I like your fanon more than this canon is what I will say regarding the entire series. I still generally favor Legend of Spyro fanfiction authors such as Dardarax and RiverStyxx to the writing from Wings of Fire, at least in terms of overall quality. I feel like all of the WoF books, especially the first arc, have significant pacing and character development issues to the point that there were several points in trying to read The Dragonet Prophecy at Barnes & Noble in 2013 before Wings of Fire became as popular as it is now where I had to simply put the book down because I could not tolerate how unlifelike the narrative felt. The amount of soul and personal expression you put into your fan content for this series is very inspiring though, and quite a beautiful thing. It is rare to find somebody in today's world who expresses themself through an online dragon persona almost more endearingly than most human beings can in their every day lives. Your contributions give this series a more lifelike dimension of appreciable personality than the books ever could for me. I will spare delivering a long-winded rant on WoF's attempt at a narrative at this time.
I love your work Cyprus and I did wish that she got a book but I realize that we got to see her a lot through Moons book Also it would be amazing if you could do a remake of the first poster you did. Plz!
Tui May have thought it would’ve been repetitive, but Kinkajou isn’t actually an ordinary, happy, optimistic little kid. She is also a little confused towards NightWings. She isn’t quite sure how to feel about any of them. She’s been through a bunch, and it would be inspiring to hear about how she dealt with it and kept her perfect, happy but slightly cautious nature. Kinkajou’s book would maybe show how she felt a bit guilty about not always being there to help and fix problems. It would be funny to see her thoughts on Glory and how she’s her idol. She felt slightly betrayed by the entire rainwing tribe and felt like nobody cared that she was kind napped, taken and tortured. Kinkajou felt as thought all the RainWings who she thought cared about her saw her as annoying and dumb. But Kinkajou is so unique and it’s like she always looks on the bright side, looking up to Glory and her book would show her always tying to be as good as Glory and making up for all the action and opportunities she missed. Trying to prove herself as much as she could, just like Sunny. She wanted to be there and help and be big and be someone everyone could look up to, just like she looked up to Glory, the best dragon in her life, and the best dragon the RainWings ever met. Kinkajou is a lot on the surface, but even more under all those colourful scales. Idk whether to apologize for this mess or be proud of this masterpiece.
Even if kinkajou didn’t get her own book she could get a winglet. That way she does HAVE a book but it’s not that important. A kinkajou winglet could be quite interesting it could be about her time on the nightwing island or about her time at jade mountain with turtle and her the new Mudwing in her winglet during the time of arc 3. Love the art Cyprus! I wait every Sunday for your art! I love kinkajou! Side note:You forgot kinkajou’s frills!
Technically, she wouldn't need to go through character change in order to have an interesting story, she could just have a constant character arc who's character could be similar to someone like that boy from the Iron Giant. Of course, that would probably require a second character which she would have to revolve around and judging from some fans reactions to Blue, I don't think with she is capable of doing that.
A winglet for Kinkajou would be pretty cool it could be about her time captured by the nightwings, her dealing with anenome's enchantment or her saving the world from darkstalker
I actually was a little disappointed in not seeing a pov from Kinkajou but if there was a pov for her in arc 2 i feel like it would have messed with the arc and made it going from ‘suspensfull OMG whats gonna happen next’ to ‘yes everything is fine i love butterflies’ so i like Kinkajou as she is now. But, we could also have a kinkajou winglet, similar to Deathbringers more or less her childhood how she became the loveable kinkajou we all know and love today. But if Tui didn’t really have that ‘interesting childhood’ for Kinkajou then i totaly understand. Keeping her like this would have been way better then having her a serious dragon. Thanks for reading my comment all the way :D
If Kinkajou had a chance at a POV, I think it would be a Winglet about being held on the volcano. Just a little reminder about what she has gone through, so you remember that she’s not just a sweet face, like Sunny. She has a fierce side, and she’s intelligent, as shown at the end of book 10 with the whole strawberry thing.
I’ve got a question. Why does Kinkajou not have a ruff and her eyes are supposed to be green? But I DO LOVE YOUR DESIGN of her. You are so awesome and deserve WAY MORE subs keep this UP!
I think Kinkajou would fit much better as a winglet pov because those, although they relate to the plot in some way, are a lot more their own story than plot-driven main series books. I would honestly love to see a Kinkajou winglet just because I love her character so much.
I’m early! I love your style Cyprus it’s super cute! I agree that kinkajou shouldn’t have a book too but it would be cool if we had a book about her finding her parents (I did that in 4th grade) edit:I had a theory about books after arc 3 like povs duplicate so kinda start over clay trying to make jade mountain NoT a death place tsunami protecting her friends glory and deathbringer starflight living as a blind dragon and sunny and thorn visiting stonemover (jeez my longest comment)
as much as I love kinkajou, she isn’t my favorite Rainwing. In my opinion, I really like mangrove. he is such a sweet dragon, and is so determined. although second place is definitely kinkajou, then Jambu,Tamarin, then Glory, then Orchid, then Grandeur, fruit bat, dazzling, exquisite (I think that’s how you spell her name) Magnificent, and coconut. in my opinion, I do like Magnificent, but I feel like there should have been a few more pages showing what she did after the contest. so that’s why she’s kinda low on the list. Edit: I know there was another Rainwing but I can’t remember her name!
I see why she didn’t get her own main series POV and agree with you. But I do think it would be really interesting to see her get a Winglet maybe? Probably set in the past before the first arc (or at least starting then). That way we could get our Kinkajou POV book without it drastically affecting her immaculate development or the main plot too much. Maybe a joined POV Winglet with Tamarin. She’d be great for a Winglet too and I’d love to see more about her and Kinkajou’s friendship and how they met. That would be a treat!
If she DID have her own book, it could be outside the original series and be in the winglets series. She could have a book made about what happened to her before glory came to the rainforest, what happened to her at Jade mountain, and maybe even her growing up in the rainforest and how SHE felt about Glory becoming queen and all
I agree with all of your points, for sure. Plus, given that we had plenty of insight into her character via Moonwatcher's telepathy, we already had a pretty good idea of what goes on inside that poor head of hers. There's also something else that's rather interesting when it comes to Kinkajou, though. (SPOILERS BELOW! Going to leave a gap so that people who haven't finished the Jade Mountain Prophecy arc don't see ahead) . . . SPOILER WARNING: Though it can sorta be handwaved away as extremely fast learning, it's interesting that, through Kinkajou, the school itself can actually play a critical role in the plot--and not just in bringing the characters together. Before going to the school, Kinkajou couldn't really read. However, in the end, she wound up writing the spell (albeit with help) that locked away Darkstalker once and for all. It's kinda funny to think that the spell that locked away arguably the single most dangerous antagonist may be written with *the* worst handwriting to ever control animus magic. :P
Quick idea that came to mind - what if kinkajou got a winglet? like how kinkajou was in the rainforest until she was kidnapped by nightwings, and what it was like there until glory came? :D
i wanna see a kinkajou pov in arc 4, specifically as a teacher to the main cast, or at least a smaller book, just, a short little kinkajou pov at some point cause arc 4 was confirmed and i either want all new characters or kinkajou and peacemaker lmao, it could be fun
If only kinkajou got her own book :( btw, I love your kinkajou design! (also does kinkajou have the rainwing frills in this art, or are they behind the head?)
I’m glad that she didn’t get her own book because then people would realize how smart she really is and people would have a feeling that she would be the one to come up with an idea to stop Darkstalker, but everyone thought she was dumb so she was the least expected to have stopped Darkstalker
I honestly think fatespeaker should have gotten a book. She’s a great character and they could build off of her trauma from the false DoD and being a big outcast in her tribe. Like maybe she just really bubbly and positive to sheild herself from her trauma. Like just her as a character not the entire star speaker ship because some people hate her just because of the starspeaker ship which is a shame.
The reason why Kinkajou didn't get her own book is bc Tui stated that [yes she really did I believe] she has expressed herself enough in the other books that Tui didn't feel like she needed her own book. In book three Kinkajou literally talked the entire time Glory was awake in the caves [yeah, I get it she has been lonely for 18 days and no one to talk to but still🙃] She's also been introduced in book three, but we already know a lot about her than the others [Peril disagrees with me cause she was introduced in book one, and still got her own book😛] She's expressed herself with happiness and her speech in book three about how much she cared for other dragons. And please remember in book six when Moon was reading her mind... catastrophic! 🤗 🗨
Kinkajou didn’t get her own book because Glory is already a female Rain Wing protagonist. There can only be two books with the same tribe, one mal and one female. If we were to get a new Rain Wing protagonist it’d have to be Male. Also because each book includes a character change Tui probably didn’t want to change her.
I'm reading everyone's comment and all I can think is about HOW MUCH I want a winglet about her time on the nightwing island. That had to have been terrifying and traumatic, I love her bubbly and happy side but think about what could've gone on during her time there??
Kinkajou didn’t become a protagonist for the same reasons I think Luna shouldn’t have been a protagonist. There’s little to no need for character growth. Throughout Books 11-14, Luna shows no signs of major flaws to work on. Her hatred of HiveWings could have potentially been one, but that theme was already covered in Sundew’s book and really didn’t need the be explored again by Book 15. She’s a great supporting character with the way she tries to get Blue to take a stand against the corrupt rules, but there’s really no need to change anything major about her. Most new themes in Book 15 about “still smiling on the outside” and “doubt in being a good hero” came completely out of nowhere and in no way line up with the way Luna behaved in the previous books. I really think Luna would’ve been better off as a supporting character instead of a protagonist just like Kinkajou was.
while i still think it would be interesting to read from kinkajou's pov, i definitely understand why she didn't get one. besides, i loved Peril's book too and getting to know to her better.
With the POV’s of book are reserved for fully developing characters, Kinkajou is developed enough in the second arc that she doesn’t really need a POV slot. Though there is a problem in the second arc and its story. While the individual stories are great, the overall narrative is not so much. The first arc does the overarching plot best with each books individual story building toward said plot with the last book being the one that focuses on it. The problem with the second arc is that the book that focuses on its plot is the fourth book, not the last. It would be possible to fix the overarching plot in a sense while keeping the individual stories, though there would be a few tweaks here and there. Though one may wonder how we may change the order with how tight the story is. Simple, order 1, 3, 5, 2, 4. We start with Moonwatcher but with Icicle not escaping. Which leads to the jade winglet joining Peril and Turtle sneaking out of jade mountain, pyrite joins them after the talons of peace ambush. Kinkajou is knocked into her coma by the flame cactus leading to Peril tuning away and Winter chasing after her. They have their fight, Turtle carches up to the two with the rest of the group healing Winter injuries revealing he’s an animus. We continue on till Darkstalker breaks free where we continue with Qibli. Darkstalker says sweet words to get the group on his side. We continue on to Jade mountain and have Qibli’s story with the addition of Pyrite being revealed to be Hailstorm. Continuing at the end of the battle with Icewings and Nightwings, Winter and Hailstorm are sent away with their family and without Foeslayer the group are captured by Darkstalker. Continuing with Winter, we have His story with the diamond trial continuing with him and Foeslayer rescuing the Jade winglet. They succeed in freeing them but are captured with Darkstalker enchanting Winter to be loyal to him, maybe even turned into another dragon. This leads into Turtle and the rest of the jade winglet abut before being rescued with Darkstalker sending away Anemone. Their broken free, going after Anemone. They stop her and go get Kinkajou healing her from her coma. The group go off to save Winter and Stop Darkstalker. The group are able to barely succeed, end story. Also Winter would have had a better crush on Kinkajou than Moonwatcher, change my mind.
I think Kinkajou is an amazing character, though I think it’s also fair that she didn’t get her own POV book. Hear me out, although Kinkajou is that one character that we all like and we wish we could all read about her thought processes and feelings, her personality is, as you said, already developed enough. I think another reason Tui left out Kinkajou’s POV, (I could be wrong) is so we can try to imagine what it would be like to be Kinkajou.
What I heard was that Tui thought Kinkajou was too perfect to change (since POV books are for character development) and so she gave Peril a book since she still had much more growing to do.
Kinkajou should never get a main series book, but having a winglet about kinkajou (on the Nightwing island in book 3 for example) would almost sound good in my head. We would know how Nightwings really treated the Rainwings which I would really like to know more about. (Just my thought tho)
She didn’t get a book because all characters have a character change throughout the book, and Tui didn’t want to change Kinkajou, so she didn’t.

I feel like Kinkaju could be a POV character in a WINGLET story, but I agree that her main arch is great as it is!
I love your work Cyprus and I did wish that she got a book but I realize that we got to see her a lot through Moons book
Also it would be amazing if you could do a remake of the first poster you did.
Thx i kept asking my self why!
Cyprus, you forgot kinkajou's frill.
My face when u forgot the frill 👁️👄👁️
Even if kinkajou didn’t get her own book she could get a winglet. That way she does HAVE a book but it’s not that important.
A kinkajou winglet could be quite interesting it could be about her time on the nightwing island or about her time at jade mountain with turtle and her the new Mudwing in her winglet during the time of arc 3.
Love the art Cyprus! I wait every Sunday for your art! I love kinkajou!
Side note:You forgot kinkajou’s frills!
I THINK ABOUT THIS EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!
I wish that jambu had his own book or deathbringier
Technically, she wouldn't need to go through character change in order to have an interesting story, she could just have a constant character arc who's character could be similar to someone like that boy from the Iron Giant. Of course, that would probably require a second character which she would have to revolve around and judging from some fans reactions to Blue, I don't think with she is capable of doing that.
A winglet for Kinkajou would be pretty cool it could be about her time captured by the nightwings, her dealing with anenome's enchantment or her saving the world from darkstalker
Its amazing Cyprus!!! But you may have forgetten her frill...
I love her as she is. Who would need another book? I wouldn’t.
I agree with this so much! Great work cy!
Wait where is her frill-
I’ve got a question. Why does Kinkajou not have a ruff and her eyes are supposed to be green? But I DO LOVE YOUR DESIGN of her. You are so awesome and deserve WAY MORE subs keep this UP!
I know im kinda late but kinkajou does have green eyes and yeah i think she forgot the ruff but its fine ig
I literally read the title of the video and was like, "EXACTLY!!"
as much as I love kinkajou, she isn’t my favorite Rainwing.
Lol, Tamarin?
@@elektraskittles97 thanks!
I totally agree with you! Also, very nice art! 👍
If she DID have her own book, it could be outside the original series and be in the winglets series. She could have a book made about what happened to her before glory came to the rainforest, what happened to her at Jade mountain, and maybe even her growing up in the rainforest and how SHE felt about Glory becoming queen and all
Love the art She turned out so cute! and Cyprus what brush do u use for ur line art? by the way u forgot her frills.
Going to leave a gap so that people who haven't finished the Jade Mountain Prophecy arc don't see ahead)

i wanna see a kinkajou pov in arc 4, specifically as a teacher to the main cast, or at least a smaller book, just, a short little kinkajou pov at some point
cause arc 4 was confirmed and i either want all new characters or kinkajou and peacemaker lmao, it could be fun
Kinkajou is my favorite chacter so I would have loved to see her own book!
YOU FORGOT HER FRILL- AAHHHHH
I’ve never seen Kinkajou as a main arcs pov character, I’ve always seen her as a legends/winglets pov on the NightWing island
First :)) ALSO, IKR??? She definitely deserves her own book.
the friilllsss
the rainwing frriillss are misssiiinnnggg
Wow ur my favorite wof youtuber!
I totally agree with you!
If only kinkajou got her own book :( btw, I love your kinkajou design! (also does kinkajou have the rainwing frills in this art, or are they behind the head?)
Like Tui says, she's already saved the world multiple times, she doesn't need to again
Kinkajou is perfect! No fixing
There's a rumor that the 16th book is going to be in Kinjajou's POV!!!! I'M SO EXCITED
Hello Cyprus! Have a good day
I’m glad that she didn’t get her own book because then people would realize how smart she really is and people would have a feeling that she would be the one to come up with an idea to stop Darkstalker, but everyone thought she was dumb so she was the least expected to have stopped Darkstalker
🗨
Kinkajou didn’t get her own book because Glory is already a female Rain Wing protagonist. There can only be two books with the same tribe, one mal and one female. If we were to get a new Rain Wing protagonist it’d have to be Male. Also because each book includes a character change Tui probably didn’t want to change her.
I'm reading everyone's comment and all I can think is about HOW MUCH I want a winglet about her time on the nightwing island. That had to have been terrifying and traumatic, I love her bubbly and happy side but think about what could've gone on during her time there??
Kinkajou is a great character! I do think that she deserved a book in the second ark
I know I’m a bit late, but I think that kinkajou would be the PerfecT dragon for a winglet to see into the night wing prisons, also love the video 💜
If you do another one, I would love to see snowfall and lynx, If you have time.
Can you do why Swordtail didn’t get his own book cuz he did change a little in the series?
That explains a lot!
I dont know anything about this book, but I like your art.
Where do I find this book(s), it sounds like a good read.
I just wish she had more of a part in that part of the story
What’s strange to me is that even tho kinkajou dint get a book, tui confirmed the bubbly rain wing is her fav character :o
I don’t know why nobody’s mentioning this but when kinkanjou’s book PROBABLY would have been she would have been in a coma
Speaking of kinkajou, it also reminds me of anemone, turtles magic made Sister who also didn’t get a book even both are from jade academy
I would be down for a winglet though! Maybe in the future, as a loyal supporter of Glory.
I'm glad Tui kept kinkajou the same, she's already great.
I think Kinkajou is an amazing character, though I think it’s also fair that she didn’t get her own POV book. Hear me out, although Kinkajou is that one character that we all like and we wish we could all read about her thought processes and feelings, her personality is, as you said, already developed enough. I think another reason Tui left out Kinkajou’s POV, (I could be wrong) is so we can try to imagine what it would be like to be Kinkajou.
i love kinkajou :>
I feel like we should get a shot book about kinkajou
What I heard was that Tui thought Kinkajou was too perfect to change (since POV books are for character development) and so she gave Peril a book since she still had much more growing to do.
Kinkajou should never get a main series book, but having a winglet about kinkajou (on the Nightwing island in book 3 for example) would almost sound good in my head. We would know how Nightwings really treated the Rainwings which I would really like to know more about. (Just my thought tho)
Who else thinks it would be awesome is there was a 4th arc with bird and/or snake dragons? (I just want an excuse to read more WOF books)
