Man I love this song. Trying to get the picking pattern and slowly putting it together. I have probably 30 of his albums. (vinyl, tapes, cds) Now buying some cd's that I had on vinyl so I can put them on my phone. Huge huge fan of this guy.
I remember like it was yesterday the day I first heard this song; I picked up the album ('Stealing Fire') on a trip to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This was the opening track, and as soon as I heard it I thought, 'That's going to be a radio hit'. But over the years I've come to much prefer the solo guitar version Bruce does live over the version with full band on the record.
This is the best version of this song I have ever heard! I wish it didn't cut off so abruptly at the end, though. That guitar deserves to resonate.
Good job, still sounds great and the poetry classical that remains as valid today.
Bruce is amazing.
Brilliant singer/songwriter!
Such an under rated guitarist

Like fine wine, some songs just get better with age.
