    Correction : From your video sir, it appears that US congress and Electoral college is same body. But these are different entities with Electoral college only meeting once in 4 years to elect president.
    and Electoral college has 538 electors and thus majority mark is 538/2 +1 = 270.

    • @ZQH7

      Yes, a big correction is required here. Congress has nothing to do with the election of Pres and VP. People vote for Electoral college and then electoral college vote for the President. The candidate getting the majority of Electoral College vote is declared as a Winner.

    • @theoptimisticskeptic
      @theoptimisticskeptic Год назад

      Are you kidding? He didnt even touch how voting works here in the US. He just picked up at the Electoral College which really doesn't come into play into after the votes are made and counted. Exactly how the voting itself is done is up to (more or less) each state and often each district within each state. You can have a winner take all, ranked choice, it can be a real mess at times. But we get through it and despite what some in this country may try to say, we have a VERY low incidence of fraud but its still ranked pretty middle of the road when it comes to democracies around the world.

    Congress consists of 535 members But Electoral College consists of 538 members. (Washington D.C. = 3 seats which were not included in Congress. Washington being a capital of USA, not given right to participate in Congress but given Right to Participate in electoral college.) So, 538/2 =269.Therefore 270.

      Heres how it really works
      Corporations,other politicians find someone who fits their agenda backs their campaign,brings em to public but ya only get 2 or 3 choices,they tell them what to say because to get most votes they go off cellphone,wifi data.they crunch that data use the info to seduce the public to get elected.then they get vote in.but because how the voting system work ya only get a few new guys in the bunch,but they are already a predetermined outcome because they used all the data to get them elected.
      Then you get up in house and senate ya have to have 2/3 vote.so with a 2/3 vote barely anything thing gets passed.then ya get a elected president who doesnt win a majority of population vote in office.so their goes that voice of america.then they get all their baffoons in office and supreme court all back by someone with a ulterior motives.so then nothing gets done in senate at all bc its a 2/3 vote and they will not go against their own party.so all that voting was pretty much useless.ya can have the best president to ever step foot on the earth,but it really means jack shit when it all boils down to it because the senate is crap and theirs nothing ya can do about it but hope a meteorrite hits it while its in session.
      The elections are a educated guess based off data.its kinda like if your car burns oil ya keep putting oil in it to drive it,thats how they treat the public.they look for their patterns and continously try to humor them and that means by all means necessary..thats how the election process works.

    The US Congress and Electoral college are not the same thing. The electors are decided by states and are not elected.

  • @th5627
    @th5627 2 года назад

    Correction: Electoral college is different from US Congress.. electors are not the members of house of representatives or senate.. There are 538 electors in electoral college, while there are 535 members in US Congress.. each state gets the number of electors proportional to its Congress representation that makes 535 electors + 3 electors from capital Washington DC, that makes up 538 electors in total..

  • @Mrnaga4704
    @Mrnaga4704 Год назад

    If US congress is 6 & 2 years of senate and representative respectively. How can they elects the president. President is only for 4 years. In India, prime minister is elected after every 5 years of lok sabha election. For the reason the lok sabha is dissolved after five years to elect new PM Or leader of the majority party become PM. In the case of Indian President, the elected colleagues elects president. For that the candidate for president never go for election campaign to any other states. But in USA the presidential candidate go campaign all around the country. Why if he has already electors or elected colleagues to elect him as president in the Congress, no use of going around. He has to speak or address, debate only in the congress. He needs not take people votes or speak to people. He needs only elected colleagues sitting in the Congress.
