I grew up in the neighborhood surrounding the old GRCHS. I visited the school in the 12th grade, no locks on their lockers. They sing this song just as I would expect form good Calvinist. God blesses them.
I sang this song 20 years ago in high school. Wow the memories. The only thing we did differently was we did "jazz hands" and whispered "yeah!" on the last note. It was funny.
Smile! Seriously, though, this has always been a favorite song of mine since I sang it with my high school concert choir my senior year (1981-82). Is there any part of the song that you don't like in particular? Do you find the lyrics too repetitive? Not like the arrangement? Without knowing what it is that you don't like about the song, I'm not sure any suggestions I have would help.--Kevin
