You're absolutely correct, today it's all about "image", talent comes after that. A good example is Susan Boyle, everyone was ready to dismiss her simply for how she looked! She certainly fooled them all and so did Joe.
My favorite singer of all time. Literally my cannot live without music. If I could only have one artist to listen to for the rest of my life, it would be Joe Cocker.❤
He always made me cry and feel ok after he sang!! Would of loved to seen him at Woodstock!! Listen to A little help from my friends!! Total tear jerker!!
One of the most beautiful performances and songs I've ever seen. Such depth of emotion and feeling. You can't teach this. It's natural...and so beautiful. I love Joe Cocker. It reminds me of the original stage performance of Les Miserables, Bring him home sung by Colm Wilkinson. BEAUTIFUL!
I couldn't agree with you more. I'm from an older generation and I'm proud of you for recognizing Joe Cocker 's talent to deliver a performance from the fiber of his soul. His honest raw performance is what allows us that don't have that talent, but wish we did, to connect with him and the emotion he conveys. It is poetry. Peace my friend.
Joe Cocker always knew how to make a song his own and his voice is a voice unlike none other. I always felt that people judge a book by it's cover and he was one of them until he opened his mouth and that beautiful voice would bring tears to your eyes. ALWAYS LOVED JOE COCKER
Sooooo beautiful,,,,thank you ,,,(and I love you too ,,,) thank you for sharing with us ,,,I am a huge fan of Phil Driscoll too ,,looking forward to keeping up with you and your selections ,,,Theyre Great ,thank you and God bless ❤🤗👍
I've got chills and tears in my eyes all the song through.. it's amazing how he needed just a guitar sound and his incredible voice.. to open up a whole world of feelings and deep emotiotions to me..and I think to everyone who's listeing to him .. it's sad to realize that nowdays there's no one who can reply all this.. JK, you're so beautiful .. to me..!!
Have been in love with Joe from the beginning. And every time I see him, I cry. His voice only got richer and better. Gone too soon. Will always love him.
I was born in 1960 so in my teen yrs we had the best 70's music and I love my 60s too but you're right in my day you had to have pure talent, nothing to help you sound better no equipment to cover up what you really sound like. If they had talent it didn't matter what they looked like as you'll see in alot of videos back then but today if you're not pretty, skinny, buff or even have a huge butt forget it. I really miss my youth when we had great music, leave home in the morning and come home when the street lights came on and everyone kept an eye out for each other.
I love this version with acoustic guitar; so delicate. Joe was one of a kind indeed. I also loved your reaction to Joe’s “With A Little Help From My Friends.” So great to see a young person like yourself appreciate this great singer. Thanks for the video!
I was 14 when this aired on the radio. There was no MTV or anything like that. You heard it first on the radio. Then you bought the record. The 70s music was so good , we took it for granted I guess. Only realized that years later when the music from 80s hit. When he recorded this song and his voice broke at the end , it was so good, they left it like that. I'm 62 now and it does my heart good to see you love this music.
Joe was from my home city, Sheffield. He was a gas fitter who never lost his roots. Yes, he had his demons, but he always gave everything in every performance. He never sought fame, just to sing anf live the music. None better, ever.
I remember when I was a little kid, sitting the the back seat of our station wagon and this song came on the radio. I thought it was the most beautiful song. It always takes me back that night.
He has a awesome voice always loved this one of my favourites, really loved your reaction and you are right image over talant in the world today "sad" .But you are helping to get that message out there thank you music has so much power .💜💜💜💜💜💜UK
Joe has always been animated in his movements when he sang, even in his younger days. Many thought he had a medical issue. He explained that he feels the music throughout his whole body and his motions project that a well as helps him keep his band in step with him.
Love your thoughts . You see the heart , not the surface and superficial . Blessings eternal on you and your dear ones ...spreading the message of life (John 3:16) .
Thank you for your authenticity and willingness to experience music from your soul! I enjoy your channel! You are right that the industry put's so much attention on image, never giving some very talented people a second look. Keep on making videos!
That's a shame. I hope that changes about videos being blocked. At my church last year, they played this song as they showed images on the screen of church members or their family members who had died during the year. I rarely cry, but I had tears streaming down my face the entire time. This song was a perfect memorial to commemorate people who had passed on.
Hello JB this is from the best country in the world PORTUGAL. Joe Cocker was unbelievable. As I see you love amazing voices so please react to Procol Harum a Whiter Shade of Pale live in Denmark. It is amazing. Another amazing group is callad Marillion. Stay safe. Thanks from Portugal

We do miss so much by choosing image over talent. Luckily there are a lot of us around who know what what talent is. You are looking better; so glad you are okay.

Every woman wants a man to sing this song to them and mean it
Father to a newborn child.
If my man started singing this to me Id want to know if hes ok lmao
I watch a lot of reaction videos and you are my favorite. So sweet so pure you are.
These record companies should realize that these reaction videos promote music sales. I saw Joe live many times, he always blew the roof off. RIP Joe💝
He was one of the most unique singers of the 60s and 70s. Being born in the 50s was the greatest years in history.

Kevin Neal
No one sings this song like Joe does !
You are a GOOD man - I met joe back stage = after his concert -very sweet --very genuine
This song was written by Billy Preston and his mother.
His voice, this song, THE GREATEST, makes me cry. You need to listen to Unforgiven as well, sang by him. So beautiful!
Hes one of the most unique of the sixties era. Watch some of his videos when he was younger. Joe swings his arms around and just gets into it.
