I freaking love Cosmic Horror. I wish more movies like this were made. For those who don't know, the two guys traveling to the "death cult" wrote and directed this movie, and have done a few others including Synchronic, Resolution, Spring, etc.
Did the brothers get out or not, because the group restarts & I don't see them in it.

This movie is definitely a treasure! Made on a shoestring budget, it is well written and well-acted. Even if you watch this review I suggest you still watch the movie!

This movie is awesome! I strongly recommend watching it fully and make sure to watch the other two also (Resolution (2012) -> The Endless (2017) -> Synchronic (2019)). It's three movies in total which are all connected to each other. All of them are a pretty entertaining watch.

I thought when watching this at the end, when they went through the boundary, that their car would be the one that caused their parents accident. I kept waiting for that twist but it never happened!
That would have been a good, yet twisted twist.
This was my thought too!! I was so convinced that's what would happen when it didn't I got really confused!

The movie shown is completely different from the commentary.
So if you really think about it the group aren't some psychos they are heroes who are willing to entertain the entity forever so it doesn't bring chaos upon the whole world but then again they do like it there I guess so it's a win win

This movie is about a high school reunion when no one has changed. The sense of dread the protagonists feel is complacency in their own lives.
The rope scene is what made réalise that I know about this movie.

@@Sienisota This is the second in a trilogy. The first two (Resolution and The Endless) are more connected than Synchronic but nonetheless they are all set in the same universe and connected.

Excellent low budget sci Fi flick. Def made me feel a little different in big open nature areas, loke I was being watched
If you can retain earlier memories and stuff... then this is the source of endless experience and fun. I mean assuming the loop does not repeat itself on and on and on and all actions are done the same way... but the fact that these two left, returned and left again... would allow the loops to be different. Finally i could finish my tasks :D)
The catch is that you have to experience multiple horrible deaths in the middle of your tasks.
And also if you the entities don't like your story they will shorten the loop. @@zetaforever4953

Why would they have so much of a stigma in such a largely populated area? i have been searching for a similar movie like this that i saw back in the early 80's..i was a kid then..dnt know the name of the movie..from the little i can construct of the movie: once you make the mistake of answering the call from the "Phone booth" when it rings..you are not leaving the town..when you try to leave by force: a bright light from the sky like a shield will block ur path..you will have no other option than to stay back..
