Wonderful review. I wish I was a teenager so I could wear that adorable brown velvet with lace trim shorty. That was my vibe. So romantic to me, no matter what grownups would think. lol
You could also pop a petticoat underneath for extra flair! A knee-length one in black or red, not too full, would be super cute. I like Cider as well - you just have to curate the pieces for your personal tastes and the overall style is on the younger side but I think they do have options for everyone. Oh, and i think you looked GREAT in that last dress but I totally espouse wearing what feels good to you personally.
The black jumpsuit looked amazing on you and the last dress you paired with blazer I thought was awesome together on you . I look forward to your videos . The confidence you have makes me want to be a bit more daring with myself ❤ thankyou.
I agree with you, the toile dress is beautiful. I also love the jumpsuit and I adore polka dots. The highlight of course was you twirling in the toile with a huge Meredith smile, waiting for a proposal. Love ya!!!
"It's okay, I'm not scared.....mostly." 😂😂 that would be my reaction too on the orange dress, I got too big of ta ta's for that cut. Love you love your videos. Stay quirky and stay you!!!❤
I was thinking it would look really nice with her black leather pants and a black mesh mock neck top under it. Sometimes if something shows too much it just needs to be paired with other items!
Love the polka dot skirt and black v neck so much on you! Thank you so much for the honest review I’m in Australia and keep seeing this brand all over my feed and was really tossing up trying them. This helped a lot.
There are tons of wild options- but some really great ones, too! I did both options of the return to see how it would go (this was two orders) I got my full refund much slower, but got it! The 50% refund was really quick.
Absolutely loved the jumpsuit on you! So cute! The black dress was very cute too. I’m 5’2”, so I might not have a length issue for myself. I can see why you love the toile dress! I bought a similar style a few days ago in a pretty lavender. I’m much smaller busted, so I didn’t feel that it was a good look for me, but you are able to balance it nicely, and the pattern is very feminine. I love how you find something positive to say about every piece of clothing you critique. It may not suit your taste or body type, but you always find a positive comment about each garment. I’m not a true pear, I’m more of an hourglass with more sand in the bottom. 😂😂😂 So I may be interested in pieces that don’t really appeal to you. You honestly do try to review items for all of us, not just for yourself. Thank you so much for having such a fun, positive vibe in every video! Have a great week!
The clash of the undertones on the polka dot skirt and striped crop top gave me a chuckle, it can be so hard to tell which version of white things are supposed to be online! For the final dress, appearing to be nude under the mesh is rather the point of that style, I would think 😂 For what it's worth while I understand it doesn't suit your personal style and therefore wasn't comfortable (and I don't gravitate towards that style myself either, so I really get it), it did actually look really nice on you imo. Had I seen you (rather, a version of you that was actually comfortable in it) "out in the wild", I wouldn't have thought twice beyond "Oh, she's all dressed up for something, looks nice!" I salute its valiant effort in testing the return options. o7
Thank you, I love fruit dresses!! My sister in law sent me a cute one on text from SugarLips that had peaches- my daughter said that I couldn’t get it because peaches have bad symbolism- I’m still considering it!!
I don’t know who and when someone must’ve told you that you’re old, but you’re not. Like I can understand having to dress for your job, but your personality can come into play outside of the office. That last dress that you threw a blazer on over looked amazing on you. The flower cardigan is adorable. The cropped pants looked cool, too.
Thank you, Barb- I made small returns both ways (this was 2 different orders) and I got my money back already on the ones I sent in, it took about 10 days total to get a refund. They had so many options!
I like the tweedy trousers the best, but I’m a very casual dresser. I also like the cherry dress. I’ve never shopped with Cider or any of the Chinese brands and I’m pleased to hear that they have a sustainability programme.
Jumpsuit is definitely a keeper. It is gorgeous on you. I prefer the black top with the polka dot skirt. It is a fun outfit. As always, I enjoy your videos! You make style fun 🫶👗👖👚
I’m surprised at how many times I like the dress that you don’t seem to like. I think you look very nice in many of the dresses and the jumpsuit looked so cute! I really liked the last dress very much but if there’s no give then I probably wouldn’t feel comfortable. There must be a bit of stretch.
If the cherry dress is lined, you could sew a band of black lace to the lining to come out from underneath. That would be pretty and allow you to dress it up or down.
The black cherry dress looks lovely! Even when most of the clothes are obviously designed for teens and young adults, you show that there are nice finds for us slightly older women, too. The prices, however, are almost suspiciously cheap, nearing Temu prices. (Temu prices are higher in Europe because they have to ship them from inside Europe and there are added taxes.)
First time viewer. LOVE your dog, she's so sweet. So funny how she seems to think you are talking to her. On the clothing, my favorite (by far) on you was the polka dot skirt and black top. Fun and flattering!
Thank you, and welcome! Lulu is my dog, she is my little shadow and is a sweet mess! I get home from work and ask if she wants to film- she comes and stands next to me like we are doing the same thing! I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment!
I'd never heard of Cider, but now I'm excited to check it out! (I'm also really excited for your new Regency book club dress. 🌟) Thank you for the company info and clothes review - now I can just jump straight into the shopping part!😄
I found you again! I lost you when you went on vacation for Christmas!! Yay. Subscribed and that jumpsuit is EVERYTHING! Love seeing a fellow Houstonian looking good 😊
Thank you so much for trying Cider! I've looked at their site but was unsure about the actual quality and fit. It really seemed geared to a much younger demographic too. You showed some really nice options for our older but fun age group lol. I loved all your choices. The velvet dress was adorable, but probably only for a 20-year-old stick. But definitely for the bedroom. I especially like the toile, black jumpsuit and the cherry dress which fits you perfectly. I automatically wondered how I could make it a little longer and others gave some really good ideas! Too cute to pass up!! Thanks so much for stepping out of your comfort zone for us. Most tubers seem to try only things they know they will like. As always, you and your videos rock! Love Lulu too!!
You could sew a wide border on the bottom hem of the cherry dress to add some length. The brown dress is made just like a gown I had in the mid ‘70s. Not a bad looking grouping.
I agree 100% on your choices of what you did not care for. I actually liked the green dress without the sash, maybe try a small belt if you want the definition. The polka dot skirt with the black v-neck out looked more flattering. The black pantsuit could be a purchase in every color, it was a great look on you.
Jumpsuit looks great! I also loved the tweed pants on you. Though the Kelly green color does look good on you, the dress is just fine… not special. The little black dress with cherries is adorable but, a tad short. Maybe a slip with a cute black trim that peeks out from underneath for a little more length? Kind of a modern day petticoat… Thanks for the fashion show. I appreciate your research for us.
Gretta, thank you for the cherry dress suggestion- I love the way it fits, but the length will keep me from wearing it out, I’m afraid! I’ll try it with my short white petticoat to see how it looks, then maybe buy one in black or red!
I hope you kept that black shirt!! It went with the polka dot skirt, and those twill looking wide leg pants so well, and it was so flattering!! You looked stunning in so many things that I don't have time to list them all!! Just know that you are beautiful inside and out, and to always wear what makes YOU happy!!
I love your honest reviews. I've bought one thing that I kept and one that I passed on via donation to charity. It's hit-or-miss for my taste. I do like the "shop by mood" though. Oh, and I love that black jumpsuit.
I really liked the first (and last) dress you tried on. The jumpsuit was a winner too. I also like the polka dot skirt with the black blouse. The flower sweater and the trousers were a hit too. Pretty good, I thought overall. Keep the winners coming!
Hi Meredith! I watch every video! We have a lot in common. I'll be 40 this year and I live south of Houston. We wear similar sizes as well. I love the clothes you review and this haul had several pieces I would love. You seem very youthful and I think you could wear a lot of the items you describe as for a younger person. So if you like them otherwise don't let age stand in the way.
Thank you for being so inclusive with style, size and price! Its especially hard to find influencers my height and shape (apple and 5'9) so I hesitate to buy online. I don't know if anyone mentioned but Old Navy does tall sizes, but only online. I'd love to see you try more jumpsuits because they are hard to find long enough. 😍
Loved all the outfits you liked to keep. But I thought black dress was too short. I couldn't wear it. I love you showing what you keep. Keep going love them
That toile dress is so pretty it gave me the vapours! IYKYK! Lol. It looked great on you! I purchased some tops in a 1X and found them to be quite short. I’m more pear shaped but if my bust was larger or if I was more of an apple it might not cover everything. They weren’t listed as crop but they were a longer crop length. I think it’s probably to appeal to someone younger. I love the black tweed pants, professional and cute! They are definitely geared for younger people but even though I am 52 I feel 27! I realize not all the styles are appropriate for me but a lot are fairly ageless. It is about time plus sized clothes are designed for people other than great grandmas!
The vapours, indeed!!! I agree on the crop top front! I found some nice thugs here, but there are so many crops! I am happy to have shops that offer more style for plus, though!
I just found your channel. I think you are positively FABULOUS & have such a wonderful outlook. Thank you for sharing your finds! I also love the literature references you include in the styling (Jane Austen...*sigh*).
Thanks for the video, it’s the first I’ve heard of Cider & I see they deliver to 🇨🇦 so I’ll be checking out the website. My favourites on you: 🥇 green dress (colour is lovely on you) 🥈 black v-neck t-shirt 🥉 black jumpsuit (hon. mention goes to black cherries dress). The 2 slip dresses are bringing back memories of Winona Ryder & the 90s, which is fun but didn’t suit me then, or now 😁.
So many wins! That black jumpsuit is dynamite! Just a perfect style and fit and so flattering on! Second favorite were the tweed, wide leg, cropped pants and that miracle black double V tee top. That is such a flattering top - if they have other colors, you might consider it! It looked great with pants and skirts, tucked and untucked. I also loved the polka dot skirt and that adorable sweater with the chenille flowers. Surprisingly, I liked the green dress best when tied in front - I'm a "tie to the side" kind of girl, too, usually. And it's such a gorgeous color! That moved it into the "wins" for me! For me, the no-gos were the striped crop top, of course the jeans, and the velvet dress unless you think you'd wear it as a nightie. I actually liked the lace dress with a blazer or fitted jacket - perhaps a velvet one? But you were uncomfortable, so into the no-go pile it goes! The black dress with cherries is adorable and cute on you, but really too short. You could add a few inches to it by buying 4"-6" wide, flat eyelet trim in black and sewing it onto the hem. (Not the kind that's gathered onto a narrow hem already - you're looking to extend the length, not add a layered ruffle). I think it would look like it was meant to be there and would give you a couple or few more inches. Something like this: a.co/d/2gvck5K If you decided you actually wanted to add a ruffle, you could add the gathered kind like this, instead: a.co/d/cT3zXfx I love the toile dress, but maybe with a different bra or the next size? The ladies look smooshed with insufficient support. The area above the waist is meant to fit a bit looser, with some vertical gathering across the bust, not pulled smooth. Alas, this is another case of inconsistent sizing since the rest of the dress fits fine. Because of its cut, it would still look fine in the next size and I don't think the shoulders would be a problem with the elastic to help them stay up. But a different bra may solve the problem. It doesn't look bad, just doesn't look as good as you deserve! ❤ Love you and your Texas sized smile and funny personality! Edit: that was supposed to be sunny, but iPhone chose funny for you instead! 😂 It's not wrong...
Because of this I tried Cider! (I also told them it was you who recommended so maybe they might sponsor you someday??!) I already got my items-a halter tankini with SHORTS (like boxer briefs) 😍 and also the black dress with cherries (it’s called LESLIE so I couldn’t resist!) the dress was a bit too-too short for me (I’m 43 but also never would’ve been comfortable wearing something that short!) and the bust didn’t offer enough coverage (vertically) for me. So I put in a return and they gave me a FULL refund for store credit and to keep the dress! I’m going to cut some off the bottom and turn it into a shirt and add it to the bust for the coverage there! Plus I ordered a Jean skirt today with my store credit and FREE SHIPPING?!?! So excited for that to come!! Thanks for making these videos. 💜
Leslie, I’m just seeing this! Thank you for telling them that I sent you- fingers crossed!! I love the idea of turning the dress into a shirt- brilliant! Full price credit and keeping the item is amazing! I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment- I’m sorry that it took me a month to respond!
I know I'm late to the conversation, but that orange dress could work with leggings boots and a long line blazer. Great look for fall. If you experience fall where you live. Great review. Never heard of this store.
I don’t know WHY you don’t have 1000s more subscribers. You give honest, non judgmental reviews. I’ve never seen someone address all the little niggly things that any woman who is not slim has to consider when buying clothes. I have the opposite problem to you being 5’ tall and SO many clothes look like I’m using adult dressing up clothes! There is a huge market for 5’2” and under voluptuous women. I have to hunt for them. I used to be an M&S children’s size 13 or 15, but that was 30 yrs ago. I live in NZ now. I make a lot of my clothes. Or alter shop bought. Love your channel, and your glorious accent!😊😊😊
Love the jumpsuit and the spot skirt.... im amazed at the difference between that striped vest (which I didn;t think suited you - sorry) and the black tshirt, the black made you loose 30 pounds instantly. Like both looks tucked in and out... loved the toile dress also... thanks for sharing
Wonderful review. I wish I was a teenager so I could wear that adorable brown velvet with lace trim shorty. That was my vibe. So romantic to me, no matter what grownups would think. lol
As always you bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart! Never lose your zest for life!
Thank you, Karen!!
Jumpsuit looks great on you
Thank you- that was one of the more practical pieces! I’ve worn it since filming and it is really comfortable!
Yes
Your dog wants to go out
You could buy trim or a ruffle at Joann’s to add to the hem of the cherry dress. Or a strip of fabric with trim
That is actually a great idea- I love the way it fits, but the length will keep me from wearing it out!
@@BigonStyle My two thoughts were that or wearing leggings under it because it hits where I like to do that! 😂
@@BigonStyle I’m a little in the loud side, so I would probably add a red ruffle to pick out the cherry pattern. 😁
@@BigonStyle Yes. I often add a 3-4 inch lace trim to shorter dresses.
I simply can’t wait till your videos come out. They make me smile every time. Have a wonderful day.
That just made my day, Nelda ❤️
Jumpsuit for the win!
I have worn that one since and it was so comfortable- and the arms were pretty easy to control
@@BigonStyle I know!! And it is so adorable on you!!
The black jumpsuit looked amazing on you and the last dress you paired with blazer I thought was awesome together on you . I look forward to your videos . The confidence you have makes me want to be a bit more daring with myself ❤ thankyou.
I agree, the dress is gorgeous especially with the blazer, it could be used as a outing dress and business casual
I agree with you, the toile dress is beautiful. I also love the jumpsuit and I adore polka dots. The highlight of course was you twirling in the toile with a huge Meredith smile, waiting for a proposal. Love ya!!!
I’m so impressed with how these clothes fit you Meredith! Even the little striped vest might go well with the tweed pants… love this haul!!!
first dress stunning on you. you are giving us southern Belle vibes in this one, only thing you're missing is your fan and big glass of sweet tea
The green dress looks very good on you.
Thank you!!
"It's okay, I'm not scared.....mostly." 😂😂 that would be my reaction too on the orange dress, I got too big of ta ta's for that cut. Love you love your videos. Stay quirky and stay you!!!❤
Haha! Too funny, Deann! I was a little scared!!
I was thinking it would look really nice with her black leather pants and a black mesh mock neck top under it. Sometimes if something shows too much it just needs to be paired with other items!
There’s a reason some of my friends learned to sew and its name is Lane Bryant!😂
Hahaha- it was the only game in town for a super long time!!
@@BigonStyle My friends and I used to cross the mall to avoid it. Occasionally make the sign of the cross. Avaunt ye!
Loved all your choices. Great picks. Loved the video as always 😊
Thanks so much 😊
Agree on everything you kept this time. Really liked that sweater
Thank you! My daughter has stolen the sweater! She has worn it to school everyday for the past two weeks 🤣
Had I seen you (rather, a version of you that was actually comfortable in it) "out in the wild", I wouldn't have thought twice beyond "Oh, she's all dressed up for something, looks nice!" I salute its valiant effort in testing the return options. o7
I love that short, square necked, black dress with the cherries on you! It is very flattering!!
That black jumpsuit looks amazing on you!
oh my gosh yeeeesssssss
You look so cute in dresses with fruit on them. The cherry dress this time, the lemon dress a video ago, so cute!
Thank you, I love fruit dresses!! My sister in law sent me a cute one on text from SugarLips that had peaches- my daughter said that I couldn’t get it because peaches have bad symbolism- I’m still considering it!!
The only thing I didn't like about the bra video is that I don't know where her lemon dress came from and I loved it!
Loved the jumpsuit and poka dot skirt. Thank you for showing Cider
Thank you!
You look wonderful in everything, you have a great sense of style.
Thank you so much!
Really lived this. Had not heard of this company, and saw some things in your video that I can use, at a price point I van afford. Thanks so much!
My favorite was the jumpsuit. I also liked the polka dot skirt with the v neck top. I am going to check them out I haven't heard of them before.
Thank you, Barb- I made small returns both ways (this was 2 different orders) and I got my money back already on the ones I sent in, it took about 10 days total to get a refund.
They had so many options!
Love your dog watching you.
Thank you, Lulu is my little shadow!
It's so clear Lulu adores her mommy!
I like the tweedy trousers the best, but I’m a very casual dresser. I also like the cherry dress. I’ve never shopped with Cider or any of the Chinese brands and I’m pleased to hear that they have a sustainability programme.
And polka dot skirt!❤
Love the first dress on you and the cardigan. I agree too many short shirts I tend to buy men's t-shirts because of this
Jumpsuit is definitely a keeper. It is gorgeous on you. I prefer the black top with the polka dot skirt. It is a fun outfit. As always, I enjoy your videos! You make style fun 🫶👗👖👚
Thank you so much, Kathy!
The jumpsuit looks really versatile. Add a sparkly belt & sparkly shoes and that's great for a night out.
Alison- I like that, thank you for the styling tip! I have worn it once and it is remarkably comfortable!
The split flora dress is so darling on you, definitely perfect for a fancy christmas party

Most of those were really nice. I agree with your choices!
Thank you, Judy!
You are so so fun! I can't get enough of your joyful take on life. Thank you❤

On the Bloom Chic video you weren't too sure about the square neck on you but the 2 square neck items today were winners.

I love the polkadot skirt and black V shirt. It looks great on you as does the jumpsuit
You could sew a wide border on the bottom hem of the cherry dress to add some length. The brown dress is made just like a gown I had in the mid ‘70s. Not a bad looking grouping.

That was fun! I love the polka dot skirt and the jumpsuit. I’m with you on the younger vibe of the pieces. ❤❤❤
The pieces you picked were great on you, especially the jumpsuit and cherry dress! ❤
Thank you, Patricia!
That toile dress is so pretty. I’d like to have one like that myself if I was younger. 💙
Love, love, love the polka dot shirt with the double v neck top. In or out is fabulous!

Loved all the outfits you liked to keep. But I thought black dress was too short. I couldn't wear it. I love you showing what you keep. Keep going love them
I am wondering if I could add a ruffle or something to make that one a little longer- I may try!
The vneck polka dot combo is also beautiful on you.
You are just SO entertaining, Mere! 💖
The jumpsuit is super elegant on you😍😍
Thank you!
Thanks so much for the review! I’ve been wanting to order from Cider for a while but I wasn’t sure about quality and fit!
love the bl and cherry dress on you.
Black jumpsuit suits you best, looks lovely on you.
I just love you, you are so funny and cute. I loved that first dress the best you look beautiful in it. Can’t wait for your next one.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m a first time visitor and thoroughly enjoyed your video😊
Thank you so much for visiting and taking the time to reach out ❤️
I just found your channel. I think you are positively FABULOUS & have such a wonderful outlook. Thank you for sharing your finds! I also love the literature references you include in the styling (Jane Austen...*sigh*).
Rena, thank you so much- I am imagining that you are pretty fabulous yourself, especially if you are a connoisseur of Jane Austen!!
I just love your vids, you’re the best ❤
Thanks for the video, it’s the first I’ve heard of Cider & I see they deliver to 🇨🇦 so I’ll be checking out the website. My favourites on you:
🥇 green dress (colour is lovely on you)
🥈 black v-neck t-shirt
🥉 black jumpsuit (hon. mention goes to black cherries dress).
Something like this:

If you decided you actually wanted to add a ruffle, you could add the gathered kind like this, instead:

I love the toile dress, but maybe with a different bra or the next size? The ladies look smooshed with insufficient support. The area above the waist is meant to fit a bit looser, with some vertical gathering across the bust, not pulled smooth. Alas, this is another case of inconsistent sizing since the rest of the dress fits fine. Because of its cut, it would still look fine in the next size and I don't think the shoulders would be a problem with the elastic to help them stay up. But a different bra may solve the problem. It doesn't look bad, just doesn't look as good as you deserve! ❤
Love you and your Texas sized smile and funny personality!
Edit: that was supposed to be sunny, but iPhone chose funny for you instead! 😂 It's not wrong...
black jumpsuit looks fantastic on you.
Because of this I tried Cider! (I also told them it was you who recommended so maybe they might sponsor you someday??!)
I already got my items-a halter tankini with SHORTS (like boxer briefs) 😍 and also the black dress with cherries (it’s called LESLIE so I couldn’t resist!) the dress was a bit too-too short for me (I’m 43 but also never would’ve been comfortable wearing something that short!) and the bust didn’t offer enough coverage (vertically) for me.
Great video! You are a hoot! Good info. Thanks you! And I love your dog! Labradoodle?
Love the toille dress ❤🎉
Thank you, Mary! I have seen the slit up just a little bit, but love that dress and the skirt!
The green dress would look great with a black sash and black shoes.
Oh my goodness, thank you, Amanda!
As a nightie that is a winner!!
I think I’d have to wear it as a nightie, though!! ❤️❤️
@@BigonStyle absolutely agree!!! But both the nightie options so to speak would be nice for staycations. 😜
