  • We just got back from a Disney Cruise with our 3-year-old daughter, and this is what it was like. Disney Cruises have something to offer everyone, including toddlers! In this video, I'll share tips for planning a Disney Cruise with your little one. I'll also share some of our favorite toddler-friendly activities on board and also some things that weren't so great with our toddler.
Here are some of the things you might enjoy on a Disney Cruise with a toddler:
Character encounters: Your little one will have the opportunity to meet their favorite Disney characters throughout the cruise. There are character meet-and-greets, parades, and even character dining experiences.
Kid-friendly clubs: Disney Cruise Line has several kids' clubs that are perfect for toddlers. The Oceaneer Club is for children ages 3-12, and the Small World Nursery is for children ages 6 months to 3 years.
Splash areas and pools: There are several splash areas and pools on board Disney Cruise ships that are perfect for toddlers.

Thanks for sharing! It's nice to see another toddler family and how the cruise went. Looking at doing one with my almost 3 year old soon!

Two nights? Way too short - you need at least 4. Didn’t even know Disney offered two-night cruises.

Yeah, they alternate this with five night cruises to Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas

Hi Chris. Thanks for the wonderful video. It's wonderful that they have so many activities to occupy a toddler and that you can reserve those special areas that can watch your toddler while the parents can get some time together. I was surprised to heat that the food wasn't what you expected. I guess it's hard when you have to serve so many people at one time. Seems like you and OC girl had a great time with the Travelling Princess on Disney cruise. Thanks for sharing and take care.

Great video, lots of good info. The Princess looks adorable, love your yellow Mickey t-shirt. Sorry to hear the food was disappointing.
    Thanks Chris

Loved seeing the review of the Disney Cruise, definitely looks like fun especially for little kids, such a dream!! regarding the food situation, I feel like other cruise lines are truly better, like Holland America Line and Princess Cruises are sort of more high-end companies in general, so the food met that standard and even above and beyond, so I hope that doesn't discourage anyone who was disappointed with Disney's food!! I've heard many people say the same with Disney food since it's such a high expectation

Super glad you got to experience a cruise, that’s definitely a good warmer upper cruise, I would be very interested to hear your review in contrast with one of the new large ships like a Royal Caribbean or Celebrity

I would recommend trying Royal Caribbean cruise line. No characters, but fantastic kid's programs. Tons of things for kids to do on the ships. Disney looks like a good cruise, but they are very expensive.

great video. I love cruises, but more for the views and and being on the ocean, rather than shows and entertainment at dinner.. royal caribbean and celebrity are my preference

Interesting. My kids are all older and we have done many Disney cruises however, never out of California even though we live here. LOL... We enjoy the Florida cruises because you get to go to the private island which is awesome. As the kids got older, we found late dinner better because we would feed them by the pool deck first for dinner around 5:30 pm and then, go to the show and then, drop off the kids at the club and then, parents go to dinner alone. I really like Palo the adult only restaurant. But as we get older, we want the earlier dinner. Eating late isn't always the best. But we did like dinner late when in port later, etc. Off to watch the other videos

I love a cruise but I've always seen the Disney Ones as waaayyy more expensive. Normally we go NCL and book from the UK all its all inclusive..... inc drinks!

I haven’t tried a Disney cruise, but I’ve found that food quality has definitely declined on cruise lines overall since the pandemic. That and the staffing issues on other lines has led me to take a break from cruising for at least a couple years.

Look for the sleepwalking Goofy. Goofy is so cute in his pajamas. For the room service, please don't tip them cash because they will also add the tips to your signed receipt It has happened to me before.

Didn’t realize they’re running two-nighters to Ensenada…we took a three nighter to Ensenada in December on Wonder last year and disappointingly found the port experience in San Diego to be the worst one we’ve experienced…far worse than Seattle and New Jersey and even worse than Los Angeles (which is pretty bad!)

Not on our cruise.. just the classic Disney Characters.. Mikey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie, etc. Maybe because we had a short 2 night cruise they only brought out a few costumes

Thank you for your review. I’m really disappointed with the food reviews. I know pre Covid the food on the Disney was reported to be incredible. From my experience on cruise lines in general, the food has been going downhill. It’s a real shame because the food on cruise lines used to be absolutely incredible.

Hi Chris! The toddler magicbands actually cost around $12 if they aren’t returned :). They aren’t real magicband+ and they only act as an alarm if the kids leave the kids areas unaccompanied.

Legit question why even bring kids if you’re just gonna leave them at the daycare for like 80% of the trip?

Legit answer -- she loves the kids clubs.. so it's a great and unique experience for her. And.. we can't leave her home by herself 😀

So stupid they have kids event after 8pm when most young kids bedtime are earlier. Hard pass. The daycare should be included.
