  • NASAAR has had a long history of drivers and teams caught cheating. In this video I am going to be showing and explain some of the times teams and drivers did not get penalized for cheating

    My mistake the Jimmie Johnson clip is the 2011 Talladega fall race. Not spring

    They didn’t build Darrell’s engine to blow at the end of the race. They had a special part on the car called the “clutch pedal” that when you hold the throttle and clutch down at the same time there’s a magic process that happens blowing the engine…

    Correction: It wasn't the 1983 Coca-Cola 600. It was the 1983 Miller High Life 500 where Richard Petty won, then was penalized

      @@mbgmadbull1141 the Charlotte race in 1983 was the 198th win for Petty. Bill France Jr basically decided not to penalize the King because he was two wins away from 200 and it would make a really good story and marketing.
      Petty’s 200th and last win would come at 1984 Firecracker 400 at Daytona

    Junior didnt make the motor to blow up,,, DW, was told to pop it , if he won. He did, and multiple people heard DW rev it as high as it would go and blew it up as he went by the finish line.

      The fact that people believe it was designed to blow instead of he was instructed to down shift and scatter it is extremely puzzling

      They did their best to work in the grey areas. Did Chad cheat sometimes sure. But 90% of the time it was a grey area that was in the middle. That’s why they didn’t get penalized as much

    Correction - Jimmie Johnson's in car camera footage was from the 2011 fall race, not the spring race which he won.

    That was chase Elliotts rear panel not a fender. Richard Petty was fined for the win and lost all money and point's.

    No one would be complaining about the "13th driver" if NASCAR just penalized Logano like they did to the MWR cars like they should have
    Hell, I don't know that we even have the elimination format if not for NASCAR not penalizing Logano...

    Austin Dillon got away with going below the yellow line TWICE on the last lap of the 2011 Talladega truck race. If NASCAR would've rightfully penalized him, he wouldn't be the 2011 champion.

    Denny would go on to jump the last restart of the 2024 Martinsville race, win, admit to jumping the restart, Nascar once again said "we haven't seen it" and then they went "if we had 40 to go, the penalties would be different"....that's the worst one

    Could have added Denny's 2020 fall Dega win. He went below the yellow line to "avoid a wreck" and stayed down there to advance his position.

    Another one that I would add was Jeff Gordon's 1998 New Hampshire race where he used a tire softening compound to win the race

    2:47 the floor pan was raised. Created negative pressure under the car similar to side skirts.

    the engine petty had was so miniscuely oversized that it would not have given him any advantage it wasent even half a cid the waltrip spoiler thing wasent really a cheat it broke during the race and it was only the outer half that broke something that would actually been a disadvantage to him as thats what keeps the car most stable in the turns

      Petty's engine was over 20 C.I. too big. 381 vs. a limit of 358. That's not "miniscule" by any stretch.

    I enjoy the idea of cheating to a point, but race manipulation is just lazy cheating in my opinion I love stories of Smokey Yunick

    The way Jimmie was reacting to Chad telling him to crack the rear tells me Chad probably had to do a lot of convincing over the years to get Jimmie to be okay running possibly illegal cars. That clip just seems to show jimmie hating constantly being in the greyline of the rulebook

      This is just scratching the surfaces. It widely believed they ran traction control which is why teams now have to have the ignition box on the dash out in the open.

    1 that wasn’t cheating it wasn’t planned.
    2 nascar would’ve done this for any playoff driver in that situation. Plus aren’t you forgetting that all they care about it entertainment? Over the radio chase and Alan already discussed what would happen if they got back to harvick. Nascar wanted it to happen becuase they knew it would be talked about forever.
    It wasn’t cheating and they didn’t do it becuase it was an Elliot
