Nice to see Luna Lovegood is doing well, especially after all that drama at her school!
Jeez I had to google it. Not much into HP..
She musta finally found some Nargles.
They're so soft spoken, their voices are really soothing. It's like watching an ASMR video. Tingles. These people are brilliant.
Hilarious the interviewer was starting to catch their smooth calm 😆
Yeah, was just about to say this. Very ASMR lol
The more excited Hester gets, the more quiet she becomes until she's almost inaudible :)
Some people say they're difficult to interview because they're quiet but it's down to the interviewer to get them talking and this is one of those interviews with a good interviewer who manages to have an interesting conversation with them. Their quietness draws you to them and when you get used to how they talk you realise how intelligent, charming and funny they are.
That’s why “we” can relate to them
these are the best RUclips comments lol
"I know it all, and here it all is!"
Thank god for quiet, intelligent women. It could have been a Liam Gallagher ego fest instead.
The blonde didn't sing much it was Hester singing more
@@veggie42 Hester has blonde hair. Rhiann dark hair.
Their voices and this video were oddly like ASMR. Obsessed with their music.
Shame! Totally agree!
same! very calm nice People!!!
Mee too, this is the best stage of discovering a new band.
resting their voices, perhaps?
elastica meets pipettes
I love how they rock so damn hard while they speak like church mice. Their music is their collective id--loud, horny and fun. Such unlikely, refreshing rock stars.
My vinyl of their debut just showed up. Instant indie classic.
yeah this is awesome, I just watched a concert video...so many people...it's like humanity is reset post covid
I’ve noticed a seeming majority of the current crop of young rock artists are much more grounded, humble and professional than the brilliant but self destructive and egotistical artists I grew up listening to.
The Warning, a hard rock band from Mexico, are pretty much role models
They couldn't 'rock' less. Garbage music
yes chaise Longue for Labour (pack of warm bear to consume!)
@@demonhoopa Beebadoobee, Olivia Rodrigo,Billie Eillish etc very aware rock/pop/indie
Just discovered them. Wow. Rock isn’t dead.
As an unrelated issue, I love these ladies’ volume. It’s like ASMR lol
The blondes voice is sooo soft
@@manager4409 apparently Dave Grohl is a fan, or so I heard
The cynicism about the state of modern music is completely unrealistic. There's Skating Polly, the Chats, Starcrawler, the Beths, plenty more...
I just LOVE that these two communicate exclusively through whispering- honestly I'm British and I can't even comprehend this version of Britishness and I am such a fan!
I love Hester, she just seems so sweet.
This is the breathiest and most whispery interview I’ve ever heard in my life
They are uneasy with their fame. I hope they never lose that because it just adds to their charm.
Well they just wone 2 Grammies and 2 Brit awards so they need to get used to it I think
I'm 52. A lifelong musician raised on heavy metal. I say this NOT in a creepy, predator way. But as a music lover. I truly love you guy's. I wish you many, many, years of success. Your band is truly amazing. Different. And like the good lady interviewer said, "a breath of fresh air on the airwaves." ❤❤❤❤❤❤☺👍
@zanzi coco Duly noted👍
That's what a predator would say ....
Lifelong metalhead here. Recently found them. Stunned. Awesomely different.
@@fumes1541 Right? They're badd ass! Very down to Earth and authentic. God bless you my friend and colleague.💜☺👍
Im 52 - life long music lover and valve hifi enthusiast. They came on RUclips on autoplay about 18 months 2 years ago and I was - WOW - this is different. About a month later they released Wet Dream and I sent it to all my friends and said "this is the future of music, this is the newest thing for 20 years" and they all hated it LOL
They just won 2 Grammies and 2 Brit awards
they are literally the talk of the island at the moment lmao we love them
Wow the talk of the island. Holy shit!
Craggy Island vibes.
@@marywinnifred9242 lmao
@@marywinnifred9242 i heard you're a rockstar now father !
IOW!
Finally a great interviewer that gets these two fun loving geniuses. What a cool band 😎
Nardwuar did a good one too!
The most exciting band for a long time and couldn't have been better timed for these unhappy stressful times
Such an incredible new band. I rarely find new artists I like but the second I heard wet leg I knew there was something special. The album is terrific, being in love and ur mum are probably my favourites but love the rest too. Great interview. Cannot wait to see how the rest of their musical endeavour pans out.
2:47 They naturally harmonize with a Major 3rd. They're meant to write music together. 😅
EDIT: Again at 8:15!
holy fuvkin shite
amazing ear training right there mate
I first heard "Chaise Longue" driving home from work near Kings Cross in Sydney. Couldn't believe how much I enjoyed the song. It broke the mould...
I love them. They clearly don't take themselves serious at all . Really cool songs . Breath of fresh air compared most pop music these days
I love these girls so much
Love this band!
Can't wait for the stadiums! Great job girls! Very happy for you both (all). ✌😎🎸
Love this interview, found Wet Leg a while back by accident. Love them delighted there album is doing so well, just need to see them live now. They come across as really nice people who are loving what they do. WET LEG 💖
Big love to you both xx
I absolutely love this group!
The new album is amazing I love the music and the band
Beautiful band. Refreshing.
Bloody Hell! The sweetest people.
Please don't change....❤
I’m so hooked on Wet Leg’s music-I’m dying to see them live. They are so lovely in this interview too. This band better stick around-amazing stuff ahead! 🤘🏽🍻
Well done all so fresh and genuine I hope what they have done will inspire the next wave of talent 🤘❤️🏴
Such delightful women 😃 superb music and awesome album 👍
Can confirm they are excellent live. Would strongly recommend going to see them where possible!
Their set as glasto was great
I want to live in the wilderness with these ladies. They're so peaceful.😍😊
They are adorable!
Really enjoying the new album and watching them perform. They seem to be having a great time, and I hope that they can incorporate more of their experiences and personality into their new music. Plus, I really like Rhian's wacky sense of humor.
It's like Elastica,Pipettes meets several others like Hole and modern stuff. Female Blur
These young ladies are perfectly charming and their music rocks....
So hard.
Their music brings me a smile every time I hear it, and now they've introduced me to absolute radio
So cheers
I never listen to any other radio station! Simply the best!
Listening to them is gleefully mesmerizing, and it reminds me of the two girls on the SNL NPR's Delicious Dish skit.
WET LEG fantastic as always
I get joy from listening love
Wonderful.
I luckily got introduced to Wet Leg via Video before LP release. Have enjoyed following the success . I might be a different type fan I'm a 56 yr old white Southern American small town guy. Their music takes me back to my bands that played 'College music' but with a twist. Thanks for the music much happiness to you.
I’m an old cranky American too, and I have no idea why I’m listening to Wet Leg. But they’re a ton of fun, and pretty different from everything out there.
Constantly just staring at each other in a endearing way , like someone said it’s very asmr vibes love the music love there energy
what beautiful souls
They're just adorable. Such a sense of lightness and fun as they talk. Can't stop listening to their music. I love she said they didn't have a motive -- so not pretentious
You can tell they are shocked at their success. Good job ladies. Looking forward to more.
Keep writing songs like that!
Couple of sweethearts
Looking forward to seeing them In Ireland 2023 👏👏
I am excited about this band.☕️😎 Their tour sold out so fast and I am not suprised. I definately would like them to assign someone to worry my mother. 😁
I'm into hard core, punk, metal but I absolutely love Wet Leg..... and the ladies are godly.
Anyone else here for the ASMR benefits of their voices? 😯🙋🏻
no lol
They just look like they're having so much fun.
I think they are great
Quietest voices ever
Hester is such a sweetheart ❤
I love their whispered voice
Hester is so cute. most people dont listen to music like this unfortunately or fortunately depending your point of view.. but its awesome to see a female fronted alt rock / power pop band getting really popular. ive been a fan of this kind of music for almost 40 years and it hasnt been since the 90s that this music was popular. its been around ever since the 90s but it wasnt popular. you just hope that popularity and companies dont ruin the music for the next album.
When i first heard chaise lounge on the radio i thought it was a joke. They go against ever muaical instinct i have but the album is mega! I like they are quiet in interviews. They come across very genuine.
I come from a small town too. Yay for small peaceful places!
Expecting big things from these extremely talented artists
No one will remember them by next year.
@@greg0uk, they said that about Nirvana. We all know how that worked out. Maybe not you though.
@@dmercury292 you’re comparing these with Nirvana 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@greg0uk Who knows
They are extremely average guitar players if you want the real truth 🤘🤘
Met them last week at a signing. Hester is a lot chattier in person. They are amazing live, and the whole band, not just the 2 gals are great to watch and all have great chemistry. Glad I've got to see them in tiny venues before they blow up. They have a chemistry with the crowd that maybe won't work in bigger venues
They are both so shy & cute, and fantastic musicians!
Aren't these ladies so gorgeous, so modest and humble. They are a breathe of fresh air to music. So good to listen to their music.
They remind me of the Chats...good fun music.
Great to hear this interview. Actually quite transfixed by Andy Bush's comings and goings in the glass room behind :)
Finally! I've been trying to reach Wet Leg customer support. It's been days and I still haven't had anyone assigned to worry my mother!
They’re the sweetest lmao I love it
Love these womans, just heard thier sound, they're very good. It's wild how their sound is pretty punk yet their speaking voices sound like they're both recording an asmr podcast in a library - in a good way. Super cute.
omfg, they are adorable
Best thing to come out of my morris dancing obligations is this band. Makes me happy
Chaise Lounge is an absolute perfection of a song, concept, video, live performance, etc.❤️ it is completely addictive once you’ve heard the first time. I’ve watched Wet Legs performance of it perhaps more than 💯 of times✨
The beat band of 2022
And now they are opening for Harry Styles in Australia
I must say women are the most exciting thing in music in the past 5 years for me ... first Lorde ("Melodrama" period) ignited my love of music again...then Aldous Harding left me speechless and mesmerised...and now these 2 make this old fart dance like a tit from my earlier glory party days of back-to-back plays of "Rock Lobster". Wet Leg - Christ, the world needs you now, girls!
Congratulations on discovering women musicians. Please send an SAE for your “I am a feminist” badge.
@@TheKateHorgan yes I got the B52s as well as Pipettes, the waitresses and others like Elastica
Hester reminds of a high dormouse from Alice in Wonderland
Reminds me of Alice on Vicar of Dibley lol
They remind me of early 90's bands like Ween and The Breeders. They sound so sweet and fun and have that fantastic Brit charm.
Listening to the Wet Leg album the thing I take away is that Rhian has the creamiest voice...Its like drinking baileys.
They really are very talented, intelligent and make awesome music. It's incredibly rare i like new bands (I'm an oldie now, grew up with Guns N' Roses, NIN, Stone Roses, Oasis, RATM etc).
The way they look at each other and glow,,,
Yeah they're in love!
Hesters with Joshua by all accounts :-)
The subtitles say "rain and hester wet leg welcome" - well I suppose you do it rains 😊😊❤❤
Excuse me.......What. can somebody assign someone to worry my mother. Lol. I love Wet Leg. Can't get that Chaise Longue out of my head. Other lines in it are pretty crass when one looks therm up.....a scream. Keep it up guys. Great album too.
Become obsessed with these since the brits
Wet Leg = joie de vivre
🖤
Falafel? At the Spyglass Inn in Ventnor? I didnt know that was on the menu ....
The best ASMR interview ever.
They are so soft-spoken. Not at all like their music. Very interesting!
These are like 'The Others' from the island on Lost
Do children on the Isle of Wight learn to speak by watching Wes Anderson films?
Great band, and they seem lovely.
Yes, of course
nope
They're so fucking adorable
Is Valium popular in the UK ?
So cute
Aww have family on the Island and 1/2 grow up in Dorset. A Band to look out for just order Wet Leg CD.
They seem nice.
❤
Sounds like last night’s party was wild!
Their voices trigger ASMR for me 😊
I want me some!
Why isn't the date this video was posted visible anywhere?
april the 11th
😂😂😂The interviewer said I used to sit on the beach and play the guitar badly.
The singer should've replied
.... I do that on stage 🤣🤣🤣lol
It's great to watch very upper-class girls putting on a cool girl act.
They come from the Isle of White - I dont thnk there IS "upper class" on the isle of white.
@@piccalillipit9211 Here is some unasked for information that no one needs to know: The Isle of Wight. The name "Wiht" was first recorded during the Anglo-Saxon period (between 410 and 1066 AD)
