Luther's great. And I love it that he looks nervous as hell on TV--he's human! Sam Phillips said that Luther would get all nervous and flustered in the studio because Cash would get impatient with him, so the key to the trio's success was "to take it off Luther", meaning doing everything to put Luther at ease so he could hit his licks.

Just around the corner there's heartache
Down the street that losers use
If you can wade in through the teardrops
You'll find me at the Home of the Blues
I walk and cry while my heartbeat
Keeps time with the drag of my shoes
The sun never shines through this window of mine
It's dark at the Home of the Blues
Oh, but the place is filled with the sweetest mem'ries
Memories so sweet that I cry
Dreams that I've had left me feeling so bad
I just want to give up and lay down and die
So if you've just lost your sweetheart
And it seems there's no good way to choose
Come along with me, misery loves company
You're welcome at the Home of the Blues
Just around the corner there's heartache
Down the street that losers use
If you can wade in through the teardrops
You'll find me at the Home of the Blues

Cash had, and still has, an amazing effect on people with his larger than life persona! The charisma he had was tangible and still is somehow through his spirit. He was likely the most genuine megastar ever to live in America to date. Likely no one will surpass him in this regard. He was and still is an emblematic and iconic figure. In his person, he held the opposing forces with which all of mankind struggles - good & evil, darkness & light, love & hate, hope & desperation, healing & pain, life & death. It is highly likely that anyone will ever surpass his ability to maintain his sanity, on the ‘world stage’, and be so transparent as a person. Only Cash!
