The deaths of Bob and Eddie were definitely the saddest in my opinion. Jason also suffered a pretty horrible death too. And all those people melting into flesh and combining into a new monster was the most disturbing thing I had ever seen in a horror series.
I've got mixed feelings about Jason's death, mainly that even though he died when that portal opened between him (yes it was so horrifying), I think he got what he deserved for framing Eddie just because of Chrissy's death at the hands of Vecna and even accidentally causing Max's death by stepping on her Walkman before she was eventually revived later.

Nope That's not over for Dustin. It sucks people think that about Eddie. But I have to believe Dustin will fix that for him.
It was a bit strange, the uncle never ask a question about how his nephew died, just crying. The first thing I'll do is asking what exactly happened with my relative.
I honestly felt the minute Eddie said “I just run away” that he would ultimately redeem himself and sacrifice for the group by not running. Great foreshadowing 👌🏼
Season 4 was really the most brutal and scary of all of the seasons. I felt so bad for all the victims of Vecna and the show really portrayed a great and scary villain that is purely evil but not that simple and a fleshed out complex character. Such a great season!
Normally I don't hate fictional villains this much, but Vecna is one of those special cases. I rarely ever voice my hatred for anyone, let alone fictional characters, but next to Pennywise, the Joker, Sebastián Shaw, Brenner, Neil Hargrove, both Alvin Marsh and Tom Rogan, Sonia Kaspbrak, Mysterio, and especially Jason Carver, Vecna is up there among the most hated characters I've ever come across in fandom..
He could be more fleshed out though if they shown more of what he did in the upside down and turned into that monster known as Vecna. They just showed a few seconds of it which is so bad because they spent so much more time on the various other casts and their teenage problems.

Eddie is the one that always gets me. Especially after he started playing Metallica. Although, I hope we get more of Victor Kreel in Season 5, because it sucks he was only in one episode. Also IT'S ROBERT FREAKIN ENGLUND!
Chrissy's death in particular got to me. Being the first of Vecna's victims, it's really fucked up how she was psychologically tortured and isolated before her gruesome end.
Eddie, Bob, Billy deaths were the most painful to watch :( and the fact that the town doesn't know they sacrificed themselves for a town that doesn't care about them.
I absolutely hate fictional small towns now, especially when they're this small-minded and callous. I never thought I'd hate a fictional small town this much after Derry (their massive youth kill count thanks to Pennywise, awful parents, and outdated beliefs, really) and Konoha (the way they treat Naruto is their worst offender, but sadly not their only crime), but season 4 makes me really despise Hawkins after how they treat Eddie and all. Nope, the time for fictional small towns has to end, no more abuse, or you're done for!
God bob didn’t deserve his death at all :( that broke my heart he was such a hero and cared so deeply for his friends and family. He was completely innocent man
There were a number of deaths in ST that were very sad (Eddie, Bob, and Max for the minute that she died), but Billy’s death really got to me. As much as he was horrible to Max and a jerk, his character was well-written and perfect for the show. When I first saw Vecna in trailers for season 4, I thought it was Billy as the arms that went into Vecna’s body looked exactly like the arms that went into Billy at the end of season 3, so I was excited because I thought that Billy would be coming back. I’m still holding out hope that Billy will be back in some way, but I know that that might not happen.
Stranger Things is one of those shows that introduces us to new characters and we instantly fall in love with them. That's why the deaths of characters like Barb, Bob and Eddie were so impactful throughout the fandom. Season 4 was a masterpiece and it's right behind Season 1 as my favorite season of the series.
Eddie's death really got me because it was so sad that most people saw him as a killer. Its also upsetting that he died and left his uncle on his own in the world. So happy some people(including Hellfire Club) saw him as a hero and died a hero of Hawkins.
I’ve watched so many videos about Stranger Things 4 in the last couple of weeks, and the vast majority of comments have been about Eddie. Such a great character, and so beautifully played by Joseph Quinn. I know he had an arc, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Duffer Bros are regretting killing him off.
Bob was one of the saddest for me but Eddie completely BROKE me... I cried for like half an hour after the episode ended because I'd grown to like and relate to him so much - it was why he was one of my favourite characters on the show

I wanted him and Max to have s nice sibling relationship but it never happened.
And so a lot of malls felt Billy's pain that day because they knew that the trauma of seeing you friend die would stop any customer from ever setting foot in a mall again. In fact, I bet the entire gang avoids malls at all costs.
I cried so hard when Eddie died, I love Eddie he was an awesome character and he died a hero but what hurts the worst is the town still thinks he's a murderer I truly hope they clear his name in season 5! R.I.P Eddie may you rock the heavens forever you metal God! 🤘🤘
Max's death was so gut wrenching... Watching her beg for her life, and Lucas crying 😭 begging for her to stay, begging for his little sister's help... I lost it there... Luca's acting with Sadie killed me....
Tbh, in an alternate universe, Angela was listed here because there could have been an alternate scenario on how the Roller-Rink scene could have turned out. Here’s my take on it. “After Eleven is humiliated by Angela at the Roller Rink, Eleven thinks of the anger tactic that Eight gave her and thinks of memories of her past (such as the torture she experienced at Hawkins Lab, her mother tortured, and Hopper's death), which would cause her to yell and emit a telekinetic shockwave that repels Angela and her friends in the center of the rink. While her friends would survive, Angela's neck would snap when hitting the counter of the rink wall which kills her. Everyone looks in horror as the bone sticks out from Angela’s neck as she is choking on her blood with her nose and eyes bleeding. Eleven looks disoriented and faints while Mike and Will check on her.” This would make the scene more sense on why the corrupted government would think Eleven is the cause of Vecna's attacks since she killed Angela in the same week.
They left out Jason’s death. When the gate to the upside down opens after Max’s death it tears him in half. It’s sad too because while he wasn’t the nicest character you could tell he had noble intentions.
Eddie's sacrifice had me in a flood of tears, plus when Max died I couldn't take it. My niece kept saying "auntie stop crying,I'm here for you", sweet little girl she is didn't know I was watching TV.
I think the deaths this season were brutal but they were all on side characters. It feels like the plot armor in this show is so strong that every season, we are introduced to new characters that are immediately killed off.
I know that technically Max isn’t dead, though when El went in to her mind in the last episode it seems like maybe they’re hinting that she’s brain dead, but as someone that survived some pretty bad depression, seeing her “last” moments when Lucas is holding her and she can’t see and that even after everything she said earlier in the season tells him she doesn’t want to die and isn’t ready felt especially heartbreaking.
ikr i dont know how more people aren't talking about that, even if she's not braindead she'll be a blind quadraplegic for the rest of her life, most heartbreaking part of the series for me especially after her first vecna escape
That Season Finale in Season 4 was by far the most emotional because not only was their more than one death but we got a major death even though El brought Max back. It was still emotional and Heartbreaking to watch from Max, El, Lucas, Dustin and Eddie. Their reactions and the actors acting made it much more Heartbreaking just like Max's reaction when Billy died and even though Eddie was on in one Season the reaction from both Dustin and his Uncle made his death much more Heartbreaking.
Master of Puppets is playing on almost every station around my town and all my coworkers and friends are posting it. That scene clearly made a hell of an impact. Eddie was the best.
I don't understand how so few of these lists have the flayed melting into the mind flayer. One of the few moments in any show that actually got to me. Vecna kills just make me think Brendan Frasier is gonna pop out and start fighting mummies.
Even tho a lot of people didn’t like Billy, I did. I felt he could have had a great redemption if he had lived. Sure his actions were awful, but I genuinely believe that wasn’t who he really was. I sobbed when he died 😭
Honestly, the fact that Bob got killed while his love interest just stood there screaming when she had SOME time to try and help before the others arrived makes it infuriatingly obvious that if she had leapt into action like he had instead of hesitating for those few precious seconds, his death could have been avoided.
Bob and Eddie will forever be the saddest moments...well I would say Max too cause for a few moments there...she was dead. And though 11 brought her back. seeing her with all limbs broken on life support wondering when she wakes up if she will be blind or not is still hard to take in. But then you have Dustin going to Eddies Uncle. That was just hard.
The fact that someone being thrown into an extremely high-voltage machine is ranked lowest on the list just goes to show how violent the show and the deaths are
Ima be real with u i think this season was the best season. I mean season 4 ep 1 is like the best starying episode to the season. It did everything right.
i always felt that max’s death was brutal and tragic.. she didn’t even quickly die from vecna, she was completely left to die, blind and numb. and if she survived literally a few moments later she wouldnt have been killed
I think season one and season four had the most kills so far is Stranger ThingsAnd I can hardly wait to see how they’re going to push the episodes forward in season five

Everyone looks in horror as the bone sticks out from Angela’s neck as she is choking on her blood with her nose and eyes bleeding. Eleven looks disoriented and faints while Mike and Will check on her.”
This would make the scene more sense on why the corrupted government would think Eleven is the cause of Vecna's attacks since she killed Angela in the same week.
Is nobody gonna talk about Jason's death, that one looked extremely painful
Eddie deserved better!
RIP Eddie the Hero 👑🦇☠️
They left out Jason’s death. When the gate to the upside down opens after Max’s death it tears him in half. It’s sad too because while he wasn’t the nicest character you could tell he had noble intentions.
Eddie's sacrifice had me in a flood of tears, plus when Max died I couldn't take it. My niece kept saying "auntie stop crying,I'm here for you", sweet little girl she is didn't know I was watching TV.
How was Barb’s death not on this list?
Eddie’s should’ve been #1 that was so sad to watch.
When he said, “I didn’t run, did I” it was crushing. 😭😭😭
Isn’t anyone gonna talk abt Bob’s death? it was so heartbreaking :((
Eddie's death broke my heart, especially the scene afterwards with his uncle
Yeah Jason is for sure missing on here, it was very quick but BRUTAL
Bob was such a kind and innoscent man. He just threw himself in dangers way to save the others.
I believe Eddie deserves the top spot. He had no reason to save Hawkins when they believed him to be a monster. RIP Eddie, Bob and the rest
I always cry the second time watching😢😢😢
Jason's death was absolutely brutal and the camera was barely paying attention to it. You can see his ribcage dissolving while he screams.
we already know man 😭 there’s so many traumatic ones
Fr fr
These were so brutal!
If you ain’t from the 1st season you may wanna get your affairs in order just in case 😂
I sobbed when he died 😭
movies and tv shows don’t normally make me cry, but i cried like a baby when eddie died. eddie and dustin’s acting were so good
I can't wait to see what Vecnas death is gonna look like once EL is done with him.
Honestly, the fact that Bob got killed while his love interest just stood there screaming when she had SOME time to try and help before the others arrived makes it infuriatingly obvious that if she had leapt into action like he had instead of hesitating for those few precious seconds, his death could have been avoided.
I feel like the flayed from season 3 could be painful.Imagine having no control of your body and than getting desoved into goo.😞
Make a Top 10 best moments of Stranger Things of Season 4
Bob's death definitely was brutal because it seemed like he was safe and going reunite with Joyce.
If only the broom or whatever didn't hit the ground, he would be safe.
Who had a mental breakdown when Lucas was screaming for Erica to help max 😭😭
Bob and Eddie will forever be the saddest moments...well I would say Max too cause for a few moments there...she was dead. And though 11 brought her back. seeing her with all limbs broken on life support wondering when she wakes up if she will be blind or not is still hard to take in. But then you have Dustin going to Eddies Uncle. That was just hard.
The fact that someone being thrown into an extremely high-voltage machine is ranked lowest on the list just goes to show how violent the show and the deaths are
This season was something and wasnt that bad. Cant wait to see how it'll finally ends.
In my opinion the worst deaths were Chrissy, Billy, and Eddie.
Eddie’s death and Chrissy’s death was hard to watch bruuuu.
I think season one and season four had the most kills so far is Stranger ThingsAnd I can hardly wait to see how they’re going to push the episodes forward in season five
