Impressive groups. Bought a Ruger M77 in 1975 in 22-250, and I settled on 50 gr Nosler spire points. Shot hundreds of varminst of all types for over 30 years. I basically shot the barrel rifling out of it. 12X Leopold still good after setting in trucks, sun and racks for nearly 5o years!
I've taken at least 20 antelope with my 22 250. Absolutely love it. And one elk with a head shot at 100 yards. It about took it's head off. Don't recommend it but you use what you have.
I have a 22 250 Ruger Mark II it's a real shooter also! Very accurate! I take it white tail hunting down here in South Texas every year. I shoot my first deer of season with it. I've never had a problem knocking down a deer with that rifle! Have fun with yours. They're fantastic!
I’m not sure if there is a difference, or if it’s just a new box design, but I’ve taken a few deer with the old Remington premier accutip 22-250 50 grain. Stuff is very accurate. This ammo is great for head shots, so you don’t damage any meat. Furthest I’ve harvested was 125 yards.
40 years ago I had a Remington 700 ADL in 22-250 I took a couple of good corn fed whitetails but really liked it for coyote and fox and ocationally went to the center of the state to hunt the prairie puppy. The bullet was so fast that you could find most of the little varment parts scattered 30 to 40 feet behind where the were sitting. Lots of fun to shoot and real light recoil ment you could sit for hours competing against a 243 Winchester and a 6mm Remington, all good garment to deer sized game rifles.
Yes the. 22-250 is much, much more than a .223 . Over 4000fps equals a very flat trajectory. Reaches shoot n see targets out at 300 yards instantly, no waiting for the bullet to impact.
I've seen some at Scheels but maybe one or two boxes compared to 223/556 with hundreds and hundreds to thousands of rounds. 223 not deer legal 22-250 is.
Sweet rig for sure and yes perfect for white tail cva are awesome that buffalo was out before he hit the ground I saw a cva scout chambered in 500 s&w mag not really a fan until it was hitting 6in group at 600 yds and the variety of ammo 280grain up to 700 grain solid copper hard cast deep hollow lead so many options might be my next big bang go cva👍👍
My best shot in the field ever was with a 22-250 in a Model 700 Varmint bull barrel--took a crow out at 300 yards as if it was a 50 yard shot. The crow was sitting at the top of a tree--luckily I had witnesses.. Tremendous shell! Thnx for all your videos--best of youtube!
It was over 2 years before I could find any ammo for mine. Now it's back and I've picked up 45 to 55gr boxes. Saw a 60gr box but didn't get it b/c it was more than $2 round. But I took mine out 2 weeks ago. What a straight shooting round.
Great video!!! I sure hope soon that Remington starts back in selling components, especially primers. I like their brass and there old powerlokt hollow points. They were cheap, accurate and did a number on ground hogs. Unique that they had a concave base. Today's tipped bullets are hard to beat. Once again, great video. I tap on the adjust dial lightly after I click it. Loaded a lot of 22-250 when I had my license. Loved the round but went with a Swifter. Might just get one someday
Here one like speedy Gonzaga has plenty of buggy on it. One great little round that’s accurate and hit hard for its size. Thanks WTW for sharing your bing bangs and boo lots. 💪🏽🎥💯👍🙏🏻
The crazy thing is is I pulled out the Lee reloading manual edition number two and compared 22 250 to 223 Remington with a 55 grain load you ought to look at the numbers it was enlightening to me.!
I don’t know the last time I bought a box of factory cartridges. I reload everything. 22-250 will kill a deer but this bullet isn’t designed for deer hunting. My experience is that the bullet doesn’t have enough penetration. Use a bonded bullet if you plan on shooting deer.

if you can only shoot 3 to 6 rounds and your barrel is too hot to shoot, the metal the barrel is made out of junk . I have a 7mm remminnton I sat and shot 76 rounds, even out to 1000 yards for a few hours and it held grouping very well. I really like that c.v.a rifle very nice

Well good sir, no buck for me this year. I put 5 days in and hiked some 40 miles in area 71 in Idaho. It was very thin this year. Out of 8 other hunters I talked to, Olney one was successful. The local fish and wildlife biologist claims it was the heat. No luck... however.... I limited out on grouse and got an absolute trophy blue grouse and a duck. Plenty of sharp tail around as well. So not for nothing but I wish I could have at least had opportunity.
That is a nice rig and a great shooter. Awesome groups! I heard you say the Cascade was your favorite rifle. I haven't looked but do you have a video talking about your various rifles and why you like the Cascade the best? It would be interesting to get your perspective.
Pro tip, you can sight in with 2 shots. Aim dead center and shoot. Then since your rifle is in the lead sled. Making sure it doesn’t wiggle around. Turn the turrets on your scope till the crosshairs line up dead on your first shot. Your second shot will go where you want it to.
Hey there buddy I seen your from Tennessee I actually live in Tennessee myself and I was wondering if you might know where I could find a nice leather holster with a thumb break for a officer size 1911.

When I was a kid, dad shot 3 Ohio deer in under 10 seconds with a Remington 22-250. He thought he was missing as he shot at a single deer, when in fact they were dropping and another one jumped up and ran. He followed the blood trail to the 1st and realized there was more, found the 2nd and then the3rd.
I wish swift would make a 70 grain a frame in 224. Because varmint ammo makes me nervous for deer. My friend son killed his first feet with 22-250 Ackley. Using 77 lrx from barnes
Bit on deer hunting with the 22-250. Here in Canada you can not legally hunt deer with a .22 caliber, whether it be a .22 short or a 22-250. It's capable but there are definitely some considerations. First, the "hype" behind the idea comes from folks using a .22LR to poach deer due to how quiet they are. Obviously with a 22-LR you are basically limited to a head shot, and unfortunately this idea transfers to when the poacher picks up a heavier rifle. Between these unethical practices and poor marksmanship skills I have seen several deer that had been hit in the bottom jaw, literally blowing it off or leaving it hanging by some strands off the side. Next issue for deer hunting.. look at Hornady's current ammunition selection in the chambering.. they no longer sell any of the bonded or solid type bullets in pre made ammo, only grenadeing polymer tips, terrible if you hit a shoulder or a rib. They like to market the "wow factor" of stuff blowing up to sell to the kids but its terrible for meat or fur. I've hit coyotes in the shoulder with those 50 grain polymer tips and had it ruin the pelt and grenade, especially at sub 100 yard range and that's substantially thinner bone. Would look into hornady's new ECX bullet if you can hand load, its the only one in .22 chambering they rate for medium size game. Maybe Barnes TSX but those are long bullets and extremely hard to stabilize depending on the twist rate of that cascade, either one should give you enough penetration to get the job done. Good luck with your hunt!

In Oklahoma the bullet weight has to be 55gr or heavier to hunt deer with 22-250
TN just has to be centerfire
