Israeli air force carried out airstrikes on the Southern Gaza city of Rafah killing at least 22 including 16 children. The airstrikes come as Israel begins to increase its ground offensive towards Rafah. Israeli military says they have presented their war cabinet a blueprint of operations for Gaza. Meanwhile the US has threatened to sanction Israeli units that have been accused of human rights violations against Palestinians. The US Department of State is currently probing the Israeli unit Netzah Yehuda which has operated in the West Bank and Gaza. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he will protect his troops from any forms of sanctions.
