After coming back to earth from our introduction to this duo, we just blasted off once more as they came into the Fumez session and straight destroyed it! It was so moving, so powerful that it made Fumez spill his drink! This is a duo that is not to be messed with, they have the bars, the back-in-forth, the cadence and charisma to go blow for blow with anyone in this great culture! pete gives the backstory in the "making of" vid for this track, his granddaughter kept changing his car radio to the grime channel, he got bored of moving it back, started to listen and like it, and thought he would try it out. pete is the frontman and bas the spaz is the talent, he is a music teacher, plays piano and trumpet (which explains the breath control for the sick flows) and followed his father into being a bareknuckle boxer as a youngster

There's other interviews where they go into a little more detail, Pete's grandson and his friends helped them with finding their flows and learning more about the UK rap and Grime scene.

Car through the shop window relates to old gangs in the UK that did "Ram-raids" - you drive a car through the window of a shop in the middle of the night and steal the goods. Very prevalent in the 80s/90s in the UK. And Bas' car was rented (stolen) so he has no worries... haha these guys are insanely cold I love it.

I believe “Bas” is short for “Basil.” It is a name you hear every so often in the UK. If it matters to anyone.
I find it funny how every American first calls him "Bass" or "Baas" like rhyming with the UK pronunciation of "Mars". But yeah it's "Bazz", no hard feelings guys this is a wicked video, you caught almost half the rhymes and doubles which is very impressive. These bars have so many layers it's inhuman.

They've only been rapping for a few years, 5 tops... Their growth has been noticable from their first released video to this one. They continue to improve and have become quite good.

Pete and Bas have been fans of the rap genre for years. They generally write their own bars but they have their grandchildren modify the bars to make them more current. Kind of like they have ghost writers but you can tell there are too many old school references and slang words for all of it to be written by a young person.
