Hey what's up. I should have been more clear in the video, it should be the lesser of the two. You don't want the wire to melt and you don't want your device to overheat. Thanks for the comment!
Excellent review and advice! SO nice to see a video from someone articulate who care more about sound quality rather than the numerous videos of someone playing rap to show their rear view mirror vibrating. 👍🏻
Hey what's up!! Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it!! Tbh, I like both SQL and SPL but if I had to choose one over the other, SQL would always be first priority lol.
does your Gs350 have Mark Levinson ? my ‘15 Gs350 has ML and was debating adding this sub , as the stock sub has a muddy bass with certain notes. I also have a JBL MS8 from my last car I was debating putting in, do you think it would be a good addition ? Thanks !
@@j168vlogs I have an Acura RDX. I was thinking the pricing on the W7s is a bit steep so I either get one of those or two of the W6s. I'm not looking to rattle the whole neighborhood. Just something that can hit hard when the music calls for it but also have the clarity and accuracy a audiophile would be proud to have. I listen to a variety of music but mostly electronic.
@@MrSupernova111 ok got it. The 12w7 I have needs to be played loud for accuracy otherwise it is inaccurate at lower volumes. I would start off with one 12w6 2ohm and a 1500 watt amp wired in series for a 4 ohm amp load, that should be good. If you are dissatisfied with the volume, you can get another 12w6 2ohm and wire both subs in series/parallel for a 2 ohm amp load which at full volume will "disturb the peace". Sealed Box is most accurate, ported/bandpass will make it more boomy. Hey what's up! That is a good question. I cannot answer with 100% confidence but I think the 12w7 is going to be more accurate at high volume low frequency based on the Xmax of 1.15" compared to 10w6 Xmax of 0.75". Are you having trunk space limitations?
@@j168vlogs YES!😞My space is 30” wide. A bottom port maybe? I currently have a pair of 8s. Wanted to increase cone area. I can do a single 12, which is about the same cone area I have now. A pair of 10s would be an option, and why I asked.
@@milesbachelor8747 what kind of car are we talking about? Going from a pair of 8s to a 12w7 is a huge jump. The 12w7 is an interesting sub such that it has to be turned up to work properly. The only volume I can enjoy my music is LOUD with that sub and it could be too much for a small car. What do you think about a 10w7?
@@j168vlogs I have an Infiniti M45. Good size trunk but it narrows close to the back seat. A single 12W7 is totally in play considering the price I’d pay for a pair of 10W6s. The goal is reaching the lows, not necessarily loudness because I’m not a high volume listener.
@@milesbachelor8747 Duuude! Old school Jdm legend in the houz lol. My friend drove an M45 back in 2000, it was a real people magnet car. Let me know what you decide. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts.
Nice set up bro ! As far as the amp I think your not getting the potential that sub can provide with your amp. Its a really nice amp but you have the best sub JL has to offer . That Jl1000 is topically used for the W6 subs . I have 2 of those W7ae but I have a JL 1😅000/1v2 to each one and sound insane !

Hey what's up! the amp was more than enough. At 3ohm it was only using 750 watts but it was so loud it drowned out all the stock speakers. All I heard was Bass!! lol

fuse rateing to the devise...NOT the wire

because you politely responded and you got skeler music...upgrade to a pro cerwin vega 15 or 18 for SQL....BUT for skeler bass go sundown or skar

Hey bro, do you recommend a single 10" or 12" W7 for a mid size SUV? My other option is two 10" or 12" W6s.

Wondering how a pair of 10W6s would match up against this single 12W7. No doubt louder, but low end accuracy is my thing.
