I had this, "Goin' South", "Rock This Way", "Spirit of the 70's", "Cool Rock", "Monsters of Rock", etc. all while growing up. While how we have access to music has changed since then, these CDs introduced me to bands and songs that were new to me (Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, Peter Frampton, Culture Club, Poison, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Boston and so many others); I played them all to death, and before that, I only listened to country! Now, I listen to a whole variety of music!
I remember seeing this commercial when I was 8 on probably Nickelodeon, and of course I wasn’t born when a lot of this music was done nor were my parents were into it, but I grew to like some of this hard rock music and listen to a lot of it today at age 29.
I'm 26, and had this CD when I was about 7 or 8, and loved it!! You see, I watched CMT all the time growing up, and as I got older, while still listening to country music, I expanded my horizons into other genres of music through these compilations they sold on TV; "Goin' South" was another that I got for Christmas many years ago; I loved it so much, I wore it out!!
I miss commercials likes these so much. With all the music downloading in this era they just don't get made anymore!

PS I know this CD is out of print, but I also can't seem to find it on eBay or Amazon, which is very scarce.
