with these games. 😨
You don’t put me through anything lol I enjoy horror a lot and always have. Sometimes I just get GOT a lot harder 😂
I have laundry going in the basement and now… I’ll be waiting until the morning to finish it! 🤣 Thanks for the great video Fooster!
😂😂
I played the demo of this game on Xbox back in the day. I remember i was in a party with like 3 other friends and it took me a good hour to approach that girl hunched over in the old house.
Love getting a notification for Fooster! Keep it up buddy!!
I started watching your vids when you were at like 300k subs and still watching all ur vids till now i even intro your channel to my wife and she lovin it please dont stop being our fav youtuber❤️🔥

YES !!! Fooster time ! Always a wild and fun ride. Thanks Fooster, take care bruv.
Honestly one day i looked up scary game videos and you popped up! I am so happy i found your channel, you make my boring days much more exciting being able to watch your videos, thank you for being awesome fooster 😁
I did not expect fooster to mention Markiplier, the only two RUclipsrs i actually love to watch
So excited! And so happy it’s a longer video too! My partner and I were going to watch a Halloween movie tonight but then we saw you uploaded this video and this will be our Halloween “movie.” 🎃
The fact that I’m at home alone, hearing noises, knowing I’m alone, but I still choose to watch Fooster Play one of the scariest games that scared me as a child. Somehow it makes me feel……. Not so alone! I mean Friday the 13th has always been a good luck day for me so I feel like this is a sign of good luck. This is what I kind of wanted so happy Friday 13th everybody😂
Love your content as always my guy. Thank you.
10 years ago, (I was 8) I was constantly told to play it. I never did as of fear. However, I watched my classmates from time to time playing the game at school. I remember all of the slenderman things haha. Big props to you mate, this gives me that nostalgia. Love the content, keep up the great work Fooster. Much love from Australia
As a tip, from memory Slender Man will only start to hunt once the first page is collected. I don't know how it has change since then though!
Edit:
I now see that this is nothing like the original we know and love, stay safe out there
To this day i have not managed to complete slender:The arrival and its great that its been remade. Looks amazing
A 90 minute treat from the Fooster on Friday 13th?
I don't deserve this 🥺🤗
OMG Slender man was also my very first horror game!!! I remember my ex-girlfriend was obsessed with everything horror and insisted I played this game. was absolutely horrifying!
An hour and thirty minutes of Fooster let’s go!
People walk by the grass like its nothing, but to see that level of detail in the 90s would have been insane.
STOP DROP AND FOOSTER
Amazing vid and such a great deal of nostalgia!
Funnily enough, the first memory of this game that comes to mind is the exact thing you mentioned right at the start: "Why is it already night, what do you mean?!?" 🤣
Awesome playthrough, so many missed gasp opportunities as slender was in some windows you missed. ;) Great work Fooster!
My friend and I jumped every 3 seconds! We love your videos! 💪🏽
