The over the rainbow reference is a hint at ROY G BIV, which is commonly how elementary school kids in the US are taught to easily remember the order that colors appear in a rainbow.
Once again we are eye to eye on another awesome horror series !! I used to watch this and 3 a lot but 2 3 and 4 are a nice story arc in the saw world. I can’t wait to check your review for 6.
Over the rainbow is referring to the order of the colors as they appear in the rainbow, often learned as ROY G BIV Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet
Sinister Cinema Reviews I was taught that in middle school I think but yeah, to dangle numerous people's lives on knowing that bit of trivia is a stretch. Although I have to say remembering that ROY G BIV bit makes it really easy to retain the info.
This series is also my favorite horror franchise as a whole. I'm watching them with my girlfriend for the first time now and she's loving it. I've had these videos of yours saved in my Watch Later playlist since the days you posted them last year, so I'm happy I'm finally getting to watch them. Great content as always!
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 she's loving em! Just finished #3 tonight, blew her mind. Can't wait to show her the 4th one tomorrow, always been one of my favorites
Over the rainbow means the order of the original colors. ROY G BIV is something I learned in like elementary school it’s red orange yellow green blue indigo violet. He has to enter the numbers in that order
I think i've figured it out. I think the idea for the "over the rainbow". Was for Amanda to know the combination to the safe. Because, there are only 7 colors in the rainbow. Amanda is the 8th participant in the trap(so she didn't have a number in the back of her head). I'm assuming the idea was, that the other 7 were supposed to go thru the traps and work together. And at the end. Amanda sets them free. I could be wrong. But, for my sanity. It's what i choose to believe. lol
This was such an awesome sequel. I loooove the ending. John Kramer sitting alone in the van, beaten half to death, broken fingers, dying of cancer, yet he is smiling. Awesome sequel.
Lastly, a lot of people say the Needle Pit from this is the worst trap. But to me, I say The Furnace is the worst and most painful one. Being burned alive. One that they ripped off in 3D.
I knew it! This movie kept reminding me of something.....The Cube (1997). That character that loses it and turns on everyone....very similar to this one. Great sequel.
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 I did before I even saw the film. In fact, as soon as Xavier found Gus’ number by accident, I knew where the solution to that safe was going. Sadly, it was not revealed what the orange number was, and some say they can see the one Xavier had, others say they can’t. To be fair, there are certainly some who wouldn’t retain the info, but John was going for what in his mind most people would know. “If you’re good at anticipating the human mind, it leaves nothing to chance.” ~John Kramer, Saw V.
Hey man Great Review, i agree with you Saw maybe the best horror franchise overall. Good point about Daniel maybe never being sick never thought of it like that lol
Yeah the eye part lmao! Last fall I was in the hospital because apparently I got something in my right eye overnight and it scratched my cornea...I had to go to immediate urgent care cause it set up infection super fast...anyway they put numbing eye drops in my eye and I had to stare into a bright light all the while it's light sensitive....they then had to scrape my eye with a Fucking scalpel looking thing to send it off for testing...talking about freaking out.....my eye ended up having staph in it and I had to take a serious treatment of eye drops....I've suffered some vision loss due to it...and I still gotta take eye drops occasionally when it feels dry...so yeah fun fun lol
I always thought.... After first viewing that the detectives son and amanda were never infected with the poison. And yea second viewing is cool with movies like these totally agree with you! But first viewing was the reaction like that was the mind blow view. As far as over the rainbow goes its the color of ink the numbers are wrote with I'm assuming its the order of the rainbow over so from top to bottom... Idk what's usually on top but red orange yellow green blue purple I might be missing one color so... One of the people didnt have a number on them? Or one of the numbers wasnt spose to be used ..... Cause it wasnt a color of the rainbow
To be honest, the only Saw film that I feel comes even close to being “torture porn,” is Saw 7. That’s it, and that’s because that one is to me the most graphic one and is the one that feels the most like a typical slasher film (you even have Hoffman act like Jason Voorhees when he goes on his Terminator-style rampage in the precinct). The rest of them are to me more more like “graphic thrillers” with mystery elements. Still horror, but not a “gorno” as some claim it is.
My favourite movie in the franchise. Just like Freddy's Revenge, it gets better with every viewing. Why did i have to think of NOES Part 2 the whole time i was watching? Weird........
stuff with cutting eyes and lobotomy (Session 9) doesn't make me cringe like it used to, I've got a 5mm scar on my eyeball from being poked in the eye (ahem while under age drinking in a dive bar) and once you've had that it's got no cringe left to give, while my sister was going pale, i was like ''try having your eyelid stick to an eye scar at 6am when your alarm is going off and you can't find your phone with only one open eye!''
This is probs my favourite movie of the series. As for Torture Porn, its a stupid term that stuck unfortunately just like Video Nasty. Dumb media bollocks. Its unfortunate cos these movies just like Hostel etc are just horror movies. A lot of people dont want them to be but they are.
Jason enters his living room and on the table he notice 7 more tape recorders one for the remaining Saw movies. "Play me" You have tease fans of your love of the 6 middle earth movies. When you do reviews in your living room you in a way give the middle figure to people who love these movies and yet refuse to review them. You have until Christmas day to review them all. I always thought it was called that because of the physical torture that the characters go through in these movies. And the porn party is because of the attractive actors/actresses that portray the characters being tortured. Or that's what o read a long time ago on Wikipedia or something. Lol. And the movies that are filled with gruesome death and gore like the Friday movies and such I call them splatter films.
To be honest, I’ve reached a point with the Saw films that only one trap actually still bothers me a bit (the Rack Trap in Saw 3). The rest I actually find to be a bit knarly. I vividly remember when I saw the Subway Trap from Spiral in theaters and after it played out I was thinking “Damn, that was brutal… but also quite knarly. I wonder how they pulled off the effects for that one.”

@@sinistercinemareviews5420 I’ll never tel my someone they wrong for having an opinion as long as it’s not involving anything ethical lol. Only one I really liked was the silent circle with the fishhooks. The rest didn’t really make sense like 2 ppl over the lawnmowers like how y’all get up there ina pole witb barbed wire. You can’t be knocked out and just put there cause nobody could just hold theyself up there unconscious and they were holding onto some type of barbed wire at that lol, or everyone getting mowed down with a machine gun lol, or all had very easy solutions like moving the buzzsaw away from the middle but not all the way to touching someone so everyone is fine, the racist coukd of easily used his feet when only his back was glued, he could of easily just met the blindfold guy half way since he could see lol, the wife got killed for no reason, and he could of beat that by not putting the hooks in his chest and just climbing the rope lmao.
