      Oh man, I'm so glad you appreciated it. I think it's a super cool area, I love walking around there. It's popular for skating and BMX. It goes for miles, so people use it as a biking highway of sorts.

    I am corrently in the switch to more video oriented work and just saw an advert on instagram for this and i'm going to pick one up as a master-cam tripod for weddings. Stable and heavy-enough not to wable. thanks for the video this is just want I need for that specific role.

    The lower legs should telescope over the upper legs
    this is to prevent or mitigate dirt from getting into the
    slide mechanism and the 'outer' part of the telescoping
    legs can be easily wiped clean.

    Fantastic video! Picked one of these up to get my Sony A7IV off my flimsy old BestBuy tripod. Much more secure and really helping me get the filming flow of my new RUclips channel down.

    I noticed the little bit of play going left to right... something like 1/4" or 1/2" or so ... pretty frustrating. Not sure what the point is of being able to tighten it all the way down if it's not going to be fully locked in to place.

    I see you mentioned how inexpensive this tripod was numerous times.
    Somehow you completely forgot to mention the actual PRICE. What gives on that??

    • @markwiemels
      @markwiemels  11 месяцев назад

      These companies change the prices all the time. It will always be a budget tripod, but quoting a price just guarantees the video will be providing the wrong information at some point in the future.

    • @DLCOrganization
      @DLCOrganization 11 месяцев назад

      @@markwiemels -- There is that.
      However, since this video is directed at a very particular audience -- an audience who is already
      conscious that the _price RANGE_ would fluctuate depending on the merchant AND that the price range
      applied _AT THE TIME of recording the video_ -- you could have noted these details
      accordingly. It happens all the time, and we definitely understand.
      Otherwise, with that key factor left out, you'll just have people contending that the product
      is in fact, NOT inexpensive -- like it's coming from Bose or something.

  • @alvin5122
    @alvin5122 2 года назад

    Great review! I just wished you said price in the earlier parts of the vid since usually people who are looking to buy something (like me) always look for that and it's just cumbersome to check the price myself while I'm watching a review - especially when im on my phone or doing something else.

    • @markwiemels
      @markwiemels  2 года назад +2

      Yes, I totally understand that. I am actually intentionally not mentioning prices in the videos, because the manufacturers are changing the prices all the time. So I could say a price that is now way higher, or way lower, than the price when someone watches the video, which just ends up being misleading. Then the whole comment thread becomes people complaining about the price being wrong.

    • @alvin5122
      @alvin5122 2 года назад

      @@markwiemels Point taken! I think a disclaimer at the start pointing out that it is its current price *might* help with that -- but I can't be sure it's my first time in your channel.
      Now I may not be like everyone, but I personally understand how prices can be different from country to country all the way to hour to hour since I live in the Philippines.
      But anyway, I just think it's just a lot more helpful for viewers who just need a ballpark figure to compare prices quickly.
      I honestly I don't think it's misleading for you to report the current price.
      If the price changes, then it changes and that's not your fault. Some products increase in price because of good reviews like with Gerald Undone. The video could also be outdated and a number of other factors that's out of our control.
      But the bottom line is, if the price changes then its not your fault and it's unreasonable for people to get mad at you for it. However, does knowing that will that stop people from getting mad at you? No, but putting in the price is a lot more helpful to the people who genuinely need it.
