ADVERTISING
As content creation is our business and how we earn our living you will see advertising in our content from time to time in different forms:
We are very selective about what brands we work with on paid/sponsored content creation and as a rule we don't work with any brand that we don't already or wouldn't spend our own money on. We are incredibly proud of all our brand partnership content and it will always be disclaimed in the most transparent way possible so you know exactly what is and 'AD'.
We also use 'Affiliate Links' in the description boxes below our videos and if you make a purchase via these links we will earn a small percentage of commission depending on the sale amount. Not all links are affiliate links but just assume they are.
Any items/links marked with '[AD - Pr products]' are products which have been 'gifted' from the respective brands without a contract for sponsored content. This is still classed as a form of advertising because nothing is ever "free", brands are gaining exposure to our audience by us featuring them, so these items are marked as 'AD-Pr product' in the description box but we are under no obligation to feature these items. And as with our paid content, we never accept gifting/pr products from brands that we don't already or wouldn't spend our money on.

Emma, you've been styling your wardrobe with quiet luxury for years!
Totally agree.
Yep. Fashion is finally catching up to our style hahaha
@@laineydunlop2161😅😅😊
Whatever the reasons are my opinion is this: Nothing is worth 10k. End of story. I will keep buying my *suluxs* bags.
What an eloquent way to express this concept. For years I’ve liked dressing in a quiet way. As far as quality I have a jean jacket from the Gap that is 25 years old and linen pants from Old Navy that are at least 6 years old. It’s about being thoughtful and buying clothes that stand the test of time.
I splurge at the END of the season on big ticket items like trench coats, sweaters, winter coats & boots. It's sad knowing that I've just purchased gorgeous things that i can't wear until next fall. But instead of paying $400-$800 I've spent $175-$225.
I get my tees cheap at old navy, h&m, the gap, j crew, Macys. I take excellent care of them as if they were $100+ each.
Belts are a one time purchase & last years so i suggest getting the best you can afford.
I buy a lot of my blouses vintage or 2nd hand. J Crew has a pre owned section on their website that is AWESOME.
I appreciate a fashion influencer that’s not caught up on luxury brands just to name drop. The point of a capsule is a minimum of quality pieces that has versatility within.
So well done, addressing this particular “themed trend” with such grace, maturity and empathy, Emma. Such a class act 💐❤️👏🏻
I concur with you.🍀
When talking about Quiet Luxury you are given as an example, seriously! Perfect timing and great content Emma, thank you! Every single time I buy something in trends I simply can’t style it after a month and keep coming back to basics. Less is more, no matter what current TikTok/IG trends are trying to tell you 😉
You have been our quiet luxury inspo for years now!! Thank you for this! I especially agree with quiet luxury being about high quality clothes that you care for and make last through the years. It’s far more than just a trend. Thank you!
This topic was made for you Emma. I love that you emphasised the fact that you don't have to break the bank. Thank you 🖤
But the items she shows is more than $50 dollars
@@cariefrost2930she repentantly said you can find more affordable options
No one does it better Emma. Anyone can have this wardrobe. Thank you for “quiet luxury” and classic sophisticated style. Best fashion vlog.
Loved loved loved LOVED this video, Emma. Superb looks and styling advice, as always, but SO good to see you encouraging people to get into pre-loved fashion. It's vital that we all learn to change the way we think about fashion and move towards buying less/better/aiming at a circular economy. Brava 👏
nope, my Japanese grandfather said never to use someone else's clothes, and never buy someone else's furniture. He was a Feng Shui practitioner and he said objects hold memories and energy. So, one must be mindful of the things we bring into one's home. When you bring an object that has been used by someone else, you are also bringing their energy into your house. He always told us, "don't buy 2nd hand, only buy new, and only what you can afford buying new."
That is true ❤
Fab as always Emma. These funny terms that pop up on social media make me roll my eyes!! There's never really anything new in fashion, my mum always said that when I was a teen & having reached middle age myself you see all the trends come and go and come back again 😀. Apart from specific themes I think there's only ever 2 styles, classic & on trend. Emma's style is just 'look good in everything' 😍 x
Your best video yet! Thank you for keeping everything so classy and sooo real! 🫶🏼
Loved this well put together video Emma! Simon’s editing is excellent too!
Love all the pieces and the minimalistic aesthetic 🤍
I am a guy but I love the style you present …super classy yet pleasing to the eyes
This is the best presentation of clothes ever. Love it. Most presenters of clothes show themselves talking and talking shows Maybe 10% clothes. Thank you Emma Hill.
This video has the exact looks I prefer. Thank you so much ! Loved every minute.
As always, you nailed it, Emma! The term "quiet luxury' may be trending, but it really is not a new idea. Isn't it funny that the fashion world caught up to you!
Haha well even I got this from generations before me 🙌🏼
I love this, you've covered all the bases and I am on the same page with you about comfort and minimal branding.
The variety of textures in the *luxdups* pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.
Great video Emma! ❤ Nice to see someone in the SoMe space that is staying real to themselves and not encouraging fast fashion.
I needed this video! I was looking all around RUclips/internet for these resources. Glad I found this! Thank you SO MUCH for the helpful information! LOVE it
Always such good advice. I am in Australia and have been watching you for years. loving the house by the way
Love this video format!! A great watch. Thank you 🙏 😊
Brilliant Emma is the anything you aren't good at lol it all seems so easy when you say and show us how to put together a simple but stylish outfit, and don't even get me started on your work on your beautiful home, not forgetting Simon in the home side .Thanks you 😊
Thank you so much Emma for great tips ! This video is like a music to my ears ❤ Have a nice sunday !
Love your style, Emma. Always quietly trendy ❤
When I heard 'quiet luxury' I thought of you immediately! Another great blog Emma, thank you!
This has your name written all over it!! 🙊 You’ve been informing and giving us advice over the years on how to achieve this and build a capsule wardrobe with good quality fabrics and materials without breaking the bank, and focussing on buying more pre-loved items 🙌🏻. Great video ❤
The world caught up to Emma on Quiet Luxury, and they know it! Emma I’ve been following for many years and I feel so proud when I see your pictures being used on TikTok, everyone wants to be like you now 😊 this video is very special!
That’s really cool! Not on that platform but she does exude this style.
Oh I didn’t know I’d made it on to TikTok 🙊 I can’t take any credit though, I’ve learnt from generations before me when all clothes were made to a high quality before super fast fashion came along x
Your hair looks amazing!
Your personal take on this topic and the editing in this vid were superb. Loved it all. lots of practical takeaways and visually 👌👌
Thank you for this video Emma! This is so helpful and giving me a starting point moving forward.
I bought a LV bag *luxdups* years ago. I took it to the LV store in my town last week to have it repaired. The store clerk inspected my bag and immediately told me that the bag was of good quality. She pulled a current bag out of inventory and compared the tags and I found zero differences
You understand the consumer so well. Thank you!
Always love your style Emma. Keep up the good work!
Perfect as always Emma, thank you.
Yes yes yes loved every outfit
Loved this video thank you! Would love something like this but with a focus on evening / “event” outfits! Find this so stressful to just not panic buy 😮 but would love your approach to your going out outfits! Xx
My approach to events = avoid and make every excuse not to go 🤣🤣🤣
Even at h&m you can really find some awesome pieces. Their jeans and linen pieces live in my closet 10 years and plus.
Taking care of your wardrobe makes a huge difference 😊 awesome Video, as Always, Emma
I completely agree! I have some H&M premium pieces which I’ve had and worn frequently for a good few years 🙌🏼
I've found some good pieces there too! I also feel like hang drying garments rather than putting them in a dry has really extended the life cycle of my clothes.
When I first started hearing the term quiet luxury, I thought of you. You're the epitome of that look.
Great video as always, thank you so much for inspiration!
Brilliant! First time viewer, liked, and subscribed…. I just might watch it again, simple, quality, interchangeable.. Thank you!
Victoria
You truly are the master of this Emma! Thank you for a great video 🤍
Hi Emma. Great video- great styling- great advice 💖🌸
You always have amazing looks.
OMG Emma, this video was brilliant! Thank you x
When I need simple yet chic outfir inspos I just go back to Emma’s video or IG🥰
Well done, just as I knew it would be! Great choices and tips, but your explanations are just stellar. That’s what helps your viewers understand the concepts, and feel confident to make their own choices. 👏👍❤
Classic style emma thank you ❤
I always buy pre-love stuff not only to save money but to save the planet too 😊
Brilliant and useful video. Thank you so much
So well said and spoken Emma! Great content. True, sometimes we can't afford high end brans but these are good ideas 👍
I am used to iron my cotton shirts.
The content is spot on I find I prefer to buy high end clothes that are pre owned it's the hunt for the perfect combination of function durability and beauty
Love the video Emma!
Dearest Emma, This time I have been waiting very impatiently for your new video and in main time I was seeing your old videos. I have been through some tough time and need to update my wardrobe. Your new video is on a perfect time and very helpful to me 😊 Thank you for being such an inspiration. Lots of love from Denmark 🇩🇰
Great video! Totally agree with the fact that you don’t need famous brands to get good quality items. Personaly i think that is not very refined to be cover in logos and that it s probably just to show how much you spend. Love your chanel.😊
Hello Emma, thank you for this selection 😉 Good pieces, good choices that last longer that's the best advice 👍😘
Sage advice! Great topic.
Thank you great advice.
Thank you so much Emma for these usefull tips i'm in love with your style❤
The best video ever! Loved this with my morning coffee ❤
Agreed. Your style is quiet luxury. I have learned so much from you. 😊
Impeccable as always! 💎
I agree Emma, Im 50 and have never (not even in my teens), followed fashion, simply because I never want the same as everyone else. I have an excellent eye for quality and style generally. I have every colour under the sun because I can wear most colours, but black white and blue are my ultimate favourites.I do have lots of clothes, designer and regular. I don't bye any with a name plastered over it as I think it's tacky, and I don't shop at Zara!
You are so lucky to have known what you love from such a young age. For some people it takes them time to discover what they truly like, I am one of those people. I used to love experimenting with trends and colour in my 20’s but grew out of that as I went into my 30’s and now I know what I like after that trial and error. I don’t regret my experimental days though as they got me to this point, a point where I finally feel confident 😊
Thank you for this amazing video and recommendations! Such a treasure!
I was watching a blog about wealthy stylish women and your photo popped up, you looked extremely timeless. I also took a photo although I don’t know how to put it on here lol
I wanna add something: I buy viriginwool blazers in charityshops in the men's section, shirts too
So that's an option to look at too
✌🏻🌸
Oh yes totally! Never discount the men’s section, I have a few men’s blazers in my collection and they’re great 🙌🏼
This was great!!
Loved this!! I bought the exact same veja sneakers as you after seeing them on sale here in New Zealand. Best decision ever! They're comfy and light. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with such grace. I always look forward to your videos. I can't wait for more ❤
where are they on sale? i’m in nz too!
Hello Emma.I really enjoyed your ideas and suggestions. Thanks a lot!
Muchas gracias, gran video❤
I love pre loved shopping
Over the years your channel has revolutionised my wardrobe.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Such a great video. Thank you very much, Emma. You are right 😀
Emma !! You are quiet Luxury ❤thank you for reminding us how to be mindful with our purchase’s!,
love it, like always❤
Thanks Emma I really enjoyed this . Excellent advice as always. 😊
Ideales. Me encanta tu estylo. Gracias
.
Thank you for your take on this topic.
I found out long ago that this aesthetic is not my vibe, as i prefer my clothes more colourful, with patterns and prints. I do tend to buy at thrift stores and really like the used look and i don't mind not being classy woman. I'm a mindful maximalist now with the help of your videos.
We don't have to share aesthetics to be inspired, that is wonderfull to me :)
Absolutely! If we all liked the same things the world would be a boring place. Every person should be able to dress however they like, in an ideal world with no judgement, but so long as someone feels confident in what they’re wearing I’m here for that 🙌🏼
Love your style💓
Thanks, Emma, that was as always a great video. 👍🏽
In my opinion one of your best videos thanks Emma
Thank you x
Sézane are really good, too.
Excellent! Thanks.
I like how you're shooting in different parts of the house as backdrop.
This is so helpful
Love your style from Japan🎉❤
Lovely! Subscribed
Master lesson!🧡
Just love the way you put things together so naturally- and so much DIY most days - its truly inspirational-
I do have a question thats been on my mind - who does the video recording for you - or do you pull that off yourself as well.
The cameras and mic are on tripods so I just press record. Simon my husband and business partner then edits all the footage, and he’s very good at it 💞
@@EmmaHill You are brilliant - and your husband is such an asset -stay blessed .
Your hair color is lovely
Shakira at Fendi yesterday, She defo did the Quiet Wealthy Look!
Bravo Emma, Bravo!❤
Just found out your channel.. And I am getting attractive so much. Thanks for sharing with beautiful outfil and useful things ❤
Great video, and thank you for not hoping on board with the trending terminology!
I've been wearing more understated pieces for years, so the luxury/ old money terms that have been trending have my teeth on edge, partly because of the elitist connotations and partly because I'm not trying to look like something I'm not! I would say my style is not too shouty because I'm more introverted, so while I love pops if red, I wont go all out red.
In some ways, the terminology is ironic, as understated is always popular in times of economic and/ or political uncertainty - so the implication is that genuine old money people don't want to look overtly rich. Logos will come around again, just wait for the next economic up turn! I dont associate logos with new money btw, more with people who are more extrovert!
Tbh these terms completely went under my radar. I’m not on TikTok so only found out about this ‘quiet luxury’ term from followers. But I agree, now I know what’s going on I’m not keen on the way these terms are being packaged. Each to their own and all that but it’s not for me.
Love your style and I am trying to be more classic like this. But being a petite 5ft nothing I really struggle finding jackets without arms that come down way past my hands or that just drown me overall 😢
Thank you Emma. Very informative. Lovely to know we share the same Surname.
