I've only experienced 'Sodalite Genuine' from a sample, but I think it's one of the highlights of the PrimaTek line. I enjoyed seeing the gorgeous mixes you got with it. Thank you!

Sorry but I do not know what these PY’s are. Where can I get info on what those color codes mean? I need a better understanding of what DM colors I gave. I apologize for my ignorance. I was just looking what the sodalite genuine color really is. What is it good for? Thx.

      Did you find answers, Nanette?
"P"is for "pigment" and "Y" for yellow.
Paints can have fancy names, but they consist of color pigments (and other stuff) and every pigment has a specific name that is universal. So, people know what they are talking about when they discuss different colors or paints. For instance "PY 150" is Nickel Azo Yellow and "PR254" is Pyrrole Red. Then there are paints that are said to be made from different natural minerals, like Daniel Smith Primatek colors, and they don't have a pigment number, only a name ("Sodalite Genuine").
So, pigment numbers and combinations ("PV19, PB29") are like a dog's kennel name, and the fancy names ("Imperial purple") are the names you can use in every day life when you don't have to be so exact.
I hope this helps a little.
