But i got the feeling they’re preparing another fighting games like Darkstalkers / Rival School / etc to fill the CPT until they’re ready to show SFVI.
Of course Street Fighter VI would be in the works. I presume it'll be PS5 exclusive and they'll probably just support it through the PS5's generation. Hopefully this time around it'l have good net code, lots of characters, great graphics, gameplay improvements, etc. Besides that, there's plenty of remaster & collections that Capcom should do. I hope you have a great holiday season and also a great New Year's Day.
CC 2021 thought: how about a conglomerate tournament? What I mean is instead of just one game, ALL major SF games play into the championship. Instead of focusing on SFVCE only, the eventual CC 2021 champion has to be proficient on SSF2 Turbo/Hyper Fighting, SFA3, Third Strike and SSF4 as well. The logistics would be h×ll but the overall Champion would truly be the King or Queen of Street Fighter.
Vesper make a SF6 video sooner rather than later. Imagine if it got seen by Capcom while the game was still in early development and you had some ideas they hadn’t considered. You never know man
They need a new hardcore story mode and grow each characters story. The gouken, akuma, ryu and ken story needs to develop much more. Make it a rated R story
Sidestepping your enemies' attacks, should be fun. Imagine, Urien pulling off his super, only for Ryu to side-step him(& his(Urien's) super-move!), & to unleash his(Ryu's) own super on Urien, *WHILE HE(Urien) IS IN HIS SUPER MOVE STATE!!!*

Also while he does use other's moves he does them all differently except boom. In SFV he just steals them without any type of difference in execution
Savon Torres her gi is like a dirty yellow, and she isn’t a shoto, she’s nothing like Ryu honestly. She’s a karate fighter. This is just my opinion obviously.
I just think they don’t want the last champion to auto qualify for the next year from now on, it wouldn’t be a good look if the 2019 winner (Idom) found out right after winning that he is not qualified for the next year so they are implementing this rule change now so next year will not have this issue. Capcom will still be selling DLC for SFV, don’t know if they’ll bring more characters but Capcom knows they can’t rush SF6 out like they did SFV or they’ll just be repeating past mistakes.
SFV being exclusive did more harm than good. Xbox live cross platform would've been nice for the community longevity. Shame on Capcom for allowing this
Ono already confirmed that sf6 won't be a launch title for ps5, which is November 2020. Capcom isn't going to switch games in the middle of the season, so that's not really leaving them much of a window they can release sf6 in and still play it in 2021. Not to mention it would be pretty wasteful to create a tournament mode, only to retire the game right afterward. It's more likely that Capcom is just planning on changing the tournament format for 2021, and sf6 will be after CC in 2021, or in 2022.
I imagine we will get a Trailer at evo and a character reveals for 6 at next CPT. They might be saving the fan requests like ORO Makoto etc as SFVI louche characters to get more hype. I think SFVI should ether be a Reimagining/Remake of III or a Sequel to III. And have all of the core roster from SFIII + some fan favorite classics or returning from SFIV and V.
I sure hope it looks great. A HAND DRAWN ARC SYSTEMS AESTHETIC would be ideal since SF6 should be the next canonical game after Street Fighter 3 and it’s beautiful hand drawn look. Most importantly it has to be fun.
@@savontorres2140 precisely. Keeping my fingers crossed we don't get Street Fighter x Tekken, MvC3, MvCI, KoF14, Samurai Showdown, SF4 or SF5. Well maybe Supa 404 does.
Everyone saying they should have like all the characters at launch, won't happen. 2 reasons, money for dlc characters and stages slowly and to keep interest, easier to come out with something remotely balanced with less than like 20 to start with unless you have clone characters. I'd like it to be released with as complete a package as now but probably won't happen.
Exactly, those people aren't even real fighting players because they'd know that it'd be unrealistic....I think they should add a good story and arcade mode, and have a few more characters for launch but most importantly, the online experience HAS to be better.....
More than one company has now made more than one fighting game series currently. SNK, Arc Systems Works, Warner Brothers...If Capcom has been alluding to anything it the fact that they will branch off, and see at least another prominent fighting game see the light of day, maybe sooner than later.
I am 99% that there won't be SFVI on 2021. They changed most other CPT/CC2020 rules so maybe just decided to change this one too. A few weeks ago Ono said in BGS and EGX Q&A panels and in a post EGX interview with Eurogamer that don't hold your breath for SFVI because they won't start developing it until at least a year or two from now, that before VI they still plan to support SFV for more or less the same time they supported IV (he mentioned they supported SFIV during "8 years", equivalent to 8 seasons) and that wants to see next gen and its first games released to see what new stuff they offer and design the game from scratch considering it. So it sounds they will support SFV until 2022/2023 and won't release SFVI before. Also consider that between PS3, PS4 and PS5 releases, and between SFIV and SFV there has been almost exactly 7 years. And that SFIV and SFV were released 2 years and 3 months after the release of their PS console. So if the pattern follows SFVI would be released on February of 2023, what would match with Ono's vague words.
Capcom Fighters tweeted SF1 boss character - Sagat SF2 boss character - M.Bison SF3 boss character - Gill SF4 boss character - Seth So in my opinion, who is SF5 boss character - ???
imagine if Capcom mixes the good things and fixes the bad ones from SFIV and SFV... SFV's main idea was to making it easier for new comers, and that's not bad at wall, look at how many new players got into the scene. But the way they did it, was the real problem. There was no need to completely remove hard aspects from the game such as 1F links, instead, they could just nerf those hard aspects and buff the easy ones. hope they do this to SF6
I said this on your stream the same day Capcom Cup was held. They never said that there will be 2 capcom cups lol, they just said that the season will be split in 2 mino seasons, and the capcom cup will be on france and not in the usa xD
Ok so if everyone remembers back before the sfv beta Capcom stated that if you BUY IN you'd be essentially getting a unfinished game but access to it as the game/beta gets built. But everyone still flipped tf out when the beta released. Anyhow with me saying this if Capcom decides to not follow the same development path and takes a few year's to put out a quality product but in beta I hope ppl aren't going to lose their collective shit.
I still would had preferred a change of pace with another IP before SF6 but I understand, capcom is not in position to experiment, specially with how dependant SF is in its esport scene.
Huge fighting game fan, This will be a great game if it's like SF5 with more characters combos e.t.c but we want TEKKEN X SF!, Street fighter x Tek was huge when it come out this will be bigger!
It'll be another SFV release if they are planning on releasing SF6 that early. Honestly I wouldn't mind having to wait 3 or more years, if the pay off is a completely well polished SF6.
There might just not a capcom cup in 2021 street fighter league might become its replacement especially considering that the Intel world open format is the same as street fighter league
That's way too far in time I'd say. Champion Edition is quite certainly the last update of the game in terms of mode (aside maaaybe a silly casual mode like Omega) and that's next February. At best, I'd see a character bundle at Evo like this year (maybe 3-4 final characters) with the official SF6 release date announced at next Capcom Cup for a release end 2021(early 2022 at the latest).

Well, they still haven't revealed season 5 characters so that something to look forward to.
Ono did mention something along the lines that there wouldn't be any further character releases and balance patch after the launch of Champion Edition until the Olympics event has concluded so that takes us until next Summer I believe?
I could see one last character bundle of 3-4 characters and a balance patch at Evo then that'd be it (aside maybe one last balance patch and silly mode like Omega).
@@zTom_ - I'm thinking 5 more characters.... ending with 1 more character than USF4, had.
SFIV released like two years after PS3/360 released. The same with SFV (released in 2016, two+ years after PS4 released). I say Capcom not gonna show SFVI until the end of 2021 and release it at early-mid 2022.
SF6 coming out in 2021 is to soon. A Capcom all stars fighting game sounds good until SF6. In the meantime, Capcom should really focus on the netcode.
i hope there's no sf6 in the works. i'm really enjoying sfv.
A Monster Hunter World producer took over Capcom's fighting game division last year right? I wonder how that will affect new Capcom fighters
New netcode gets me hype af
Vesper make a SF6 video sooner rather than later. Imagine if it got seen by Capcom while the game was still in early development and you had some ideas they hadn’t considered.
You never know man
If SF6 comes out I will wait 4-5 years after to buy the full version 😂
Lol
I would rather have a new Darkstalkers than SF6
Just imagine a Darkstalkers on the RE Engine
If it was Darkstalkers, SFV would still be in the CPT in 2021.
i just want something like usf4
reigning champ not auto qualifying sounds pretty definitive
(In Siri voice) "sorry did you mean Street fighter 3 4th counter"
They need a new hardcore story mode and grow each characters story. The gouken, akuma, ryu and ken story needs to develop much more. Make it a rated R story
I can only wonder what new mechanics capcom will add if they do a street fighter 6.
Capcom needs to release sf6 on xbox as well as playstation and pc and all crossplatform would be great for everyone!
Nah we good nobody wants to play with Xbox players. Besides they don't play fighting games anyways.
Microsoft didn't find them the first time. It's good on Sony and pc thank you.
Why is Capcom reluctant to make a Street Fighter Game that chronologically takes place after III?
They better have Makoto.
I don't understand how the SF community hates Seth and loves Makoto...
@@Phoenix-pb4sm IMO I think people like the underdog which is Makoto, she's not a top tier character but a fun complexed character. As far as Seth goes Idk, I didn't know people disliked him/her
@@Phoenix-pb4sm Makoto is really fun to play and looks cool. Seth was very uninspiring in sf4 since he was essentially a grey mash up of multiple other characters. Hopefully the sf5 version will be more inspiring.
@@mrgrimmer7997 Makoto literally looks like fem ryu / his little sister . Don't get me wrong I like her but she's literally female ryu design wise : white Gi and red accessory , black hair , stern slightly angry face .
Seth design wise is interesting in design but color palette not really , he's just a fight bot and wants to incorporate the best moves he deems worthy.
I hope FANG will be in sf6 :p
Ok, if Oro is not in the base hoster in SF6 I'm going to...be very sad
I imagine we will get a Trailer at evo and a character reveals for 6 at next CPT.
They might be saving the fan requests like ORO Makoto etc as SFVI louche characters to get more hype.
I think SFVI should ether be a Reimagining/Remake of III or a Sequel to III. And have all of the core roster from SFIII + some fan favorite classics or returning from SFIV and V.
As long as Ryu is done with taking Alex's spotlight i would be happy
Garret Woeller capcom needs to change ryu.i day finally make Alex THE main character and give ryu a whole new skill set different then before
The reveal would have to be earlier in the year.
The new fighting game is going to be a Kaiju Monster Hunter game where you fight other monsters.
I sure hope it looks great. A HAND DRAWN ARC SYSTEMS AESTHETIC would be ideal since SF6 should be the next canonical game after Street Fighter 3 and it’s beautiful hand drawn look. Most importantly it has to be fun.
Arc system uses 3d models
@@savontorres2140 Yes I know. Hence the reason for the word _aesthetic_ - True, I could have been clearer in my meaning.
MichiganJack Why must every fighting game needs to be compared to Arc System graphics? I don’t hate it but why?
@@supa8082 It looks nice and people like pretty things .
@@savontorres2140 precisely. Keeping my fingers crossed we don't get Street Fighter x Tekken, MvC3, MvCI, KoF14, Samurai Showdown, SF4 or SF5. Well maybe Supa 404 does.
Gotta save some characters for SF6 hype
Karin was a major pull for SFV
Yeah. Dudley, Sodom, Makoto, Eagle and Fei Long definitely need to be saved for SFVI.
@@sridrawings4510 Sodom
So if the pattern follows SFVI would be released on February of 2023, what would match with Ono's vague words.
do the capcom cup changes include non-laggy setups?
Capcom Fighters tweeted
SF1 boss character - Sagat
SF2 boss character - M.Bison
SF3 boss character - Gill
SF4 boss character - Seth
So in my opinion,
who is SF5 boss character - ???
dan
I asked the same thing, in another Versper vid recently. Necalli isn't gonna cut it.
Capcom’s nerfs are the final boss
I never played sf x tekken until today and realized that it feels very much like sfv
When do you think the announcement will be
imagine if Capcom mixes the good things and fixes the bad ones from SFIV and SFV...
Capcom should find a way to work with Red Bull for Capcom Cup. The Kumite events are all really nicely done.
i really hope Capcom being silent all year is a reason for SF6 secretly being developed
Doubt it
Will Seth be the final character coming out for SF5?
Probably.... I don't see the game being alive for 2 more years to create Ultra SFV: Championship Ed.
Yes
Definitely has to be
Most likely because it’s a hell of a lot of work to make his v skill 1 work with new characters.
He feels terminal
@@jasonsmith530 he is
It's SF Alpha 4. I can feel it, Vesp. it's definitely side SF. Spin-off.
i really wish they will not exclude c viper this time
Capcom Cup change has nothing to do with SF6 because they simply changed to a new cost effective format, so stuff got reset is all.
There might just not a capcom cup in 2021 street fighter league might become its replacement especially considering that the Intel world open format is the same as street fighter league
SFV "final version" in 2021-2022 for PS5 as a complete game.
I still think were gonna get a another season of six more characters for SFV in 2020
Capcom renewed the patent for Breath of Fire and god knows that's never coming back so that bulk renewal of patent don't really mean anything.
Vega, Decapre and El Fuerte will be featured in SF6.
El Stingray screw El Fuerte
I hope Capcom gets their shit together and have SF6 be made by Hideaki Itsuno and Maximillian
