Great work James! Superb session up the London Road climb in Shere. It's a tough old climb that one. Cheers for the heads up on the knee issue. Maybe that's what I am suffering with. I will give the couch stretch a go. 👍 Another top notch week of training bud! You really pack it all in there. Hopefully we can get together soon. I have heard great things about the Topo shoes too.😎🤘
Thanks mate… that Shere climb is a good one! The couch stretch is great - really helps… give it a go. And yes, time is running out in Jan for me to hit my goal no. 4 !
I battled with Achilles issues for close to a year. I stumbled on a way to fix it that worked perfectly. I sit in a chair and put my barefoot on an angled block with a weight sitting on my knee. I push up and then slowly let my heel come back down. Within a week of doing this daily my Achilles issues went away. I still do the exercise a few times a week because I’m always afraid the issues will come back.
Many thanks for the advice … my little Achilles issue went away pretty fast.. for me it happens very rarely and it’s due to too many hills etc too soon. All good now
Nice Inov-8 top James, I've the orange one 👍 Always nice exploring new routes, good to hear the knee is on the mend with the stretches. New Lone Peak 8's have minimal change, a very slight change to the upper & reduced overlays, apart from that they're a Lone Peak 7 (different colour of course). Good to see the running is going well 👋
Ah very near me at Elm Farm 1:44 in! About the top of my nearest hill rep up Red Lane. Not sure what is being built on the other side of the road you briefly show.
I also have the Line Peak 7. Great shoes, Ive used Altra since they first came and they really suit my running style. I did try the Timp when they came out but found them clumpy and they didn’t have much grip. Maybe they have changed a bit since. Have you tried the Escalante for road? I really like mine. But the latest version seems to get not so great reviews in comparison to the older ones.
Love the escalante - still using the 1 and 1.5 … think it’s very different from the new versions .. such a nice feel except it’s now totally worn .. the timp 5 has a vibram grip , I do like the timp but does nt fit and feel as comfortable as the Lp. Just ordered fhe Lp8
Ice offers no real therapeutic improvements in tissue healing , inflammation is desire with an injury and should not be interfered with. Most of my patients with Achilles issues have one or more of the following 1- poor hip internal rotation 2 weakened hip ab and addiction 3-decreased ankle dorsiflexion 4-weak tib ants Have a look at these factors and compare injured side to non Good luck
Thanks , I will … I have it before , it goes quickly and comes on after too increase in running hills & sprints … will go through your check list though - thx

Kelly's mobility routines are indeed next level, his morning hip spin up is golden 👌👌 Also, that Innov8 hoodie looks great!
Exactly .. he knows his stuff ! Thanks for stopping by and the nice comment !
Nice week, James. My 14yr old son wants to start doing strength so he's subbed you and now he's watching every fitness video you have. 🙈😂💪
Good lad !! Thanks Neil …

Cheers Martin, just got my Lp8’s, a few grams lighter and as you said slight change in upper but pretty much the same - feel nice and new!

Ah so that’s where you are .. yes, I have no idea either what they are building up there - literally just drove past it.
