My mom and dad were always big fans of Dave Grusin. I remember when I was a little kid (must have been 1980) we made a big road trip out to Yellowstone, Grand Tetons National Park, Idaho, the SD Badlands, and then back home. They purchased Mountain Dance on 8-Track and we listened to that album all the time during the trip. They later purchased it on LP and then on CD and it was on regular rotation in the house for decades. My mom passed away unexpectedly a few months ago and we've been playing this album regularly while we organize the house and spend time there with my dad. I have very fond memories of this and it will never lose its luster to me. It helps me feel close to my mom. Dave Grusin is one of those artists/producers who is just brilliant. The man is amazing. Take a look at his bio sometime when you get a chance. It's fascinating to read about his life.
