I think I liked the Brit distortion the best. When you had it at 12 o'clock at the start it seemed to cut through a bit more than the rest and seemed punchier. Great video Elmo!
Very Cool, Thankyou. Sounded great. I have a Flamma Drum Loop pedal same size as these. My first and only experience with Looper and it is a Cool pedal. Plenty of options. Cheers
The red distortion is a clone of the Fulltone OCD (v2 I think) and as a result makes a very good clean boost with the toggle on High Pass with gain at minimum while raising only the volume. And it looks like you got a faulty one. That's not normal haha
I have a few Flamma pedals that I picked up out of curiosity, and I think they're great. They're tiny enough to stick in a tote, and you can use them on the fly. I mainly have FX ones (verbs and trems, etc.). Like you, my main stuff is all expensive - but I don't know if that is strictly rational.
Besides Flamma (the FC05 Mini Mod, etc.), I picked up a Sonicake Octave Guitar Pedal;, a Stax Guitar Harmonizer, and a Fuzz; a Rowin "Trelicopter" Tremolo Pedal, ... among others, all of them in the same price range. I really like them, even though my main pedals include Strymon, Wampler, LHS, EH, Boss (although my DS-1 is almost that inexpensive!), Keeley, Friedman (the BE-OD pedal is ferocious!), et al. Maybe the simplicity and size (they seem like my old HO trains!) make them fun to use. But I have a room full of prime guitars, but I still love to play my budget ones, I think, just because they ARE budget (and because they are really nice!).
Thank you for this video. My favorites are the drive and the brit. 30 EUR each? Great! ... but each one is far less versatile than a more expansive gear. Is it worth bying 3 cheap pedals to get 3 sounds or one more expansive that can offer more 🤔?
Hola mi Amigo! I’ve reviewed around 30 low-end pedals of all types for Amazon, and most of them sound surprisingly good. Besides FLAMMA, I’ve had great experiences with AZOR, SONICAKE, EX, Pigtone, and GOKKO to name a few. The latter company also makes some really nice steel pedalboards in the $50-$70 range, which come complete with gig bags. I’ve got three of them, absolutely no complaints.
They sound great! Bummer about some of them being microphonic. Usually some kind of jack problem or bad surface mount component like a filter capacitor.
The distortion had me till you hit that noise ceiling, that was a bother, but that Brit distortion?!?! That was only just above half way and you had all that?!?! Let’s say it now, great playing as always, but you can get great tones out of less expensive gear, that being said, I may want one of those Brit drives, it sounded fairly good. and as you said, usin it at home, b.s. Ing around, it sounds pretty damn good! Thanks bro!
I have the black distortion. It's basically a micro pedal Turbo Rat clone. From what I understand, Brit Dist is a clone of a Japanese boutique Plexi voiced preamp pedal, the red Dist pedal is a Fulltone OCD Rev.3, and then the Drive pedal is probably a Boss SD-1w, but I could be wrong on that last one.
@@paulh1355 I don't own either one so I'm the wrong one to ask tbh. All I know is that the red Dist sounds more like an OCD than the abomination from Joyo lol. I love Joyo pedals, don't get me wrong, but their Ultimate Drive is pretty bad when the Kmise or Saphue clone of a clone of a clone sounds better.
I couldn't agree more! I hate when people are buying 2k-3k guitar+amp+cab and then use 30-50-100€ Transistor pedals to "improve" their tone. Really sad!
this are Mooer pedals in a new box... they are cheaper! the DRIVE is a TS, DIST is a OCD, BRIT DIST I think is a Blues Breaker, and BLACK DIDT is a RAT... The RAT is very good, I heve one!
Toss up between the Brit and the Drive. Seems like the EQ wasn't much on any of them. Overall, I think they al sounded like ok pedals, and like cheaper pedals. US cost is $29.95. Frankly I'd rather get a Boss pedal over these. I KNOW they will hold up, and imho sound better, for not much more money (and that's new).
Not very surprising that these things sound fairly good. They don't do magic, it's pretty simple electronics. Would be interesting to see a test "in the wilde".
you have a crunch, not a clean sound,,,,this make impossible to hear how many gain has each pedal,,,,or maybe to show with clean amp and then with crunch amp

"heres my clean sound". plays distorted. XD

Thanks!
Really liked the black one.
You can get them for $30 here in the states also . They sound pretty good . I think I like the Brit distortion best .
👍

They got the high and warm switch backwards on the drive. When you were in clean-boost mode it was way hairier in the high position.
Pretty good sounds. Great review. I'd love to hear some of your playing with an added oddball delay. Something a bit psychedelic

I'm pretty sure the same conglomerate that owns Mooer also owns Flamma, with the latter being their budget market targeted brand.

Cool bananas 👍

The drive is more like an Ibanez TS-10 i think

@@needsLITHIUM i'm not asking, just saying the overdrive is based on an Ibanez TS-10, not a Boss SD-1w
@@paulh1355 and I'm just saying I wouldn't know one way or another, so if you know, thanks for the info.
Thanks Elmo. Very interesting review. Nice sound come to drive.
Glad you enjoyed it
Black was best of the four in my opinion but all were acceptable. Pity I don't do pedals.

Looks like Elmo has been targeted by the 'telegram' youtube scammers again. Be careful folks!
Yeah, happens from time to time.

I’ve had good luck with flamma pedals. I really like the purple amp sim. Of course it’s already broken. Lol
😀
I have ENO pedals . Auto wah and distortion.
Cool
Sounds good
Which is more versatile? The flamma brit-dist or the flamma distortion?
Interesting!
For some reason I'm hearing the voice of Paul Stanley going "Ohhh Yeahhhh!", over these demo riffs... 💋🎸
🤣
Would any of these would be a good match to a micro dark?
Not very surprising that these things sound fairly good. They don't do magic, it's pretty simple electronics. Would be interesting to see a test "in the wilde".
Dude. How is that a clean sound?
Hi,are they analog or digital? Regards
you have a crunch, not a clean sound,,,,this make impossible to hear how many gain has each pedal,,,,or maybe to show with clean amp and then with crunch amp
But does the black come in pink?
Not to my knowledge.
What is the closest to Boss ds2?
Digitech Hot Head
Of course it helps if you're playing through a nice Marshall 😉
True that 😀
Worst clean sound
