My first waterfowl was a banded brant the bay is 5 mins away from my house so we can hunt it
Good video, great dog work. I don't know if your dogs were dropping the birds because I see a lot of that in videos. But I highly doubt it from what I seen !

I hope this isn't a dumb question. Here in Florida we see our pintails in full plumage. In Alaska do they keep their drake plumage through the winter like greenheads do. Just wondering. Hope this wasn't a dumb question.
The hunt was in September so they aren't far from the molt. That time of year everywhere you'll see drakes and hens looking very similar. Not until October and even early November will you start to see them with their normal look.

What do you do with the ducks? As there pretty amazing to eat.
Don't have to do anything special. Just seasoned and grilled. We had some in chili, burritos, and pizza. Even the hearts marinated in some worcestershire and vinagerette are incredible. Most birds up there are eating eel grass and that's what makes them so good. We'll show it in an upcoming episode.

How many pintail hens can you shoot in Alaska?
It's like Canada. The hunt took place in September when the majority of birds have little or no color so there is no drake/hen breakdown.
HOW DO YOU HAVE GOOD AIMING I am a female hunter and GOOD EYES and it took me like- 9 shots to get a beaver but 1st shot for a duck ( I could tell it’s practice )

Aim with the D babe. U have one and u'll never miss. Aim with the D B
Spend lots of time with your shotgun and go throw some clays to shoot at. It gets easy after lots of time shooting. Thankfully shotguns aren’t too terribly expensive to shoot! So you can spend lots of time practicing!

I shot a banded pintail in Arkansas banded in Alaska. No wonder the states have low limits on pintails. You can shoot 10 in Alaska.
