I really enjoyed the first BioShock and Infinite, but skipped two because it did kind of seem to be universally panned. I got around to playing it at the start of the pandemic and it's probably the best game in the series. I agree with a lot of what they said in the podcast. The horror is intense in that way that a haunted house is, all atmosphere and the echoes of atrocities still sounding in the walls.
I felt like this kept the Bio shock promise. I mean after the first amazing story what do you do? Well you play as a Big Daddy. Which was an awesome choice. Cool episode though I thought you guys were talking about the first one based on the title.
I think I might play bioshock 2. I also took a long break from gaming and was told to skip bioshock 2. You guys made it sound really compelling.

Didn’t notice the title error
Bioshock 2 was panned? It's absolutely the best of the three.
