The future for Melissa is going to be phenomenal. I truly believe we are witnessing the beginnings of a MAJOR solo singing career. Her years of apprenticeship singing behind truly great singers is an education that cannot be matched. And she IS magical!
2:26-2:35 were unbelievable, and I remember when she hit those notes on the live show, I cheered for her, it was the greatest feeling ever, shes incredible, and cant wait for her album.
For me, Melinda Doolittle was different to any other contestant that has so far appeared on American Idol. Not only does she have a Sweet Voice and Magical Delivery... she is the "Finished" Pro. All others have had Potential only. And whilst most are finding it difficult to live up to that potential, I feel, like a good wine, Melinda is going to mature even more as time goes by...!!

I usually like Melinda's live version's better than her studio versions because her energy level is so high when she sings live. This studio version is amazing though. I like the slightly slower tempo better than the live version. She is incredible.
LOVE her version. this did not get the praise it deserved the other nite. favorite moment is that sweet and smooth 'yeah' at 2:16 i love that for some reason
