Does the fuzz section use the same or similar circuit to the Wampler Velvet Fuzz? I was all set to buy that one until I saw this had EQ and a bonus Octaver feature.
I do not even like octave/fuzz pedals. The only one I use is on my line 6 DM4😊. However, you made this pedal sound tantalising. I may have to write different music that requires (or ckould use) an octave on the fuzz… “try one, buy one.” 🎸👨🏼⚕️🫶✌️♾️Cheers/ Slainte
Yep, that's Octave up fuzz in a nutshell. Not as clean or refined as a digital octave up but that's kind of the charm, it will always cut through! Thanks!
Hey Andy I saw your top 5 & I just ordered the tensor pedal. It’ll be my first looper pedal & was curious if you recommend it before or after my reverb pedal?
I'm not Andy but I own a tensor. I'd tell you it depends on how you use it. First off, if you bought it for the job of "looper" pedal you will be sorely disappointed. It only records about 4 seconds of audio into its buffer which is only enough for looping pretty short riffs. But if that's how you're using it (you should've just bought a Ditto) than put it AFTER your reverb at the very end of your chain. Ideally, the looping function in the tensor, imo, is better suited and recording samples and snippets which you then stretch and mangle into ethereal pads that you play over. In that case, put the reverb after. It's also really good AFTER a *dedicated* looper where you can feed loops into it and mess with the pitch, tape speed, etc. It also works up near the top of your chain (where you'd put a whammy pedal/pitch shifter) so you can use it as a "whammy"/octave pedal, make pads and samples and then feed that into your reverb and modulation. Hope that helps.
The "Tight" setting is never gonna work in a live situation, sucks so much mid presence out it's gonna be one with the wallpaper once it leaves the stage.
I love the picking style where Andy goes from using his fingers to seemingly using a pick (yet there is no pick to be found tucked away anywhere). Does anyone know what he is doing here? I assume he's just holding his fingers with no pick, yet it looks and sounds like there is a pick. How the...??? Sheesh!!
Wow the first minute sells this pedal.ive listened to this with headphones ,massive. Great demo Andydemos
You had me at "fuzzabilities" :-) Great demo, as per!
That sounded so damn excellent. Every great fuzz character in one box. Killing me Andy......and Brian Wampler....
At 2:08, that's a really great clean tone.
If Andy demos a pedal, you know it will be good.
Andy is an instant LIKE, no brainer here ;)
That 8-string Hagstrom!
Awesome tones!!!! That pedal does an excellent job of recreating those vintage fuzz and octave tones!!! Rock on 🤘🏽
How do you decide what’s gonna be a Reverb video and one of yours?
Thank you for the brief STP riff :)
Great to hear your backing tracks on Andydemos.. is is a massive pedal .Bass and guitar😎

Thanks Andy!
Great for a T Andy. " expand the fuzzabilities" andydemos
lol, that octave after fuzz sound was hilarious but also cool
Just curious Andy, are you still with Reverb? Loved your original setup with the Fender mic’d in the closet, etc.
Thanks
Absolutely, and I still uses the same recording setup as always. Thanks!

The Octaver sounds a little screechy and harsh when the fuzz is also on.

Imagine being so good people buy pedals you were paid to play. I’m jealous.
Reverb Black Friday sale, here I come!
Crazy bass
Really great control on that fuzz! great jam Andy!
Hey Andy- Who makes that gold top style guitar behind the shot of the pedal at 1:24? I gotta know!
His father made it, if I'm not mistaken. He's the man behind Redtail Guitars.
@@eDWICHt Thanks! I saw it in another video and have been trying to find out what it was ever since.
A comparison with some Z.Vexes would be nice

Thanks! I look at it more so as a sampler so then I’ll place it before reverb! It from what I’ve seen is a pedal in its own class!
BADASS!
Nice
4:24 - are the video and audio out of synch?
Stephen Lafferty yep
Nah, that's just a delay effect in FCPX ;) @@AndyDemos
Still love you andy
that smile, that damned smile 6:24
I scrolled down to add the same comment. He repeats the bend just to make it go again, like a kid on an awesome theme park ride.
Cool Hand!
What bass was that in the intro please?
Hagstrom 8-string reissue!
@@AndyDemos thank you, very cool bass.

Works for the op amp big muff...
OOF
Does is sound any different running at 18v?
Andy plays stoner rock I buy pedals. Simples!
Nice video, but now I know for sure how much I hate fuzz pedals. Thanks for the clarification!
Sounds muddy to me. No thanks.
