My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We see over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000's of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!

Your shop is a thing of beauty! I am impressed at how nothing looks out of place--even the piano looks good there. My only problem with it is that you are about 1000 miles away from me rather than around the corner. Thanks for taking us behind the curtain of your functioning business. Great video, as always.
"They say" pianos are very good for testing repaired chainsaws. the different materials create different loads, like hitting a knot or nail.

Boxes stores usually sale 10%-15% more then an actually authorized dealer.
Briefly worked at an auto parts store. A female was the specialist in certain parts. She'd get the phone passed back to her when a caller would ask for "one of the guys"! LoL 🤣😆
Love project farm too. Your advice came in handy the other day. My neighbor was trying to start his saw and it wouldn't pop off. I saw a can of tru fuel. I said that might be the problem and of course, I just bought it and it was recommended, bla bla bla. I got my 2 cycle fuel and convinced him to dump out his fuel. We refilled it, and several pulls later his saw was running fine. I thought, ok he is good to go. 30 minutes later his saw is not running. He said it ran fine and I ran it out of fuel and now it will not start. I asked did you get some ethanol free fuel and mix up some new fuel? He said no. I thought once it was running, I could put the tru fuel in and it would run. I looked at him and said how's that working for you. I think it finally sank in. He had to try and return the crap and buy 2 cycle oil, then go to the gas station that has ethanol free fuel and mix up a can. Later that day he said that even though the price of ethanol free gas is about $.60 a gal. more than the other gas. It turned out to be much cheaper than the can fuel. I said that depending on how much 2 cycle he uses, that every 3 months or so he should mix up fresh 2 cycle and whatever is left over from his last batch can be mixed in with his generator/lawnmower gas and used up that way. He seemed to be on board with that. I guess time will tell.
You're like a breath of fresh air Bre, I support the shops in our area, best service and knowledgeable one on one. Box stores suck. The piano in the new shop? Definitely, and have your talented son play for customers. Love your sense of humor too.

My aunt worked at a Chevy dealer in the 60s and 70s. She had almost a photographic memory of the parts and applications. when guys would come in and get talking to one of the parts guys they used to say we're more of a gopher and fill-in for when she's busy or gone. If the guy insisted she would listen and go get the part, put it on the desk before the parts guy could finish looking it up.
By the mid 70s she had guys who would only deal with her.
The shop always looks so great stocked up with new stuff.

Your son plays piano very good! I have five grown children, four of which learned piano. The two youngest did it on their own using RUclips and they are the better players.

I have had my echo pas225 since 2018 all I have done to it was replace spark plugs clean spark arrestor with a torch and adjust the carburetor really the only repair I did was replace the speed feed. Head I have ran a blade and a polesaw best trimmer I have ever used.

I just watched this episode. Our Daughter worked for our local hardware store/Stihl dealer. It took her quite a bit of time to overcome the "talj to the man" people. One person in particular NEEDED to talk to the man. After way too much time he called her over and she had the part for the customer in no time. I enjoy your videos and all you tips for repairing equipment.
The BEST was your son playing the piano. I envy the fellow for learning. Believe me he will thank you mom for enabling him to learn. I can already tell that he is going to have a bright future. Especially with a wonderful Mom like you. Hang in there Dad, we know how proud you are too !

Now that is a proper parts counter... Stools for customers! 30-40 year ago, you didn't walk into a shop like this or automotive, what they didn't have a stool to sit on while they went and got your part.

The 032 AV was an awesome saw. I bucked up over a 100 cord of wood with one as a teenager.

Sell me on a echo saw. Mainly home trimming and light farm work. I go to my local echo dealer and just get confused on what I need and seems like the sales person just tries to up sale me to the most expensive saws.

I do not buy from Home Depot I go to my dealer try to get HD to put some gas in it and make sure it runs for you it AIN'T gone happen LOL .Have noticed you work on a lot of stihl stuff the local dealer must not know how to fix stuff like you do may be (ACE HARDWARE). In Jacksonville Fl. it's like stihl dealers are getting like drug stores on every corner . Your son plays the piano beautifully. We have a full size marimba in are formal living room my son plays sometimes when he comes over .The room mostly gets used by the dog sleeping on the top of the couch . I noticed y'all checking your Echo order that's great I used to work ay Yellow Freight those dock workers tore stuff up all the time. No stealing happened the guard at the gate checked you like you were getting on an air plane (the workers not supervisors ) . Thank you for your wonderful videos !!!!!!!

I've always had good experiences at a shop/ store with a cat sleeping on the counter.
I have a son just like yours....my baby....only 53 years old. But he has been playing music since the 5th grade; anything! Horns, piano, guitar...just about anything he can pick up or walk up to. Me and the other two kids can barely play the radio.
I have a upright piano my kids played. Their gone so I listed it, you move it it’s yours!!!
