Bruges=Chocolate with some, if not the best, chocolate in the world. Saturn doesn't arrive until noon; shuttle buses into center (20 minute ride); leaving only 2+ hours in this stunning city. Sigh. Clearly, Bruges is my sort of city! Museums! Churches! And above all else, chocolates!!!! I need to go there! 🤣🤣🤣👍. The time limit is impossible but I suppose that is the price to be paid to enjoy the advantages of cruising! Thank you for the video.

Nice vignettes capturing the city in a short time. Last time I was there was in the seventies. Exchange student in Liege and parents brought me to Bruges. We took a gorgeous boat ride. Belgian chocolates are wonderful. The Felix family would mail us Daskalides chocolates for Christmas. I would choose chocolate over most other desserts.
Even though I’m not a chocoholic, I merrily ate samples in every shop. 😂

Thanks, Leonard. I am on a Hurtigruten cruise right now filled with what you would say “is an emptied nursing home” but they are English. Even with walkers, cans, wheelchairs, they are vigorous. Climb stairs and even manage to board zodiacs. Lively, vital people. So don’t count us “oldies” out yet. Stats: 436 English; 16 Americans; 1 Australian
@@SheilaSimkin it's the bangers and mash that give the English that edge. For Christmas/new years I would love to go to a ski resort. I do apres ski well.

Looks like a fun time. As an aside, I'm heading to France in a few weeks for a river cruise. I'll be flying United, long haul out of SFO. I don't fly United to Europe often, especially from the West Coast. Almost 11 hours at the back of the plane!
