Where's Marner? He's watching Pasta get behind him and then half assing it when he notices he's be caught then gliding as the puck crosses the line. At the blue line I think I saw him mouth "WOW, Lindy that's a great pass"....but I could be wrong.

I agree that Marner is not made for the playoffs. I don’t watch him a lot cause I’m a Rangers fan.. but I see a lot of ppl blaming the goal on Marner. He’s a Winger. He’s not a Center. Why would he get to a puck deep in the zone before a defenseman or a center?! Once they’re in the zone, his job is to cover the point. Unless Pasta was his man coming through the neutral zone, but I’m pretty sure he just hopped on from a change.

Yep... Absolutely sickening loss, bud. Agree with pretty much everything said here, especially Woll. Sammy played great on short notice. A huge pressure packed game, he was a pro, he was ready, but there was a sense of comfort with Woll and an ever growing presence back there, and it's just so typical of us not to have a full arsenal when things are going well.

It's a team built around offense and they went 1/21 on the powerplay.
They could have put a raccoon in net and it wouldn't have made a difference.
Scoring 1 goal in an elimination game basically means the team requires a shutout from the goalie.
Does requiring a shutout sound like a winning game plan?

That was a game in which both coaches had their job on the line. Had the Leafs won maybe Keefe would've stayed for next year but honestly it's time for a change in Toronto.

Matthews gets a pass based on his goal scoring in the regular season but he’s never done anything more than marner has. With marner out of the line up this year Matthews was on a 40 goal pace. Watch what happens when marner leaves.

Marner rarely shows up in the playoffs...11 goals in 57 career playoff games..Had he stepped up Leafs win this series,no question.

As a Tampa Bay Lightning fan seeing I didn’t get to see any games this year because of work so much. I still enjoy dropping in here to check in on you, my brother. Because the maple leafs are another one of my teams they’re my favorite original six. Even though the Boston is our rivals, I still have a ton of respect for them as well they deserve it. @@RichardTavilla this reminds me of the Washington Capitals. Every year they enter the playoffs, they couldn't beat their arch rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins, even when they won the presidents trophy one year they still couldn't beat Pittsburgh. That is until 2018, the year they won. So it's possible. If Washington could beat Pittsburgh after multiple years of heartbreak, than could be said about Toronto and Boston.
Damn, I''ve been making round on Leaf's-tube taunting the fanbase, but I don't even feel good about this one. Here's to hoping for a good rebuild. They need a good core play-style. They have not had a coach in my lifetime that I've seen instill that in any line-up.
Haven't beaten Boston in the playoffs since 1959. Haven't won or even gotten back to the Cup since 1967. So many close times yet fell short in 93, 94, 99, and 02. Maybe it's just what the Leafs are. Something needs to change. I'd say deal Marner and/or Tavares. People bring up Reilly as well. Do what you can to strengthen your bottom 6 and get complementary players out of any deal with Marner and/or Tavares. Leafs can't keep arriving into the playoffs as a 3 seed or falling short with the core they have.
I expect them to sign Marner for $12mill and you will be doing the exact same video next year lmao

I feel for you! I have had a like dislike relationship with this core 4 and have to say they are my least favorite version of the Leafs.
I do have to tip my cap to 88 as he seems to step up in the playoffs, but I still am not team Willy after him sitting out for his contract negotiations way back when. Mitch, Oh Mitch! What do we say about Mitch? If I am owner of the Leafs I tell my GM " now way in hell are you giving him a contract extension period!" The thing is he has them by the cojones no? He has a NMC next season and do you think he is willing to wave it or be open to just getting out of town? I think the Leaf nation are also tired of him as well and he'll possibly get the Larry Murphy treatment this coming season.
