Imagine! I am an Indian living in India, watching Mr.Gupta - another Indian living in India - on a YT channel recorded in Pakistan that Mr.Gupta addressed via video-conference . Thank you Prof. Hoodbhoy. Thank you 'The Black Hole'.Thank you technology for shrinking the world into a global village.
as an indian, finding about this gem of an indian educator through a Pakistani program is amazing to me. this is the world we need to normalise.
Being from India, I had Never heard of this wonderful Science evangelist !!
Thanks to Pakistani Professor for introducing us to this hero !
He’s come on tv many times 😊
Arvind ji is a brilliant creative and humble teacher...we in India are lucky to have many such selfless educators!! Respect 🙏 🇮🇳
Never heard of him,I only get Neil degrass Tyson in my feed.
@@pradhyudh Boy, you are really living under a rock. I've known about him for quite many years. Do you know about PhysicsWallah? There are lot others too
Do you know about Yash Pal, who run a regular science education program on Doordarshan? He is an MIT alma matter. He inspired lot of young children to pick up science and engineering. He used to answer questions by children on TV. I was inspired by him. Now I am doing a PhD in Applied Math at Courant Institute.
The response tells pakistan idea of science
This man is personified in the Oscar Wilde quote
“We are all in the gutter,
But some of us are looking at the stars”
It's been an amazing session..
Watching from IIT Delhi ...
i am indian and i did not know this legend. kash 10 saal pehle mil jata
I have met arvind gupta ji when I was in school, what a great guy
So this is what it looks like when you do something you're passionate about! I'm a Pakistani and I'm very inspired and grateful to Mr Arvind!!!
Great scholar is Arvindji. Had bought his book from his stall in 1987 Indian Science Congress which was held in Pune University Campus. I 17 yrs had taken my younger brother 11 years there. We saw all the stalls till our legs were aching. Very satisfied and awed by Arvindji then. Thank you Parvezbhai for bringing him. I think Pakistan can hugely benefit from his ideas.
Very welcome episode. When it is Science or Technology the audience is minimum but when the subject is Politics or related it gets crowded in Pakistan. The exact opposite is true in Bharat 🇮🇳
Arvindji is the pride of India. Thank you so much sir ❤❤❤
Been lucky to attend his sessions during my school days
One of the best talks on The Black Hole. A worth 1 hr and 40 minutes of Saturday afternoon spent. The 2 minutes from @31:30 just gave me goosebumps. This concept should go deep into the entire humanity's senses and we can all live in peace for ever.
What a inspirational man..Hats off to Mr Arvind 👏👏
This man best exemplifies what Oscar Wilde said
We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.
Got to know of Arvind Gupta during my second year of engineering in 1990. He is the person who published the book Totto Chan in India.
Great . will be a memorable program forever
Just give it a like people... ☃️so that RUclips recommends it to many people. 🙏
Fantastic program 👏👏👏
I think this is one talk that is in total alignment with the objectives of The Black Hole.
My sister is a chemistry professor, she teaches chemistry using kitchen articles , articles available in common place, also biology using plants from our gardens. She does what Guptaji is doing. She visits different villages and teaches kids in casual manner with the same enthusiasm of gupta ji.
I saw his program on toys way back in late 80s on Doordarshan (the then official & only TV channel of Govt. of India). Even after 30-35 years his energy is same.
One of the best guests invited on the Black hole! Good job the Black hole for bringing inspiring people on your platform.
Sir, Arvid Gupta is greatest teacher, we must have his expertise used in our country.❤❤❤
Thank you so much Sir. Dr.Hoodbhoy.
In k video national TV pe ate the mere bachapan me ..DD NATIONAL ye tbhi se muze yad hai🇮🇳👍🌞
Absolutely amazing guy! A legend. A throwback to a period when social conscience dictated people's life choices. Thanks Black Hole for having him!
arvindji is right when he says many students find theory boring and uninspiring. But when they are involved in hands on experiments then they get motivated to find more and end up going into theory. This is my own experience.

Long live unity
Thank you so much Sir Perveez for providing us with such intellectuals🎉
One of the best talks I have heard in a long time. It was well past my bed time, but I was riveted to my screen. I agree, let the kids mess around, later they will ask themselves how did this work. Same with paper designs. Some day these kids will grow up and bring new designs to automobiles, drones and dwellings. Ive shared this video with all my friends. Thank you.
I,m enjoying from IIT Patna ❤
Thank you Pervez ji.I am an Indian but was unaware of such a gem of us
Amazing.
Thank you TBH for introducing us with so many great ideas.
What a teacher! My salute to him. I'm an Indian and i feel proud to have such teachers in India.
Teaching is an art. It is NOT about mugging up what is written in books. It is about igniting curiosity in children. Once ignited, it will remain with them forever. Leave the rest to them. They will on their own learn to study from books. Of course, they must have access to good books (not Islamic physics or Islamic biology).
We don't have to teach children to make scientists out of them. We need to teach science to our children to make life easier and more meaningful for them. The experiments Arvindji showed for blind children brought tears to my eyes. This is real teaching. Children will become scientists if they have it in them. What a primary teacher does for society is far more important than what a teacher of higher studies does. This is why a Guru is so revered in Indian society. 🙏
The joy of imparting knowledge is the greatest joy in the world!
At the same time, there is nothing worse than a bad teacher brainwashing young minds! Something that is done in madrassas.
Thanks for introducing Arvind ji to us Indians. I didn't know about him and his work. Respect for him.
2 scientists meet and an amazing session is born.
Thank you, Prof Hoodbhoy and Prof Gupta.
It will be great to see many more of such sessions where great minds interact across the border.
One of the most outstanding lectures - teachers are the pillars of social progress
Thank you, Prof Parvez Sir.
I heard one lecture of Arvind ji at my location. He is great teacher who influenced many children towards science.
Thank you Dr Hoodbhoy.
One of the best presentation that I have seen. Thank you Mr. Gupta and Dr. Hoodbhoy.
Pakistanis getting first hand experience of knowledge of IIT ( & only tip of iceberg 😂😂)
Greetings to Professor Gupta !!
Arvind ji - Such a gem 💎 of a person 🙏🇮🇳.
Wonderful! Actually each toy was a surprise for me too. ( I am an engineering graduate of 1971 running 75th year of my life).
We in India have one teacher like Sir Arvind Gupta Ji in our school or around and that has propelled our scientific bend and ethos. Education here has more weight than religion, religion is a personal space and not an obsession. Hence you see India progressing even though we also come across bad people (certain black sheep)in our society.
By the way, Sir is Guptaji from Uttar Pradesh (North India around Delhi - Urdu's birthplace). Imposing Urdu as the national language in West Pakistan and East Pakistan was detrimental then and its effects still continue.
In India, most people speak their mother tongue, English and Hindi (but Hindi is not our national language), another key reason why India's diversity and unity shines through.
Sadly, Pakistan is too religious and that overtime has eroded the concept of blending with other communities. *Black Hole* is a good start but you will need many similar initiatives to overhaul the fundamentalist devil fabric akin to oxygen in your society. Probably, one or two generations more to correct the mistake. I sincerely hope the good ones succeed.
Arvind Gupta Sir was the first teacher who has given digital education on Indian National TV in a simple and practical way and also made us understood that bhai religion aur science ko alag alag rakho. Pakistani are lucky to have him on Black Hole.
i am amazed this only possible by dr parvez .thank you you know i couldn't leave this telecast until it ends.thank you sir
Holy! I've been following him since last 10 years. He inspired millions, just like me to take up science. I am in Applied Math PhD program right now because of this man. There are lot of professors from IIT Kanpur that are truly awe inspiring - HC Verma, Ajoy Ghatak (I think he is in IIT Delhi right now) and many more.
This so Fascinating! As a Granny With 2 small grandsons, he has given me ideas for making them think!🙏🏼👏👌Arwind Gupta is a born teacher. A boiling Pot of ideas!👛
Mr Arvind Gupta is not only A good SCIENCE DAN but also a good teacher and marketing man.
Well done Arvind!!!
Wow... it is always pleasure to listen to Arvind ji.... ... very inspiring.... creative.... and great knowledgeable and fine human being... We in our family has learnt a lot from his science toys ... God Bless...
Cerebral champagne. I discovered Arvind Gupta many years ago on the internet. Am so happy to listen to him on The Black Hole. Such programs will bring our nations together. Fundamentalists on both sides of the border should watch this program. It will teach them many a lesson.
WOWWW!!!
What a brilliant session it was and how lovely this person is .... just amazing and so inspired by him.
I wish I had seen his videos in my school time
Loved this program... It is people like him that India is progressing Kudos to you 👏 🙌 👍 😀
One of the best program to see. I could easily relate a lot of these toys i used to make in my childhood ❤❤❤
What a brilliant teacher & science enthusiast Mr. Arvind Gupta is. If we were also taught in this practical manner it definitely would have sparked more scientific interest in us rather than the frustration so many felt while during classes.
As someone has rightly said, we should spend more time on science, maths and literature instead of spending time showing that 5000 years ago our ancestors did science, mathematics and literature.
Student of IIT M here, thoroughly enjoyed this lecture, thanks for sharing 🎉
Arvind ji u r doing great service to us,there is an old saying,if u tell me i might fotget,if u show me in might learn but if u let me join u ,i will understand, this is exactly what u r doing, let them join u and for sure they will understand how the things are working, thanks sir,
A fantastic presentation on Fun with Science by an Indian has attendance of mere 15 in person. Whereas, topics associated with religion and politics related with India will have 100s lining up.
Enjoyed every single moment of the session.
Marvelous ingenuity. Excellent way to inculcate scientific spirit among children.
India's youths is a biggest treasure of talent and shining future of India. No any doubt that this century of India
Great subject. Appreciated from India.
@0.35 very low attendance in the hall shows the real problem of Pakistan 🇵🇰 🕌 🐫. If it would have been a propaganda against India 🇮🇳 hall would have been full.
I am watching from Kharadi Pune.
Amazing lecture ….I am shocked and inspired …fantastic
Thanks TBH for this wonderful session.

Thank you Black Hole. Enjoyed very much.
Proud of sir from India ❤
Very interesting for kids.

Amazing learning !!
Happy to see the trend at Blackhole has changed. We need more of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, less of history, politics, journalism, existentialism. More of capitalism, less of socialism. Without the masala, your local viewership will decline, but you will have done your nation a great service. Please and thank you.
