I always go 1 base + stargate into void rays against proxy marauders, with 2 shield batters + zealots/adepts to last until the void rays gets built. Yes adepts dont do much dmg, but the marauders also dont do much dmg to them, and the objective is just to last until void ray comes out.
Nice last game from MaxPax, I love that he got a comp that could reliably crush any terran mid game push, those are always too arrogant for their own good.
theres a psychological game at play here. maxpax usually hold EZ against other grandmaster terran on ladder against this old cheese so he expanded anyway. Clem knows that maxpax knows this and went for the cheese. the difference maker here is that Clem isn't just any grandmaster, he's clem.

Ghost EMP is so OP vs. Protoss. We have a race that can't heal and is dependent on regenrative shields. Let's give an opponent the ability to aoe drain shields. You don't think that's enough? Let's give it an aoe radius upgrade! Late game Viking ghost lib is better than late game protoss.
@hubertt5449 The fact that the 2x area increase upgrade is no longer in the game and EMP is still so dominating tells you how crappy was the balance for such a long time. The fragility of everything in this game and how fast fights are still gets to me, it's no wonder there are more players in AoE2 than this, even though SC2 is more famous.
@@Leonhart_93 I understand and agree, I just pointed out incorrect information. When it goes to balance I would personally decrease the shield drain to 50 (energy drain stays the same 100) or maybe make protoss shield upragades to decrease dmg from EMP: +1 shields (reduces EMP dmg by 20) +2 shields ( reduce by 40) +3 shields ( reduce by 60) And see if these changes are impactful to the matchup
@@hubertt5449 Yup, an instant shield drain of 50 is still more than something like storm usually gets, because that's damage over time. And it also has the added benefit of energy drain on top of it.

It's nowhere near the biggest or most popular in America. It's #16 for fast food and #2 for chicken. Chicken filet is #3 fast food and #1 chicken. KFC had 35 store closings in the last years. Chick filet had 153 new stores. I haven't had KFC in 15 years or more.

@@PiGCasts Harstem did an interview with Maxpax after this series. His suggestion was to build a stargate because it puts a timer on the build.

Max pax played well, he knows his mid and late game is no match for Clem, so he tries to gain advantage in early game for every match
