Best video ever! The fact that you did a visual walk through was so very helpful. I had been stumbling upon the question at 11:00 where it asked if you’ve visited before. I received an EVisa in 2020 but of course we all know what happened during the year of the pandemic. Your video showed that you can just select “no” and it won’t require you to enter the old EVisa number below. I wasn’t sure if I had to enter an old EVisa that I never got to use and long since expired due to Covid (I didn’t want to cause confusion or questions). I tried contacting their help desk but got different answers. Your video literally answered my question! Thank you!!!
You are great 👍🏻! I was so confused where and how to apply!!! now I am so happy to came across your clip. Bless you!😅 The only thing is bugging me is uploading photo in the right size and format they want with my iPhone!!

Good presentation. It CAN be as straightforward as you suggest but submitting a pdf of passport page less that 300kb caused me enormous difficulty and I am not alone looking online. If you are visiting a second time you are required to list all the places visited previously plus the address of first stop. You are also required to list all countries visited in last 10 years. If you save and come back to complete the application the question about whether you have grandparents with Pakistani connections always defaults back to ‘yes’. If the answer is no make sure you change it!
Hello. I agree with you that changing the size of the photo makes things complicated. It definitely did for me and I needed to ask for help. Thanks for sharing your experience regarding the granparents in Pakistan. ;-)
It does NOT defalt to "Yes," there is a pop-up that you must close then you can switch to "no," try another browser, you probably have pop-ups blocked--that locks you out as the system wants you to click OK on the darned pop-up.

Hey mate! Thanks for so useful video! Keep the good work! I have a question. Do you know if it's fine to have visa photo 50mm x 50mm and use it to upload for visas application to countries with requirements 35mm x 45mm? Does this simply mean that I have to have a minimum of 35mm x 45mm and it can be more or does it have to be exactly this size? Thanks for everything, cheers!
Just upload a higher size photo the system now have a cropping option just drag the cropping tool to it is full margin it will be adjusted and resized accordingly
Great info ..I have a couple of questions. I'm planning on spending 2 weeks in India then 30 days in Sri Lanka then another two days in India at the end of the trip. Should I get a 1 year visa so I can have multiple entries into the country? Does the visa start from the date you arrive in the country or the date of issue? MANY THANKS for your help :)
Even after watching your helpful video and gathering all the materials, this took me three hours and 20 minutes to fill out, upload, submit, and pay. SMH. There is conflicting/confusing info on the site about what size JPG photo it will a accept, and I guarantee you your PDF is too big. So be ready and be able to reduce it drastically! Also, Fun Fact: the payment site doesn't accept American Express (only Mastercard and Visa), and it won't accept a Virtual Credit card number. The quickest and easiest option is paying by PayPal. Lastly during the "April to June period" a 30 day Visa is only $10. I applied today April 1 for my trip in a couple weeks. But the way they have it worded, I have no idea if that means the $10 fee ends June 1 or June 30.
A virtual credit card is a digital version of a physical credit card. It exists solely online and doesn't have a physical form. Just like a regular credit card, it has a card number, expiration date, and CVV code.
Very helpful sir hower, when the application says "have you lived at least 2 years in the country where you are applying visa" does that mean the country where i reside? Or the country that i get the visa for?
Very simple way to fill up application, which is very helpful. Thanks for loading. I am from USA. My husband passed away, which marital status I should use, there is no widow option. please advise.
Thank you very much for this amazing video! I am in the process of surrendering my Indian passport while I got my Canadian passport last week. Do I need to wait for surrender certificate before applying for Indian tourist e-visa?
Thanks for the help! Is there a problem if the expected arrival date is little different than arriving? I want to apply visa first but dont have the plane tickets yet and not the exact date of arriving.
Very detailed! Thank you! Can you please tell me about how you showed the visa at the airport and how Indian authorities checked the visa after you landed?
super helpful man, thank you! I do have a couple of questions, where is says have you lived in the country your applying from for 2 years! Well i am Australian but I am applying while in bangladesh, should I click yes or no for that? secondly at the end you said you need to upload the photo and the bio page, what is the bio page?
I am planning to go to India on August, should I process now or wait later? Could you please suggest? Because maybe e-visa will be expire when I applied earlier. Should I count one more before I leave? I only want to stay 4 days tops. Thanks for the answer.
Hello thank you for this very helpful video! My evisa was rejected and has suggested to get a regular visa at the nearest embassy. Can i retry to get another evisa ? And how soon.
For the question have you lived 2 years in the country you’re applying for does this mean your country of nationality or the country you are currently in because I’m travelling right now in Malaysia but im from Canada so should I say yes because I was born in Canada or no because I’m only tourist in Malaysia
Hey, thanks for the info! Do I understand correctly that once the visa is granted and issued (roughly 72 hours post-submission) is when the visa time starts? Or does it start at the date that you declare you'll be arriving? Of course it would be ideal if it started at the date you declare you'll be arriving,.. because otherwise I'd want to push the application submission as close to the date of departure as possible (to gain as much time as possible to stay). This would even lead me to be hesitant to book the flight, you know? Who knows, maybe its rejected and you're out of luck with the cost of the flight and also your life plans have to change, etc.
We have applied Indian visa for one of our client and its been 7 days it is still showing 72 hrs processing time........ What should do i need to do now ? Please advise
Thank you so much for this helpful clip. When I fill the form to answer nationality section, since I am a US citizen, do I choose United states as my country or I choose my original born country?
AMAZING VIDEO, THANK YOU. Question my new US passport has the main info page, but the signature is on the page above it. Wondering if I should still just use the primary info page - no signature. Also - 300KB....so far my scans of the passport are much larger than that. Any ideas?
Great video! One question, if the visa application is rejected and I re-apply, how do I answer the question “has permission to visit India previously been refused?” Thanks.
Thanks! I applied for a 30 day visa for my Italian passport holder wife. We had noted intended date of arroval as 14th feb. We applied for the evisa on the 15th of Jan. They issued an evsa today with the ETA expiring on 15th feb! It does not make any sense. Why would they ask an intended date of arrival and then give a ETA which expires literally the next day of the travel! If there are any flight delays etc, she would likely be denied entry i think! Any thoughts?
Thank you so much for this video. However, when trying to select my expected date of arrival, I can only select a date within the next 30 days. Is this normal? I was under the assumption everyone applied for their visas well in advance. (I am trying to select the eTourist Visa for 30 days)
Thank you. If you are applying for a 30 day visa then you can only select a date within the next 30 days. This is because you can only apply upto 30 days before you travel. If you are applying for a one year visa you can apply 120 days in advance meaning you can input a date anytime within the next 120 days.
hi, very usefull, im going on a cruise in april 2024, as for the reference you put the hotel, ill be on a boat would you have any suggestions as to what i would put there. also can you apply in advance and have it not start until your arrival date
The earliest you can apply for a 30 days visa is 30 days before you travel. The 1 year visa allows you to apply upto 120 days before you travel but the date starts from the date the visa is issued.
Hello, what should I mark in the question “have you lived for at least two years in the country you are applying visa? I am Argentinian, living in Saudi for the last 10 months but at this right moment I am on vacation in Argentina, I will travel India from here and I will apply for the e visa from here
@@AlwaysonaJourney what about the “present address” and “permanent address” I am writing my Saudi address in the present address but it says the zipcode is incorrect even is correct. I tried many times! Present address should be my Saudi address even if I am applying from Argentina, right?
I would just use an address in Argentina as present and permanent address. That worked for me but I'm not an expert. If you're unsure, you could contact the helpdesk
@@AlwaysonaJourney thank you so much for answering, and the last one, do you think I should add the information of my Saudi resident id card on the “any other valid passport /identity certificate IC “ question?
Hi, I’m from the UK. I want to do a tourist visa for one year. I am going to India by Delhi airport. Can I exit by land instead of airport? If you know please answer me. Thank you

Hello, helpful video! I just applied for a 1 year visa for a relative, it was granted within a day. But she is questioning the fee, she was told by someone a visa should be £130? We payed via paypal, $40 which i guess equals around £30? Is that it for the payment process or have we missed something? Also, do you just print out the pdf which says the evisa was granted and take that to the airport? THANKS!
Hello and thanks for your video. Hope you can help: 1) for "e-Tourist Visa (30 days)", the validity would be 30 days from the date of your first arrival in India or from the date od grant of ETA? 2) I been to India 20years ago, not have that old Visa details..how should I complete the form where it asks for previous visas obtained?
Hello. You are correct. With a 30 day visa the validity starts on the day that you arrive in India. You will have a new passport now so it should be ok to answer with no. I did that.
Hi ! Thanks for the video. At the end when we have to upload the photo, do we have to uploaded ID picture and Passeport pages at the same time ? Thanks

Super useful video, thank you :) i have a question regarding reference in India section. I will travel by a cruise ship and the first stop will be Mumbai where I stay 2 days and next I go to Kochi by cruise as well. After Kochi I go to Thailand. Hi, I have a question. When I am check in on flight website. What I need to add in document number and expiry date. Because this e visa starts only after arrival in India. So, which expiry date I need to add. Thanks
@@AlwaysonaJourney is eta number is my visa number for India. Which I can enter in check-in details. My eta expires on 14 feb 2024. My flight is on 12. I will reach there on 13.
If appling for 30 day evisa it appears you can only apply 30 days in advance. It's October 11th and I will not arrive until Jan but thought I would apply now of cause giving my arrival date in Janruary. First page of application asks for arrival date but only five option up until 10th November. I tried to enter manually but not allowed.
Hi mate daft question - I applied for this and I've got the email to say that the evisa has been granted. I don't need to do anything else do I? Like take a print of the email or anything because it should all be digital right?
There's always a chance of technical issues with your phone (battery, network, etc.). A physical copy ensures you have a backup. Having a printed copy can speed up the immigration process. We printed it and show at the immigration officer along with our passport.
I found it informative. Thank you for the presentation. I am planning to go to India next month. My question is when you are at the port of arrival. What documents need to prepare to present to the officer there? Thank you for answering

I tried to see if someone else has asked the question and I couldn't find it in the comments. In the video you say that you do not have a hotel booked and then later you specify a hotel in the Reference Name. When you did it for real did you just pick a random hotel or did you actually have a hotel booked?
Thank you for the information. I just got one question. If i am leaving from my country on february 8th 2024 and arrive at Delhi on february 9th 2024 I should write february 9th 2024 when they ask expected date of arrival right? Or is it better for some reason to write february 8th? Will I get trouble on the aiport in my country for any of these?
Hi, I applied visa for my friend. We are travelling to india on February 2024. His evisa got granted and the expiry date is february 9 2024. But we reach india on February 10 2024 in the morning. When I was applying for the Visa, I uploaded my picture which was in very good quality. As soon as it was uploded on the page, it was blurry. And this was also what they reported me back, so the Visa was rejected. Is there any trick so that the picture and PDF of Passport remain in the same quality? Did somebody happen the same? Thank you
Hi sir my son is having british passport.we r going india on 22 October 2024 so when should i apply for his e visa .??? How many days before departure ahould i apply his tourist visa plz answer
Q5. When should I apply? Ans- (i) For e-Tourist Visa (01 year / 05 years), e-Business Visa, e-Medical, e-Medical Attendant and e-Conference visa, applicants of the eligible countries/territories may apply online minimum 4 days in advance of the date of arrival. Such application can be made 120 days in advance from proposed date of travel. (ii) For e-Tourist Visa (30 days) , applicants of the eligible countries/territories may apply online minimum 4 days in advance of the date of arrival. Such application can be made 30 days in advance from proposed date of travel.
Thanks for your video. It took me nearly 4 hours to complete. (Photo uploading issues as many have mentioned). Im a little concerned i never received a confirmation e mail and none of the referencea they gave me (id number) work when checking status of visa on line. 72 hours is a long time to wait if panicking. It said application complete and payment received so i gueas im just streasing? Anyone else not received e mail confirmation? Mine and my wifes are the same x
Thank you, so much. I went to the website to apply for a visa for my husband and it was a little confusing but this video guided me through. Believe it or not, preparing the document to upload took more time than the application itself. :) couldn't get a receipt from the website from I processed the payment though but my bank called to confirm the transaction. Let's see if I get the receipt in the next day or two.
@@AlwaysonaJourney I went to the website after 72 hours to check the status and the status said granted and it was a printable document. Not sure if they will mail that to us or since it is all electronically and is available when you check the status they figure you can print it.
You can apply for a 1 year evisa upto 120 days before your expected date of travel. You'll need an expected date of travel to input in your application.
Thanks for the very helpful video. I have a couple of questions. What happens if you don't know the port of arrival when you're filling out the form? Let's say that I put in Delhi but arrive in Chennai, will that be a problem? Similarly, I don't know the date of arrival yet. Will it be a problem if I arrive on a different date than the one I select? And finally, I'm applying with a US passport. Is that the same as the national ID number or not? Thanks in advance!
While it's ideal to know your port of arrival beforehand, if you're unsure, you can generally input a likely port (like Delhi) as a placeholder. It's unlikely to be a major issue if you end up arriving at a different one. Immigration officials will be able to adjust the information accordingly. Similarly, you can estimate your arrival date. If you need to change your plans, it's usually not a problem. The main thing is to ensure your visa is valid for the actual date of your arrival.
Thank you for the video. A quirky application portal, especially the strangely particular and completely different specs for the headshot (JPEG) and the passport page (PDF) files. Getting the passport PDF to under 300kb (it will NOT accept an upload even 1kb over 300kb) was grueling. My eventual solution on Mac: used Adobe Lightroom to edit, exported as JPEG first, setting maximum size to 290kb in export dialog box (where it can be set), opened that JPEG in Preview, exported as PDF (where max kb size can't be set). Couldn't get it under 300kb otherwise. So basically, get your JPEG under 300kb then export to PDF.
Quick question, is that enough for showing to migration? I have also the email in which i am going attend an event, do i have to demostrate it as well?
I just applied for the 1 year tourist visa and I see that people are getting their visas within 72 hours and I applied for mine 5 days ago and still no response from the government. Should I be worried that my visa is rejected? I don’t know what to do, I emailed them and they just said it’s still processing..
@@AlwaysonaJourney I just got my email, it was granted! Do I just take a ss and print it out before I travel? Also thank you posting this video, it helped me a lot to fill up my application
You don't necessarily need to book a hotel before applying for an Indian tourist visa. While some information sources may say it's mandatory, the official Indian visa application process doesn't require a confirmed booking. However, having proof of accommodation can strengthen your application. If you're unsure about your visa approval, consider booking a hotel with a free cancellation policy. Many hotels allow cancellations up to a day or two before arrival, minimizing risk.
Hi,I am travelling to kerala, goa in January for 2 months but I haven’t booked any accommodation as yet and may wait until I arrive before doing so,what should I put in the section that requires this information ? Tia
You only need to input the names of the places you plan to visit. When it says have you booked any hotels/ rooms through a tour operator you can answer no. ;-)
Hello, thank you for this informative video. I have tried various platforms like firefox, safari, my mobile phone and even started. afresh new application with the hopes that this would make a difference. 30 days seems like a tight timeframe in the event that something goes wrong, and especially in my case since I'll be traveling to other countries before entering India. Therefore, should I consider applying for the one year visa, solely because of the longer lead time?
Hello! My partner and I quit our jobs to travel. If we select unemployed for the section about your occupation, do you think we could just leave the rest of it blank/write NA??

Hi there! My flight to india has a connection in doha airport will i need any type of visa for that aswell or no? And does the visa start from the day issued or when you enter the country as im not sure when to book it for my trip starting from 23 july
If you apply for a 30 day visa it starts from the day you enter India. If you apply for a one year visa, it starts from the date that it's approved. A visa for a Doha airport connection depending on your layover duration and nationality. Here's what to consider: Qatar Airways Transit Visa: If you're flying with Qatar Airways and have a layover of at least 5 hours, you can apply for a free 96-hour (4 day) Qatar Transit Visa to explore Doha [Visit Qatar]. Short Layover: If your connection is shorter than 5 hours, you likely won't need a visa as you'll stay within the airport's international transit area. To be certain, check Qatar's visa requirements for your nationality
The part that confuses me is the upload photo section. I read somewhere that you are NOT allowed to take a picture of your passport and crop it and use that as the uploaded photo. When I had my U.S. passport photo taken I was given two 2x2 photo copies. One of which I sent to the passport office so they could put it on my passport and mail it back. The other 2x2 copy I still have and it is the exact same picture that’s on my passport. Can I use the same pic that’s on my passport for the photo upload? Also, does scanning the 2x2 photo automatically make it JPEG and the right KB size? Lastly, I have a small mole on my chin. Do I really need to put that as an identifier? 😂
In my case, I took a photo with my phone, edited it in Photoshop, and changed the background. Andrew did the same for his passport photo - he used his phone to take the picture and then edited it with Photoshop. To answer your question more generally, you can scan a photo and use it as a JPEG file. However, you'll likely need to edit it to meet the requirements, such as adjusting the background and resizing it to the specific pixel dimensions required for passport photos. Most photo editing software can handle these tasks. Lastly for you mole on your chin if you can see it on you photo you don't need to identify.
I'm visiting India for the first time from the UK in February for a month. Really useful info, thank you

Thank you. We are really looking forward to this trip. 😀
Thanks for sharing this information.
so what is the size of the pdf file please
I totally forgot, please check out in the vdo.
Sorry ..what do you mean by a virtual credit card number ?
A virtual credit card is a digital version of a physical credit card. It exists solely online and doesn't have a physical form. Just like a regular credit card, it has a card number, expiration date, and CVV code.
Very helpful sir hower, when the application says "have you lived at least 2 years in the country where you are applying visa" does that mean the country where i reside? Or the country that i get the visa for?
Thank you. It means the country where you live.
Very simple way to fill up application, which is very helpful. Thanks for loading. I am from USA. My husband passed away, which marital status I should use, there is no widow option. please advise.
Hello. I'm not certain but I think you could choose either single or married.

Well i am Australian but I am applying while in bangladesh, should I click yes or no for that? secondly at the end you said you need to upload the photo and the bio page, what is the bio page?
You can click yes. The bio page is the page with your photo, name and address etc.

I am planning to go to India on August, should I process now or wait later? Could you please suggest? Because maybe e-visa will be expire when I applied earlier. Should I count one more before I leave? I only want to stay 4 days tops. Thanks for the answer.
Hello. If your trip will be less than 30 days you will apply for a 30 day visa. The earliest you can apply is 30 days beofe your date of travel.
What university did you attend that offered courses on getting an indian visa? Was it a four or three year course?
;-) four years
Hello thank you for this very helpful video!
My evisa was rejected and has suggested to get a regular visa at the nearest embassy.
Can i retry to get another evisa ? And how soon.
to get the regular visa 1 or 2 weeks will be ok.
For the question have you lived 2 years in the country you’re applying for does this mean your country of nationality or the country you are currently in because I’m travelling right now in Malaysia but im from Canada so should I say yes because I was born in Canada or no because I’m only tourist in Malaysia
Yes, it means your country of nationality. I was in a similar position. I am from the UK and applied while I was in Thailand.
The 30 day visa starts from date of arrival. The 1-year via starts from the date of approval
Thanks ❤ I was about to comment the same@@AlwaysonaJourney

You could try to get the name of a manager from the boat and use that. With a 30 day visa your 30 days starts from the day you arrive in India.
I meant could I apply for it now, even though I don't travel till april
The earliest you can apply for a 30 days visa is 30 days before you travel. The 1 year visa allows you to apply upto 120 days before you travel but the date starts from the date the visa is issued.

What if I don't have an expected date of arrival? I want to get a 1-year e-visa but don't know when I'm going to travel. Is that a problem?
Hi, do I need to carry the application form as well ? Or just the printed Evisa?
Just the printed evisa.

As you could get a refusal ?
Great tutorial video
You don't necessarily need to book a hotel before applying for an Indian tourist visa. While some information sources may say it's mandatory, the official Indian visa application process doesn't require a confirmed booking.
However, having proof of accommodation can strengthen your application.
If you're unsure about your visa approval, consider booking a hotel with a free cancellation policy. Many hotels allow cancellations up to a day or two before arrival, minimizing risk.

How early can one apply for the E-Visa, i.e., how far ahead of the arrival in India?
For a 30 day visa, you can apply 30 days before you travel. For a one year visa, you can apply upto 120 days before you travel.
30 days seems like a tight timeframe in the event that something goes wrong, and especially in my case since I'll be traveling to other countries before entering India.
Therefore, should I consider applying for the one year visa, solely because of the longer lead time?
@@JohnMaxwell-mj6vs It's upto you. For me, I think 30 days is enough time as it usually takes less than 5 business days to process an application.

If you apply for a 30 day visa it starts from the day you enter India. If you apply for a one year visa, it starts from the date that it's approved.
A visa for a Doha airport connection depending on your layover duration and nationality. Here's what to consider:
Qatar Airways Transit Visa: If you're flying with Qatar Airways and have a layover of at least 5 hours, you can apply for a free 96-hour (4 day) Qatar Transit Visa to explore Doha [Visit Qatar].
Short Layover: If your connection is shorter than 5 hours, you likely won't need a visa as you'll stay within the airport's international transit area.
To be certain, check Qatar's visa requirements for your nationality
Am 60 years old and they want details for my father and mother, seriously??? 😢
I know. Both of my parents have already died but still needed to input their details.
3:00 confuses me a bit. On the website it says a plain or white background is ok. But when scroll down it says a white background is not ok.
I used a white background for my application.
