Finally, someone who doesn't show off unrealistic numbers. This is what people dont see as the majority of youtube creators make. Like well over 90% of creators, but the viral "how much I make with yt in a month" so unrealistic and makes people believe you can achieve it. As a reference, as a channel with 11k subs, I make about 150-200 a month on adsense on youtube. Not the crazy thousands that these big youtubers publish.
Well done! A couple years ago I did a bunch of searching and found that very very very few channels actually earn any money. RUclips is about friendships and learning skills. , Congratulations and keep recording!
Yep, I believe it's a way to show yourself as well. And make money from affiliate marketing, from sponsorships etc. Adsense won't make you a living wage.
Thank you for sharing this and making this video. I would be so happy if my monetization (I’m far from that yet) be enough to cover my cost of supplies for my 3D printer. That would be a glorious win.
Thank you, very informative! I've just started a channel and mainly use my mobile phone which I duct tape on the windscreen, side and even back window. Nothing fancy..sceneries while Im on the road driving, my usual route. Im not a "serious" RUclipsr. And its fun! So good luck to you👍!
A really informative video as a new creator myself. While at this point I know the does and donts of youtube at this point its good to see someone's youtube experience as a beginner in full. Got me to look at your other content as well, great work!
Thanks for recording, editing, and posting! We all know it takes time to make good content to share. It's nice to see that things speed up a little as you continue, in terms of the subscribers at least. Also amazing to see your revenue increase in February!
Nice video with a very realistic perspective and no BS. I just started my YT channel and I instantly turn off any videos that say "You can earn £2k per week on YT by reposting blah blah blah!" It's nice to watch this and know that, if after 6 months/12 months I'm only making a cent or two, well that's normal. Thanks for this.
Hi, thanks for the tips, especially about the fact that you wished to learn more about videography itself, that is really useful advice. And also that if a video has more views people are more likely to watch them, that is really interesting point. Congrats and keep it up! 😃
The reason you are seeing some of your better videos have less views is probably because youtube hasn't suggested those to viewers yet or people haven't been searching for those specific videos.
This was very interesting! I'm planning to move to Barcelona within two years, and your channel is literally the only one with some real substance, all those Americans with cheap 2000$ apartments in Barcelona are just so annoying to watch 😅 so thank you for doing it! ❤
Thanks for giving me the idea of creating a "What it's like to live in New Zealand" video. TubeBuddy tells me it will rank well 🤞 Very interesting that you gained well over 4000 watch hours before getting 1000 subscribers. For me it's the other way around... getting those watch hours is not easy! Finally reached the 1k subscriber milestone in September last year, however. That's something! Well done with your channel's fast rapid growth 😊 Haven't finished watching your whole video yet so I'll probably add another comment to this shortly 😋. What I will already say is that I don't think it's necessary to hide your older Vlogs. It's nice for you and viewers to see how far you have come! They may also bring in new subscribers. Totally up to you of course!
That was fun, tHanks for the video. I was more interested in your thoughts and reflections on what took place and how it changed your ideas for tomorrow.
Well done! You're doing better than me. Continue creating videos don't loose monentum. My story is very similar to yours. So far £20/$39 aprox. in 3 months 😂
Love your video man and keep up the hard work… I would love to ask what’s the name and where you get the flickering background you placed at the back of your recorded screen, cause i end up screen recording my computer and forgot to make the resolution thesame as my camera and unfortunately ended up with those black borders on the sides which i’m not really a can of?
Thanks man , appreciate it ! I assume you mean blurry background behind the screen recording ? You can either use freezed frame or screengrab to use below, and then use blur effect , then put your screen recording on top and you should have that. I used freeze frame in Davinci resolve to have similar colours blurred out.
Nice video. I started in Nov. 23 and it has been a bit quicker, maybe because a clear idea of what to do. Admittedly I had been planning for about 2 years. I have monetized but haven't received my pin number yet!! How long di it take for you to receive yours? Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. I don’t know why but your video came in front of me on my homepage while I was scrolling. It means RUclips suggested this video to me. Yes, we are on a similar page in terms of subscribers. I noticed one thing in your videos and that is about your thumbnails. Please try to trigger curiosity in your thumbnails and write some text. You can conduct research about your thumbnails. Videos with the thumbnails text on them are performing better than the video thumbnails with your own pictures saying nothing. I might be wrong, but this is what I have noticed.
Hey, thanks for a tip. I see what you mean and you're definitely right that the ones with the text perform better. At the moment I am still trying things out and improving the thumbnails to land on the style I want, in a lot of cases it's probably not the most performant but it's definitely work in progress to find my own style :)
@@PauliusCreates yes of course you can have your own style, but if you ask me why I clicked your video and watched it completely, probably that is your title not your thumbnail. This video thumbnail with some dollars and a RUclips growth graph with your head photo could perform much better. That is just opinion and only you know how to brand yourself. I suggest as a viewer. Considering the thumbnail of this video, i could have never clicked this video. I clicked because of the title and so many people don’t read titles but just see a thumbnail and watch videos.
Hi, I would like to ask you some information. When you publish your video on RUclips, which category do you put before publishing it, given that you do lifestyle vlogging or daily vlog? Thanks and in any case congratulations for your videos, they are beautiful..
Thank you ! Category I select depends on the video, but for the most part it's Travel and Events. From what i've seen people say that it's a legacy option though and doesn't impact audience it will reach. Hope it helps !
RUclips normally would notify you if you do , not sure if there is exact tab to check it. Also if its on a specific video you would see the monetisation icon change
Hey Paulius, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your highly engaging videos and thumbnails which will help your video to reach to a wider audience and increase your subscribers and viewers.
alright, i dont have any adsense account yet i think, can i create it after i become monotized or do i have to do it before i even start my youtube channel?@@PauliusCreates
Your comment though about people only clicking on vids with high view counts, I disagree with. Your vid on “what it’s like to live in Barcelona” when uploaded started with 0 views, but people still clicked on it. So that already proves your point incorrect. People were clicking on it when it had low view counts. And today, it’s not still getting traction because it has a high view count; it’s getting traction because it has a good title and thumbnail. People want to watch it for the information it’s providing. Maybe the vids that aren’t getting clicks isn’t because they have a low view count, but because they’re not titled well, or the subject of that video just doesn’t appeal to your audience. Just because a video may be full of great advice, filmed better, edited better is irrelevant. No one know that, if they don’t click on it in the first place. And if the title/subject matter isn’t something they want to watch, then they won’t be clicking. Too many RUclipsrs put blame on either the “algorithm” or their audience, for not clicking. But what they should be doing, is maybe taking blame themselves. Actually stepping back, and looking at how they’ve packaged these low viewed vids, and asking why aren’t they getting views? Be analytical about them. Think how you could have packaged them differently.
You're right in saying that title and thumbnail are extremely important, but I don't think number of views should be completely disregarded. I think it impacts viewers perception of how valuable is the video. It's hard to evaluate it though, there is no metric describing "viewers perception" of the video.
legend, you earned yourself a subscriber :)
Appreciate it! And welcome :)
