    hi sir, I've seen your video active vs passive part1 & 2, i got it be + PP in passive sentence, but I don't understand my sentence "those who are NOT PARTICIPATING" why use "ing"?

"Attention to all students, kindly BE INFORMED that the english class and science class ARE NOT CANCELLED for this week. Those who are NOT PARTICIPATING in the activities at playround ARE REQUIRED to attend the classes as usual"
