Really great POV setup. Well done on some very nice shots, the rain drops beading on surfaces adds so much. 45mm seems to be a great focal length for street photography! Amazing what you can get away with whilst your subjects are so deep in their own little world. Excellent stuff. I like this!
The step up in quality compared to something like the GoPro or Osmo Action feels immense when I am watching this on my TV 😮. I also kind of enjoy not having a very wide angle. Well done Sam, inspiring as always 💯
interesting to see that you are using the wide focus area and let the camera decide where to focus, I always assumed professionals use single focus point only for more precision
Love the povs. Always inspiring me to get out and shoot my small town. Got the sx10 fujifilm. Will do some street photos Sunday. Might be able to go to Denver but I'm not surev😅
The pocket osmo 3 is the dogs danglies! My GoPro 11 hero black i got brand new and always had sd card error only used it like 4 times. Deffo getting rid of that and gna get this Osmo 3 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hi Samuel. Really nice camera walk. Unfortunatelly my last Friday camera walk ended up with broken bones and long days in hospital as it's freaking slippery in my country and looks like sooner than end of the March I will not be able to go and shoot. But lets change the subject. I adore this tiny 45mm f2.8 by sigma since it came out. it actually dropped in price from 450EUR to 300-280EUR in local online stores, I guess it's because people are willling to have much faster lenses like f1.4, f1.8. I have seen some tests and looks like this lens have some ghosting and it finest sharpnes point is about f5.6-f8. I wonder have you looked at Sony 40mm f2.5 G series compact lens? It's smaller than Sigma 45mm and has the manual apperture ring and looks like it's sharper than Sigma 45mm f2.8. Price of course is a bit different thing as Sigma is cheaper.
I feel when I get my Sigma 30mm on my aps-c then it will be pretty close equivalent to this. Feel like it's a pretty good prime for aps-c but for ff seems like you wouldn't get much different than just using a 50mm. Good shots as always either way.
I have a Nikon d40 and it’s an all around good camera but whenever I take photos of something white big black patches appear and disappear on the photo it’s done this before but I can’t remember how I fixed it and I was wandering if any of you know how to fix it ?
Great video ! And I 100% agree, a7iii is a fantastic camera. My only concern is that there is a well-documented issue with the a7iii where a minority (but a significant one) of owners suffer premature shutter failure - some with only around 10k clicks - so much so that in the US owners tried a class action law suit against Sony. Hard to assess the real world failure rate of course but it seems to be mentioned online more than shutter failure on most other cameras. Still love mine though. Great camera for street.
My a7iii has done nearly 150k shots since I got it. I go by my own data which is. It’s never let me down for photography. The audio jack however was a known issue to fail and mine did. Simple fix my a local repair shop and it was back to full health. I also know a lot of people who have the a7iii and they never had that issue, a lot of my community have this camera and not one of them mentioned it to me via dms etc. So I’m pretty sure this was an isolated batch issue.
@@Opticalwander Absolutely yes I hope so, and I would add that one thing I LOVE about the a7iii is that it works great with manual focus lenses if you want to try zone focusing - the peaking is excellent and the EVF nice and bright and you still get IBIS - I think that like the iconic original Canon 5D, the Sony a7iii will be looked back on in time as an asbsolute classic
Thanks Sam that was a perfect POV in London. The rain makes it just nicer. Question: You have no problem with the lens or the camera despite the heavy rain? I
Hey Sam, I'm looking at upgrading to the A7iv from the A7iii. Don't you have an A7iv too, would you recommend the upgrade? The new POV set up is great 👍🏻
@@Opticalwander It's weird how the side to side stabilization of this footage makes your movement look kind of FPS-game-y? Uncanny valley sort of. Like no human moves that smoothly :D Or you are a robot. Either or.
Massive fan of the A7III, any recommendations on where I can get a good second hand reasonably priced 24-70 F.2.8 GM, tried London Camera Exchange (good store) but prices tend to be about £1k.
A sony A7 III for 650 pounds? Where? dayum. I bought mine for 1.2K euros second hand but like new and I thought that was a steal. Nevertheless this camera is what made me fall in love with photography. I am building up my photography business again on the side and got some shoots planned. Looking forward to get more sigma lenses. What's your opinion on using the lenses for APCS on Fullframe sensor cameras?
I bought mine for 1.1k the year it came out. If you search around on eBay and Facebook marketplace you’ll find good deals. Apsc lenses on full frame isn’t a problem they’re mostly cheaper but you have to accept the crop factor to reduce vignette.
@@Opticalwander I'm using the stock Sony battery on My A7R3. It drained 5% after only 10 mins of light use. No issues with my Sony lens. I used to have bad battery drain with the Samyang 135mm F1.8 but it works perfectly after firmware update. I've just updated the Sigma firmware as well and will monitor. Thanks
Bro you need to tell me where you are picking up this camera for £700. I’ve been looking for ages! Easily 1k plus. Why I’m still choosing between a7iii vs 6700
@@Opticalwander Thanks I'll try looking. My area isn't the best I'd imagine London more options. What's your thoughts on a7iii vs a6700? Photography being the focus
A7iii’s bit more than £600. But you can get a brand new one now for £999. MPB haven’t caught up with that new offer and are offering excellent condition examples for £1100 😂😂😂😂
Yes hold it like this for the sake of showing the photos I’m taking and the rear screen of the camera Otherwise it would just be the street and no camera if I put it to my eye every time.
everyone is doing the same edits and everything looks the same , same places same shooting styles same technique sam composition rules same everything... Now it's all about color grading and editing softwares ...Yes it looks good but nothing unseen or outstanding, I hope whoever reads this comment understand that I'm not trying to discourage you and I'm not being mean, being a good photographer is very sophisticated by itself and doesn't depend on how advanced is the gear you're using, it's all in your eye and how your brain sees it, if you are a beginner or just starting to learn photography, just buy something cheap like an old small m.fourthirds or a compact camera and challenge yourself, use it to the fullest and shoot everything and anything till you learn and understand your style and keep practicing your own style .there's a lot of amazing photographers around the world , some are gone and some are still around , do some research ... You are right. His photographs are amateur level, there is no depth or meaning behind them people crossing streets, lightning cigarettes, wtf is that. Street photography should be art, what he is doing is photo journalism for topics that none asked for. Street is hard, less rewarding, and most of the time nothing happens.
The pov quality is insane. 👌And the color grading too. The photos are of course also very good.
Thank you 🙏🏼 I’m glad you liked it 😊
Yes but it goes in and out of focus unintended.
Always a pleasure when Sam uploads a London POV!
That POV camera is insane I feel like I’m actually on your chest
Huge fan of your work! Keep creative sam! ❤
Thank you Matt 🙏🏼
Love this POV setup, so much better than Gopro, i might upgrade to it this year. Love your work mate! ❤

Awesome job Sam! The quality of the POV is insanely good. Keep up the awesome work. Looking forward to the next video.

Good to know I’ll be sure to continue using this 🙏🏼 thank you for watching I really appreciate it 🙏🏼
Awesome video! Love these povs photography videos!!! London looks extremely moody and awesome! Iso 50 is gonna sacrifice some dynamic range I think!
You’re very right as it’s a “fake iso” but doesn’t hamper the images too much from my experience
@@Opticalwander thank you very much for the content! Would love to see some more povs! 🤗🔥
Thanks Sam for yet another lesson in doing POV's.... appreciate your work and patience.... Yoki..
I always enjoy your POV stuff because of the explanation you give as you shoot. Have a great weekend!
That beautiful rainy weather! Your editing made it very moody! I liked the photos very much!
next level quality

I decide between the two. For portraits / car photography I do. With the street, less so.

Hey, I used the chest mount 🙏🏼
I would like to start POV, is it better to buy a gopro 10 or osmo pocket 3? and one more question which mount chest did you use for dji
Action cams are more versatile. The pocket 3 is fantastic but has its limitations.
For german viewers: mpb is also available in germany.
I got a 35mm f2 from sigma that I plan to use for street photography
