Thank you so much for this video. However, I lost a screw on the gravel lot just as you stated not to remove them all the way and lose them. I paused the video and watched it all first. Thank you again, sir. Very helpful.
THANK YOU, so much Andy! I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t get mine to spin and then realized I had loosened the very bottom grip on my tripod first; so there was nothing to spin with!
Thanks so much for demonstrating that, I bought an art 055 pro with a 141rc head which had a broken washer on the tilt pivot. This meant that unless the pivot was screwed up tight the tilting part of the head just came off! Thankfully I found a replacement 141rc but had no knowledge of how to remove the old one. Easy when you know eh? Thank you!
Thank you for your instruction just in time as I tried to turn pan head anticlockwise before to lose three nuts under it. Thank you so much for before ruining my Vanguard tracker 4 tripod.🙏👍 because my both arms enough power to turn it into wreckage.
They are called “set screws” or “grub screws”, same thing just different terminology. I’d suggest taking your tripod to a hardware store or a fittings store and ask to try a couple of different sizes in your tripod till you can find the correct size.
OK, now I know my problem, I only had one of those screws. The other two must have fallen out years ago and I didn't notice. So I've removed the one that wa there but the head still won't come off. I guess because those screws were not serving their purpose.

@@andyprairiedog glad it could be of help, and yes those screws are so tiny, hopefully you found it.

Glad you could get the job done 😀👍
Thank you so much, couldn't find this anywhere on youtube. Many thanks for showing this.
My pleasure 😀

You’re most welcome. 😀
Thank you for the DIY on changing the tripod head.

Thanks. Hit the nail on the head.

I cant believe it, I have the very same tripod and pan and tilt head, and have replaced it with the same ball head as you have there, lol
They are an excellent tripod and head. Extremely well built and durable.
Any idea what these screws are called? I have two missing and want to order some more so my tripod head doesn't get stuck again.

@@AndyTychon Thanks for the advice Andy, and this was a really useful video as well.
I unscrewed the bolts, but I can’t remove the head ... it doesn’t scroll. Me have giottos MH5011
Double check that you have all the screws out. There may also be some grit and dirt restricting rotation.
@@AndyTychon Thank you! Managed to open it. It just took more effort to open. It was screwed on very tightly. Thank you for the video, it's helpful!
very nice camera and stand and you are so cute🤗
Lol thanks my friend 🙏

---Just give it a good wack with a rubber or wooden mallet.
I have the same tripod it’s so old
Great tripods 👍
